Abstract

This research was designed using qualitative research method with case study type. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the difficulties of students in writing free poetry and to find out the influence of language skills and vocabulary on the quality of poetry written by grade V students of SDN Sanggrahan. The subjects of this study were 13 fifth grade students. Data collection used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This research was conducted in January - February 2025. This study shows the results that there are still difficulties in writing free poetry. This can be seen in the results of students' free poetry, most students write free poetry without using diction, imagery, inappropriate language style, rhyme, and rhythm. As a result, the results of students' poetry writing do not show the overall physical and inner structure of free poetry. As well as the lack of vocabulary mastery and language skills make poetry writing less than optimal.

Abstract

Hubungan antara eksploitasi alam dan perempuan sering kali mencerminkan struktur patriarki yang mendominasi masyarakat, sebagaimana digambarkan dalam cerpen "Kehidupan di Dasar Telaga" karya S. Prasetyo Utomo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis eksploitasi terhadap alam dan perempuan dalam cerpen tersebut melalui perspektif ekofeminisme. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis dokumen. Data diambil dari cerpen "Kehidupan di Dasar Telaga," yang dianalisis menggunakan model analisis data mengalir oleh Miles dan Huberman, meliputi pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa eksploitasi alam dan perempuan dalam cerpen ini saling berkaitan dan mencerminkan dominasi patriarki, di mana alam dan perempuan diposisikan sebagai objek yang dapat dimanfaatkan tanpa mempertimbangkan keberlanjutan atau keadilan. Analisis ekofeminisme mengungkap bagaimana karya sastra dapat menjadi medium untuk menyuarakan kritik terhadap ketidakadilan sosial dan ekologis. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang bagaimana sastra merepresentasikan relasi hierarkis dalam struktur sosial, sekaligus memperkuat peran sastra sebagai alat untuk membangun kesadaran kritis terhadap isu lingkungan dan gender.

Abstract

Penulisan yang koheren dan kohesif merupakan keterampilan penting dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA), terutama di lingkungan multibahasa seperti Timor-Leste, di mana bahasa ibu siswa dapat memengaruhi cara mereka membangun teks dalam bahasa kedua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, mengukur frekuensi, dan menganalisis konteks penggunaan kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal dalam tulisan deskriptif siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri Liquiçá, Timor-Leste. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tugas menulis teks deskriptif oleh 20 siswa yang diminta menggambarkan kecamatan asal mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kohesi gramatikal didominasi oleh penggunaan konjungsi (78 kali) dan referensi (25 kali), sedangkan kohesi leksikal paling sering muncul dalam bentuk repetisi (53 kali) dan kolokasi (28 kali). Sementara itu, penggunaan substitusi, elipsis, sinonim, dan antonim masih terbatas, yang mencerminkan minimnya variasi dalam struktur dan kosakata tulisan siswa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa meskipun siswa telah memahami bentuk kohesi dasar, mereka masih memerlukan penguatan dalam penguasaan kohesi yang lebih kompleks. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya pengembangan strategi pengajaran menulis dalam program BIPA yang lebih menekankan pada variasi kohesi dan pengayaan kosakata, serta memperhatikan latar belakang bahasa ibu siswa agar mampu menghasilkan teks yang koheren, variatif, dan efektif.

Abstract

This research analyzes Generational Shifts and Linguistic Tensions: Controversial Use of Slang in Heterogeneous Islamic Boarding School Communities. The aim of this research is to explore the dynamics of the use of slang among students in heterogeneous Islamic boarding schools, with a focus on how this language shapes their daily communication, analyzing the sociolinguistic impact of slang on traditional linguistic norms in the Islamic boarding school environment. The method used in this research is a qualitative method that directly observes the phenomenon of language shift in Islamic boarding schools. Based on the research results, it was found that there was a shift in language which showed a shift in the vocabulary commonly used in everyday conversation, the use of this vocabulary reflects a style of speech that is considered relaxed in interactions between peers, for example the words "santuy", "sabi", "kuy" etc. The implications of this research can be used as a benchmark for intergenerational language shifts in Islamic boarding schools and reveal how modern language trends interact with established cultural and religious expectations.

Abstract

This research is urgent because Donne Maulana's album "Daur Hidup" incorporates implied meanings regarding the turmoil of his life within its lyrics. This research intends to examine how the language in the lyrics of Donne Maulana's album "Daur Hidup" portrays the quarter life crisis phenomenon. This study employs qualitative research utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach, which includes analysis, explanation, and description of different conditions and situations found in the gathered data to deeply investigate the phenomenon of quarter life crisis depicted in song lyrics. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data lisan atau tertulis dalam bentuk lirik lagu dari album "Daur Hidup" oleh Donne Maulana, serta sumber data dari 9 lagu yang terdapat dalam album "Daur Hidup" tersebut. Methods and processes for data gathering involve reading and writing. The study's results suggest that the lyrics of Donne Maulana's album "Daur Hidup" accurately portray the quarter life crisis, as evidenced by the signs and indicators present in the song lyrics and the internal factors affecting this phenomenon.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan metode estafet writing dengan kemampuan menulis teks narasi peserta didik. Kegiatan di laksanakan dengan mengimplementasikan jenis pendekatan eksperimen pada jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Langkah pertama pada pendekatan ini yakni menentukan dua variabel yang di gunakan pada penelitian. Variabel pertama di tempatkan sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional dan variabel lainnya di tempatkan sebagai pengukur perbedaan yakni kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang di terapkan yaitu probability sampling dengan menetapkan dua sampel penelitian. dari jumlah populasi 101 siswa kelas VII 33 siswa didapatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis teks narasi terlihat perbedaan yang signifikan karena telah menggunakan metode menulis bergilir (estafet writing). Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t yang menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (Sig.) sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05). Maka dapat disimpulkan metode estafet writing berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis teks narasi.

Abstract

Language plays an important role as a means of communication and reflection of culture and human thinking. In the development of language, euphemism is a form of language style used to convey meaning in a subtle and polite way so as not to offend feelings. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. This method involves collecting library data, reading, and recording relevant data and research materials in the Buya Hamka Vol.1 and Vol.2 films. This research is not tied to a particular place, because this study uses film objects that can be watched via the netflix application, and the time of this research was conducted for one semester. This study uses data in the form of words and sentences in the Buya Hamka Vol.1 and Vol.2 films.The data technique used is the listening and recording technique and documents in the form of images. The listening and recording technique can be done by listening to the Buya Hamka Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 films. The data analysis technique in this study is dialogue between characters to find out the forms of euphemism from the Buya Hamka Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 films. The results of the data found were 25 data in 5 forms of euphemism. This study focuses on the form and meaning of euphemism in the film Buya Hamka Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. This study aims to analyze the form and meaning of euphemism that appears in the film.

Abstract

The learning of literary is very important because with literary, students can develop thinking abilities, skills, and increase sensitivity through character. However, literary learning is often only a supporting material for Bahasa Indonesia which tend to be ignored. This research aims to reveal the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of literary learning in the Kurikulum Merdeka. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with primary data sources being information obtained from teachers and students of five high schools in East Belitung Regency through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are obtained through analysis of documents accompanying learning, such as modules and evaluation result data. The data were then analysed using the Miles, Huberman and Saldana model. The results of the analysis show that literary learning in the Kurikulum Merdeka has strengths, namely being bound by the curriculum, innovative learning strategies, and technological support. The weaknesses of literary learning lie in the small portion of material, shallow learning, and technology without restrictions. The opportunities for literary learning lie in teacher flexibility and school support. The threats to literary learning that pose a challenge are suboptimal literary learning outcomes, low teacher competence, motivation, and inappropriate learning objectives.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the representation of family values in the short film The Last Ice Cream from Dad through Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach. The qualitative descriptive method was employed, with data collection techniques including comprehensive observation of the film, recording scenes and dialogues containing family values, and identifying the semiotic signs such as icons, indices, and symbols used within the film. Data was systematically recorded on data sheets and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and interpretation of meaning based on visual and verbal context in the film. The results indicate that the film effectively represents family values such as honesty, responsibility, hard work, discipline, and affection through the use of semiotic signs that form a strong visual and emotional narrative. These values are depicted through interactions of characters, visual symbols, and meaningful dialogues, emphasizing the significant role of family and the father figure in shaping moral and social character. This study concludes that films, especially short films, can serve as effective educational tools in instilling and strengthening family values within society. The findings support the development of character education media oriented towards family and cultural values to enhance the quality of character education in the nation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of Canva's digital media in the learning process of writing biographical texts for grade X students and to describe the exploration of students' creativity through the use of Canva in biographical text writing. This research method uses qualitative with a descriptive presentation of the research results. This data collection technique uses observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation studies. Data analysis in this study includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing data. The results of this study explain the application of Canva digital media in learning to write biographical texts which includes the planning stage carried out by the teacher, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. Then explore students' creativity in writing biographical text in the form of infographics using Canva. Thus, students can develop ideas and present biographical texts in the form of posters or infographics so as to create an interesting and informative text display to read.
