Abstract

The results will be used as a basis for reflection when creating the most recent education management policies, which will support efforts to preserve education through high-quality management of education. In accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Education Commission of the Indonesian Bishops' Conference, four benchmark standards from 13 Catholic education standards and benchmarks and four assessment dimensions are taken into consideration when determining the vision and mission dimensions. This kind of study is known as explanatory study. With a research population of 77 school units, data was gathered using a qualitative and quantitative approach. Five respondents from each of the school representatives made up the total of 385 respondents, which included principals, teachers, and staff members as well as eight supporting respondents who were parish priests, student parents, alumni, and alumni parents, as well as education observers. The study's findings showed that the benchmark standards' influence on raising school quality in the vision and mission domains of education management was 2.29, or in the good category (B). This indicates that the people who designed and implemented school instruction paid close attention to the original idea of using Catholic schools to spread Christian principles across the church. The school has done a good job of preserving its identity as a Christian school. To achieve the goal of becoming a top-notch institution, however, changes must be made to maximize this initial orientation.

Abstract

The instructional media used in online learning for reading folklore lacks variety. Additionally, folklore derived from the cultural wisdom of the surrounding area has not been utilized in teaching folklore reading and remains unknown to learners. In response to these issues, learners require more diverse instructional media that can incorporate folklore from Toyomarto Village. This research aims to develop instructional media based on the wisdom of Toyomarto Village for teaching folklore reading in terms of content appropriateness, language, and presentation systematics. This development research employs the ADDIE model. The results of this research, including validation tests for content appropriateness, language, presentation systematics, practitioner evaluation, and small- and large-scale trials, all received a 'very good' category. The final percentage for each test was 96.88%, 92.86%, 100%, 98.39%, and 88.12%, as well as 85.12%. Based on the validation and product testing results, Yuk Bariya comic is deemed suitable for teaching folklore reading.

The research subjects were chemistry education students of class 2020 FKIP UNTAN, totaling twenty-four participants. The instruments used were teaching module assessment sheets and student PCK observation sheets. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The results showed that the PCK ability of chemical education students in making teaching modules was in the good category, with an average value of content knowledge (CK) ability of 79% (good), pedagogical knowledge (PK) ability of 72% (good), and pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) ability of 78% (good). There were three research objectives focused in this study: (1) the influence of local culture-based pictorial narrative texts on students' reading comprehension; (2) the correlation between students' perceptions of integrating local culture into the development of reading materials and students' reading comprehension; and (3) the difference of problems faced by students in understanding pictorial narrative texts in terms of purpose of the story, characters in the story, orientation, complications, and resolution of the story. The results showed that local culture-based pictorial narratives had a significant effect on students' reading comprehension, and were positively correlated to each other. In addition, students do not have discrepancy in terms of problems encountered when understanding the narratives such as the purpose of the story, characters in the story, orientation, complication, and resolution of the story.
