Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Banjarwangi Village, Bogor Regency, still face challenges in financial management and tax reporting due to low literacy and limited use of digital technology. This community service program aims to enhance MSME capacity through the implementation of SIAPIK e-Accounting and Coretax e-Tax. The program was conducted using a participatory approach consisting of preparation and coordination, initial condition assessment, training and socialization, implementation assistance, and evaluation. The activity involved 10 active MSMEs out of 20 invited participants. The results indicate an improvement in MSMEs’ understanding and skills in digital financial recording and tax administration. Technology acceptance evaluation using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) shows positive perceptions of ease of use and usefulness, along with behavioral intention and actual use of the applications. This program contributes to improving MSMEs’ financial and tax literacy and supports the strengthening of sustainable business governance.

Abstract

Graphic design skills are important for students in the digital age. However, students at UPKM El-Ma'rifah UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang still face limitations in their theoretical and technical understanding. This community service program aims to enhance the graphic design capabilities of students through structured training based on the observe, imitate, modify method. The program was implemented using a hybrid training and empowerment model, attended by 37 students on November 2, 2024. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments to measure participants' cognitive understanding and satisfaction. The results of the community service showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of graphic design, with an average score increasing from 2.7 (pre-test) to 4.1 (post-test), an increase of 51.9%. The indicators with the highest increase were understanding of the concept of negative space (62.5%) and the principles of color aesthetics (60.0%). The participants' satisfaction level with the training was 94.6%. The majority of participants stated that the training provided technical insights that they did not obtain during their self-taught graphic design learning. This community service contributed to strengthening the creative capacity of students to produce professional and competitive visual content in the digital era.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the managerial capacity and institutional governance of TK Muslimat Khodijah 157 Rogojampi through a series of intensive training sessions. The first session focused on strengthening managerial competence and institutional governance, while the second session emphasized leadership development, problem-solving and decision-making skills, as well as the implementation of effective organizational practices. The program evaluation employed the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to comprehensively assess the quality of implementation.The evaluation results indicate that the context and input components met all criteria related to planning and the provision of relevant resources. The process component proceeded according to the training design, characterized by active participation, interactive facilitation methods, and a supportive learning environment. In terms of product, participants demonstrated improved understanding and skills in institutional management, administrative structuring, and the application of more orderly and professional governance practices. Overall, the program successfully contributed to strengthening institutional quality and improving the competencies of the teaching staff. Moving forward, sustained mentoring and periodic monitoring are recommended to ensure the long-term implementation and integration of these improvements within the school environment.

Abstract

Community service activities represent one of the implementations of the Tri Dharma of higher education, aimed at providing tangible contributions to society. This program was conducted in Bumi Nabung Ilir Village, focusing on improving educational literacy, financial literacy, digital literacy, and social awareness within the community. The program was motivated by several issues, including low literacy and numeracy skills among elementary students, limited understanding of financial literacy from an early age, insufficient awareness among adolescents in using digital media wisely, and a lack of reproductive health education for young women. Additionally, village development was supported through the construction of a hamlet monument as a regional identity. The activities were carried out using a participatory approach, including field observations, socialization, counseling, tutoring, practical activities, and the development of village facilities. The target groups included elementary and junior high school students, village youth, and the local community. The results indicate that the program had a positive impact, such as improved literacy and numeracy skills, increased awareness of saving from an early age, better understanding of responsible digital media use among adolescents, and enhanced knowledge of reproductive health among young women. The construction of the hamlet monument also strengthened regional identity and encouraged community participation in village development. Overall, this program demonstrates that collaboration between university students, educational institutions, and the community can effectively enhance educational quality and social awareness.

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious public health issue in Indonesia, particularly in rural areas. This community service program aimed to establish a Partner Village by empowering and training Posyandu cadres, using TikTok as a platform to promote a local food innovation called NIKCAMBID (fish nuggets mixed with durian seed flour). The activity was conducted in Sei Naga Lawan Village, Serdang Bedagai Regency, using a participatory action research approach. Main activities included training in the production of nutritious food products, education on nutritional content, and digital promotion via TikTok. Evaluation results showed a significant increase in cadre knowledge and attitude (p<0.05), with an average knowledge score increase of 34.67 and attitude increase of 22.00. This activity contributes to public awareness of stunting prevention through the use of local food and digital media.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve santri at RSCAS Makassar's understanding and skills in developing product packaging through the use of digital design applications. The initial problem identified was the use of packaging that was still simple and not optimal in presenting visual branding. The activity was implemented using a participatory learning and experiential learning approach involving 10 participants through the stages of preparation, training, and evaluation. The training focused on understanding the strategic role of packaging in marketing, the development of visual identity, and hands-on practice using the Canva application. The results showed an improvement in participants’ conceptual understanding of packaging design, which enhances participants’ digital literacy, creativity, and independence in developing packaging designs. Overall, this activity contributes to strengthening visual branding and improving the competitiveness of santri entrepreneurial products

Abstract

Community service is an activity organized by the campus to implement the knowledge acquired by students, especially the knowledge acquired during their studies at the campus. In this context, this positive activity aims to directly educate students to engage with the community and develop Islamic moral values in the area. Nagori Kebun Sayur Village, Sidamanik District, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra, has a population of 1,148. The program implemented was to implement Islamic character through teaching and competitions on the Qur'an and Adhan as a strategic effort to build a young generation with noble character and based on Islamic values. This community service activity was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method with the aim of illustrating and describing the implementation of Islamic character through Islamic teaching and competitions held over a period of 14 days, with children as the main focus of this program. They were taught how to read the Qur'an properly and correctly and were guided using the talaqqi method (reading in front of the teacher and then being corrected) and the tikrar method (repeating the reading together), while the teaching of the adhan was carried out using the direct practice method.

Abstract

Community service activities through international volunteer programs are one form of contextual learning that involves cross-cultural interaction. This article aims to describe cross-cultural communication practices in community service activities conducted at Project Wings Sumatra. The method used was a qualitative descriptive approach through direct observation, active participation, and documentation during the Field Work Practice (PKL) activities. The results indicate that interactions between local and international volunteers not only enhance English language communication skills but also foster an understanding of cultural differences, communication patterns, and social values. Furthermore, environmental education, waste management, and organic farming activities serve as effective platforms for strengthening cross-cultural communication in practical settings. These findings suggest that international volunteer-based service programs make a significant contribution to the development of students’ communication competencies and global awareness.

Abstract

Pengembangan profesi dosen merupakan aspek krusial dalam menjaga mutu pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi dosen adalah pemenuhan angka kredit sebagai syarat kenaikan jabatan fungsional. Workshop kolaboratif hadir sebagai solusi strategis yang mempertemukan dosen dari berbagai program studi untuk saling berbagi pengetahuan, pengalaman, dan praktik terbaik dalam mendukung kinerja akademik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dosen melalui serangkaian workshop kolaboratif yang dirancang secara sistematis, mencakup penulisan artikel ilmiah, pembuatan bahan ajar, pengembangan penelitian, serta pengelolaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan intensif berbasis praktik, pendampingan individual oleh fasilitator, serta sesi diskusi kelompok yang interaktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai prosedur pengajuan angka kredit dan pengisian Beban Kinerja Dosen (BKD). Selain itu, peserta juga mendapatkan wawasan praktis terkait tip dan trik dalam menyusun serta melengkapi dokumen pendukung. Secara kualitatif, kegiatan ini meningkatkan kesiapan dan kepercayaan diri dosen dalam mengelola administrasi kinerja akademik. Dengan demikian, workshop kolaboratif menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam mendukung peningkatan kapasitas dosen secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

His community service activity aims to enhance the use of digital technology in the learning process through the socialization of Canva application as a learning medium and a tool for developing students' creativity at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Terpadu Pekanbaru. The background of this activity is based on the low level of students’ understanding and utilization of Canva as an innovative and interactive learning medium.The results showed an increase in students’ understanding by 45%, creativity by 43%, and learning motivation by 40%. Therefore, Canva is effective in supporting innovative and interactive learning.The expected outcomes of this activity are an increase in students’ knowledge and skills in using Canva as a learning medium, along with the growth of students’ creativity in presenting learning materials in an engaging and interactive way. Therefore, this activity is expected to support the creation of a more effective, innovative, and meaningful learning process in the digital era.
