Jurnal AL - AZHAR SERI HUMANIORA merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang memuat makalah dan artikel hasil penelitian atau kajian teoristis dalam bidang Humaniora. Kata Al-Azhar berakar dari z-h-r. Verba zahara bermakna to shine, give light, be radiant, to glow, gleam, glare, shine, to blossom, be in bloom (Wehr, 1974:384). Dengan demikian kata Al-Azhar berarti sesuatu yang bersinar, yang memberi cahaya, yang berseri-seri atau yang mekar. Abstract

Pedagang di Pasar Rakyat Dawe sangat heterogen dan multikultural. Pasar ini terletak sangat strategis karena berlokasi di jalan yang menghubungkan antara Kota Kudus ke Makam Sunan Muria di Gunung Muria dan terdapat beberapa kelompok etnis, antara lain Jawa dan Batak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki relasi sosial yang terjadi di antara para pedagang di Pasar Rakyat Dawe, yang terdiri dari kerja sama, persaingan dan konflik. Metodologi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan jumlah empat informan yang diantaranya mempunyai motif berbeda serta latar belakang yang beragam dari etnis jawa dan etnis batak. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Mengumpulkan, mereduksi, menampilkan dan menarik kesimpulan adalah metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Pasar Rakyat Dawe terdapat relasi sosial berupa kerja sama, gotong royong dan persaingan ekonomi antara pedagang Etnis Jawa dan Etnis Batak.Keywords - Dawe People's Market, Sosial Relations, Traders.

Abstract

Students often face new challenges during lectures, such as academic pressure that can affect the psychological conditions of students, especially anxiety. Personality factors and social support have a role in influencing anxiety. This study examines the relationship between personality and social support with anxiety in undergraduate students in Solo Raya, and to determine differences in anxiety based on gender. This study uses a Quantitative Correlational Approach involving 360 active students aged 18-25 from state and private universities in Solo Raya. The research instrument includes an anxiety scale, personality and social support. Sampling uses a simple random sampling technique. Data analysis is carried out by multiple linear regression analysis and product-moment correlation. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between personality and social support with anxiety (F = 290.270; p = 0.000; p = 0.05). There is a significant negative relationship between personality and anxiety (r = -0.781; p = 0.000) and between social support and anxiety (r = -0.132; p = 0.012). This study found that women experience anxiety of 3.075 higher than men. The effective contribution of personality variables and social support for anxiety is 61.9%. Practical benefits are contributing to developing counseling programs and more effective psychological support in the tertiary environment.Keywords – Anxiety, College Student, Personality, Social Support.

Abstract

The tradition of reciting Manaqib Syekh Muhammad Samman in Palembang has deep historical and religious roots, especially in the Nimbang Bunting traditional ceremony.  This tradition reflects the religious identity of the Palembang people while preserving ancestral heritage which is a means of prayer and preserving the community's moral values. This Research aims to describe the tradition of reading the Manaqib of Sheikh Muhammad Samman, authored by Sheikh Azhari, in the Nimbang Bunting ceremony in Palembang. The study uses a qualitative approach, with data collected through direct observation during the ceremony and interviews with Manaqib readers and ceremony participants. The data were analyzed descriptively to illustrate this tradition. The research findings indicate that reading the Manaqib by specific individuals (women), known as Maco Hol, is the core of the Nimbang Bunting ceremony. The readings are conducted using Latin-Malay scripts, which most participants understand. The ceremony also involves symbols, hopes, and prayers associated with the Manaqib readings. These findings highlight the importance of the tradition of reading the Manaqib of Sheikh Muhammad Samman in the culture and life of the Palembang community. This tradition not only serves as a form of respect for the Sufi figure but also plays a role in strengthening the cultural and religious identity of the local community. Abstract

The large number of cases that occur among teenagers, such as hostility, brawls between groups and other interpersonal conflicts, indicate the low level of personal forgiveness in these teenagers. Forgiveness studies are very important to see the psychological quality of forgiveness in adolescents to reduce deviant behavior such as aggressive behavior. One factor that influences forgiveness is religiosity. The religious norms contained in forgiveness are contained in religiosity. So this research aims to review previous research regarding the relationship between religiosity and forgiveness. Through systematic literature review (SLR) research with a meta-analysis approach, this research contains 17 international and national journal articles taken from the research period from 2010 to 2024. The Meta-analysis uses the Bare-Bone Method which examining sampling and population correlation. The results of this study show that religiosity has an influence on forgiveness. The analysis found a sampling error variance of 0.0025, while the population variance was 0.047. The results of this meta-analysis support previous research on religiosity towards forgiveness. Therefore, to foster and improve forgiveness, the religiosity factor is very important to develop in interventions for adolescent forgiveness. Keywords - Forgiveness, Meta-Analysis, Religiosity.

Abstract

The diversity of religious communities creates challenges in maintaining harmony between religious communities. Various acts of intolerance to radicalism are problems that can disrupt harmony and damage the consensus of the Indonesian nation. Islamic boarding schools as Islamic religious educational institutions have a role in teaching and disseminating understanding that can strengthen and maintain harmony between religious communities in Indonesia, one of which is religious moderation which can be implemented in various ways and approaches for students. The purpose of this study is to identify various types of religious moderation instillation for students. This study uses a systematic literature review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. A systematic search was conducted on the Scopus database using the Publish Or Perish application based on publications from 2019 to 2024 using predetermined keywords. The determination of selection criteria resulted in 8 scientific articles to be analyzed in this study. The results of the study show that the instillation of religious moderation can be carried out by Islamic boarding schools in various ways, such as by combining modern education with traditional Islamic boarding school traditions, implementing multicultural education based on local culture, through understanding Sufi orders, utilizing digital learning, implementing hidden curriculum, organizing interfaith and cultural dialogues and halaqah, using the taghyir approach and strengthening intellectual traditions in the Islamic boarding school environment.Keyword - Religious Moderation, Pesantren, Santri, Systematic Literature Review.

Abstract

Language and gender are two interrelated aspects in linguistic and literary studies. This study aims to analyze the relationship between language and gender in modern Arabic literature, specifically through Nizar Qabbani's verse pieces. Using a Descriptive Qualitative Approach, this study explores how Arabic language represents gender and how cultural norms influence the use of language in literature. The results show that the Arabic language has a gender bias that is reflected in the use of metaphors and sentence structures in Qabbani's verses. The study reveals that Qabbani often uses language to reflect traditional gender views, but also to champion women's rights. This analysis provides insight into the complex relationship between language, culture and gender representation in the context of Arabic literature. From this research, it was found that Nizar Qobbani represented gender with positive things and that he strongly supported the enforcement of gender equality.Keywords – Gender, Language, Nizar Qabbani.

Abstract

The spatial design and application of ornaments in the houses of the Hadrami Arab community in Indonesia has its uniqueness. The distinctiveness features a combination or adaptation of cultures, resulting in a unique design character. This represents the cultural identity that is still maintained by the Hadrami Arab community in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. The type of research in this study is descriptive qualitative. The direct observation method is used to identify problems in the form of the application of space design and Arabic-style ornaments that are still maintained in the Hadrami Arab community house in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta in the Hadrami Al-Barqi family. The findings of this research reveal the application of Arabic-style ornaments with Arabesque characteristics and also the application of space design with Arabic styles both classical and modern. This research is expected to contribute to public understanding of Hadrami Arab culture as a peranakan Arab community that also contributes to Indonesia's multicultural cultural repertoire.Keywords – Hadhrami Arabs, Cultural Identity, Spatial Design, Ornament.

Abstract

Poetry serves as a medium to express the profound relationship between humans and God through mystical traditions. “Tarjumān al-‘Asywāq” by Ibnu Arabi and “Perjalanan ke Langit” by Kuntowijoyo represent the spiritual journey of a servant towards God, a spiritual journey that is full of sufistic values. This research aims to reveal the thoughts of Ibnu Arabi and Kuntowijoyo in the sufistic concept and to reveal the sufistic value of the poem “Tarjumān al-‘Asywāq” by Ibnu Arabi and the poem “Perjalanan ke Langit” by Kuntowijoyo. This research is a comparative research because it compares the sufistic values in the poem “Tarjumān al-‘Asywāq” by Ibnu Arabi and the poem “Perjalanan ke Langit” by Kuntowijoyo. Data collection techniques involving observation and note-taking. The data analysis is comparative analysis and uses a sufism approach. The poem “Tarjumān al-‘Asywāq” is a classical poem using Arabic and the poem “Perjalanan ke langit” is a modern poem using Indonesian. Despite their differences background, languages, countries, and eras, both poems affirm that the spiritual journey can transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, both poems convey universal messages about the search for divine meaning and and the relationship between humans and God.Keywords – Arabic Poetry, Indonesian Poetry, Mysticism, Sufi Values.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an can enhance intellectual and spiritual intelligence. This activity involves mental aspects, which are influenced by motivation. Therefore, this study aims to determine the correlation score between students' motivation in memorizing the Qur'an and their academic performance in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an course. The research method is descriptive quantitative using SPSS analysis. The sample selection used purposive sampling, where the sample consisted of 19 students who are Qur'an memorizers (hafidz). Data collection methods included a questionnaire on motivation for memorizing the Qur'an and learning outcomes in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an course. The results showed that (1) From 19 students who completed the questionnaire, the mean value was 54.53, (2) The average score of assignments, midterm, and final exams in the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an course showed an average value of 82.58, (3) The hypothesis test results from Pearson correlation test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 with a Pearson correlation value of 0.977, indicating a perfect correlation, and simple linear regression test showed a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, with F-value = 354.812, and R square value showing a score of 0.954. This means there is an influence of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Motivation on Student Achievement variable of 95.4%.Keyword - Motivation, Student Achievement, Tahfidz Al-Qur'an.
