Abstract The paper examines the use of Google Translate as an Alternative tool for assisting students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia to translate and develop their knowledge and skills in doing Translation. The participants of the study were 36 students at the Applied Linguistic of Doctoral Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta who had registered of the year 2017. Based on literature review, analysis of the collecting data, and an assessment of the course content and activities inside and outside the learning process, the findings suggest that most Applied Linguistic of Doctoral Program students at Universitas Negeri Jakarta recognize Google Translate as an Alternative tool for doing references book translation. In fact, some students reported that they could optimally ,benefit from self-learning if they were assisted to use Google Translate effectively. Moreover, using Google Translate for doing classroom tasks and reference books translation encourage students to study independently, and to shape their own strategies for solving language problem. ABSTRACT The aim of the research is analyzing the utterances of Mr. Joko Widodo as president of Indonesia with vloggers. In this study, the writer analyzes the rules of president conducting his utterances at vloggers’ vlogs. The vlogs taken from skinnyindonesian24 which has 1.3M subscribers and Arif Muhammad which has 1.5M subscribers (data per November 25, 2018). The data taken and analyzed both qualitative and quantitative data. The elaboration of the methods used to measure language politeness, to count the data whether politenes or not. The data taken from Arif Muhammad’s vlog (1.596.033 subscribers) which entitle Ngevlog bareng Presiden and SkinnyIndonesian24 were created by brothers Andovi da Lopez and Jovial da Lopez’s vlogwho have 1.344.548 subscribers entitleHow to Become a President. The result of this research imply both of the vlogs Mr. Joko Widodo applies politeness strategies even in informal situation both vlogs. He acts extraordinary pragmatic forces and high politeness. Abstract The objectives of this study were to find out the effect of implementation of scientific method assisted by graphic media to improve students' English speaking skills. The research used action research design. The subjects were 30 second year eight class students of SMPN 1 Cikidang Sukabumi. Observation, interviews, stionnaires, and documentation were employed to collect the data of the students‟ learning ctivities and speaking tests were conducted to identify students‟ speaking achievement. In the scientific method students carry out observing, asking, trying, reasoning and communicating activities, where these activities can train students to speak English. The implementation of this study by applying the scientific method assisted by graphic media is as much as two cycles. In the pre-action stage there were 2 students with a percentage of learning completeness of 6.7%, after the action applied in the first cycle, as many as 8 students with a percentage of learning completeness 26.7% and English speaking skills of students after the second cycle, as many as 28 students with a percentage of 93.3% learning completeness. So, it can be concluded that the scientific method assisted by graphic media can improve English speaking skills of class VIII H students of SMPN 1 Cikidang Sukabumi. ABSTRACT This research is a qualitative research. The technique is content analysis using the data in the form of words, phrases, and sentences. Writer uses a psychoanalysis study. In revealing moral values infringement, writer focuses on three questions; how are the type, cause, and effect of moral values violations in the story. Based on psychoanalysis, there is a moral value infringement. The type of moral values infringement is a murdering case. The cause of moral values violations is a self ambition to reach wealth and prosperity. The effect of moral values violations is a charge of death sentence. Based on the research, there are practical implications in education; to improve the quality and quantity of literature learning in high schools in accordance with the objectives contained in the curriculum. ABSTRACT The connection of nature with literary works raises concepts about ecological problems in literature among literary critics. Many environmental problems that occur at this time. Through poetry, fairy tales and other literary works, the writers mention this in their works. Ecocritic has a basic paradigm that every object can be seen in ecological networks, and ecology can be a helpful science in this critical approach. Environmental insight can be obtained through a literary work. Some writers in Indonesia make nature and the environment a prominent part of their works. In addition to literary works such as poetry and novels, fairy tales have first explored nature. In fairy tales, nature is described as the place of life of the characters. That way, fairy tales indirectly invite the audience to come into contact with environmental insights that need to be studied and applied in everyday life. AbstractThis research points to gain the comprehensive of socialism ideology in novel O by Eka Kurniawan investigated by genetical structuralism. A novel is an interesting literary work contains kinds of topics inside, but there is stil a line or certain contents on it. A social genre novel brings social stories in this research. This research inspects how socialism ideology described in this novel by genetics structuralism. The focus goaled to find out how does socialism ideology describe the existence of humanism fact in novel O based on genetics structuralism. Analytic method used in this research, it observes attentively technic and notes after the writer read and studied the novel many times to gain a better comprehensive. Research result shows that there is socialism ideology based on humanity fact described in novel O written by Eka Kurniawan has seen on a police character that is social classes cover ; lower social class taken by a monkey, a description of lower society beside police as a middle class.Keywords: Socialism Ideology, Novel O, Genetics Structuralism

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Metode Mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar kosakata bahasa Inggris siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Model penelitian ini menggunakan metode mirip eksperimen dengan tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 butir mengenai kosakata bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampling secara random sampling terpilih sebanyak 29 siswa sebagai sampel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji-t pada taraf signifikan 0,05.Setelah peneliti meneliti Pengaruh metode Mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar kosakata bahasa Inggris, akhirnya peneliti mendapatkan kesimpulan dengan membandingkan nilai t hitung sebesar 7,19 dan t tabel 1,67 ( thitung > t tabel), berarti hipotesis yang peneliti ajukan diterima yaitu ada pengaruh metode Mind mapping yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kosakata bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu, guru disarankan untuk menggunakan metode Mind mapping untuk memperkaya kosakata bahasa inggris.Kata Kunci : Metode, Mind mapping dan Kosakata Bahasa InggrisAbstractThe purpose of the study is to know the effect of Mind mapping method toward the result of English Vocabbulary study for fifth grade the students of Elementary School. This method used experimental method. The writer used option test as the instrument. The sampling technique that was used in this research was random. The writer took twenty-nine students as sample. The data was analyzed by using t-test on the significance level ï¡= 0.05.After the researcher had done the research about the effect of Poster’ Media toward the result of vocabulary, the researcher got the conclusion by comparing the value of t-value = 7.19 and t-table =1.67 (t-value>t-table). It meant that the hypothesis which the researcher observed is accepted; there is the effect of Mind mapping method toward the result of English vocabulary . So the teacher is suggested to use the Mind mapping method to enrich the vocabulary.Key words: Method, Mind mapping, and Vocabulary

ABSTRACT This research called classroom action research (CAR) which combined with Chinese teaching material products. The researcher tried to use a Chinese module that was made by himself to improve the ability of students' speaking skills by collaborating with the application of the think pair share technique. Pretest Testing, Cycle 1 Test and Cycle 2 Test use the same test questions by testing 30 vocabulary words which is spoken verbally by each student. In the pre-test 21 students (95%) were ranked D and only 1 student (5%) was ranked C. The percentage of each indirect cycle increased until the final result of cycle 2 was 27% of students still ranked D, 50% of students rated C and 23% of students are rated B. This result is quite satisfying for researchers because Mandarin language skills are quite difficult lessons for beginners especially those who have very little study time but are required to master a lot of pronunciation and vocabulary. The purpose of this study is describe expression of structural violence in Bagong Czech playwright, Czech Togog, Petruk and the Czech Republic Cangik by N. Riantiarno, describe expression of social violence in plays Bagong Republic, the Republic of Togog, Petruk and the Czech Republic Cangik by N. Riantiarno. describe Individual violent expression plays in Bagong Republic, the Republic of Togog, Petruk and the Czech Republic Cangik by N. Riantiarno. The expression of collective violence theory is mapped into three variations of the basic idea. In the context of the structural repression of the rights holder, the social context of the horizontal dimension of community and individual contexts both psychologically or biologically.This is a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques used in this research is the engineering documentation, read technique, as well as the techniques noted. Description of the analytical techniques used to describe data and content analysis was used to analyze the meaning of the message and reveal the message in the data.The results of this study (1) expression of structural violence in the data source, is dominated by the behavior of government officials to launch an interest group, (2) the expression of social violence in the data source, dominated by injustice policies and perspectives, (3) the expression of violent individual in the data source, is dominated by the behavior of retention of existence and desire control of power. Abstract This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of facebook towards students’ writing recount text and vocabulary mastery. This paper used a true experimental research. Two classes of eighth grade from SMP Negeri 1 Labuan were selected as the experimental group and control group. Both are consisted 60 students. In the process of experiment, one class has been taught by using facebook, meanwhile the other taught by using conventional media. The research method used the true experimental, technique sampling is random, data collection techniques uses abilities test writing skill and abilities test vocabulary mastery, data analysis is done by statistics MANOVA (Multivariate analysis of variants). The results concluded that: 1) there is a significant effect of facebook towards students’ writing skill and vocabulary mastery multivariate; 2) there is a significant effect of facebook towards students’ writing skill; and 3) there is a significant effect of facebook towards vocabulary mastery. The results of the study imply that there are significant differences between students’ Writing recount text and vocabulary mastery, students group use facebook media with capabilities students’ writing skill and vocabulary mastery group of students who were given conventional learning media.
