Abstract

This research and development aim to produce communication, information and education media products for safe, comfortable and healthy bicycle movements. The research and development approach for educational media posters and leaflets adapts the stages of research and development by Borg and Gall which outlines 4 stages, namely: (1) preliminary study; (2) planning and development; (3) validation, evaluation and revision; (4) implementation. This research and development was carried out in Malang city and Solo city using the target target bicycle community. Data analysis techniques used in research and development use qualitative and quantitative approaches. Qualitative data is obtained from the results of open questions. Quantitative data is obtained through the results of filling out questionnaires conducted in expert validation tests, small group trials and large group trials. The results of the validation test conducted by material experts and media experts obtained a percentage of 86% and 83.13% respectively. The results of the small group trial obtained a percentage value of 89.19%, while in the large group trial obtained a percentage value of 89.30%. All the results of testing the product both at the validity and practicality test stages have very good criteria. It is hoped that this media will become an instrument that can increase knowledge and change the behavior of communities or individuals by implementing cycling behavior properly and correctly.

Abstract

The objective of developing a smartphone product in the form of the Edu-Touch application for sepak takraw learning materials as teaching material is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process, research, and development method (research & development) this uses the 4D model and approach put forward by Thiagarajan, which consists of 4 levels: analysis, design, development, implementation. The respondents used in this research were all 6 PJOK teachers and 80 students from two schools, namely SMPN 1 Paciran and SMPN 1 Brondong. The instrument used in this research used a questionnaire which was prepared to test validity and reliability. The percentage of experts is 96% learning experts, 88% by material experts, and 80% media experts, so the development product is valid/fit for use. In the effectiveness test in small groups and large groups, the values obtained were 81.25% and 79.78%, so the effectiveness of the development product was classified as good. The results of the analysis of small group and field group test data were 81.25% and 80.10%, in this case, the development product was included in the very feasible category. So in this research the conclusion is drawn that the application is very suitable for the use of edu-touch for smartphone-based sepak takraw material for junior secondary education unit level.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has had a significant impact on the world of education, including in the process of physical education learning. Learning, which was previously only done conventionally, has now shifted towards digitization and the use of application-based technology. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of mobile application-based blended learning in improving students' cognitive and affective competencies in physical education. The method used is a quasi-experiment with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The research subjects consisted of 60 high school students divided into two groups, namely the experimental group (n=30) who used mobile application-based blended learning and the control group (n=30) who used conventional learning. The results showed that the experimental group experienced an increase in cognitive scores from 56.4 to 82.7 and affective scores from 60.1 to 85.3. Meanwhile, the control group experienced an increase in cognitive scores from 55.8 to 69.4 and affective scores from 59.7 to 70.2. The t-test results showed a significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.05). This study concluded that mobile application-based blended learning is effective in improving students' cognitive and affective competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and cardiovascular fitness levels among students at SMP IT Darul Wahdah Gerung in 2025. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational design. Data collection techniques were carried out by measuring body weight and height to determine BMI values, as well as the 12-minute Cooper test to measure students' cardiovascular fitness levels. Data analysis used Pearson's correlation test. The results showed that: 1) There was a significant relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and the cardiovascular fitness level of students, as evidenced by a correlation coefficient of -0.689 and a significance value of 0.005 (p < 0.05), so H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. 2) The negative correlation coefficient value indicates a significant negative relationship, which means that the higher the students' BMI, the lower their cardiovascular fitness level, and vice versa.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the outdoor activity learning model on elementary school students’ learning motivation in terms of responsibility and cooperation. This research employed an experimental method with a 2×2 factorial design. The sample consisted of 48 elementary school students selected using stratified purposive sampling. Research instruments included questionnaires on learning motivation, responsibility, and cooperation, which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results indicated significant differences in learning motivation between students with high and low levels of responsibility, as well as between students with high and low levels of cooperation. Furthermore, there were interaction effects between the outdoor activity learning model, responsibility, and cooperation on students’ learning motivation. It can be concluded that the outdoor activity learning model is effective in enhancing PJOK learning motivation while fostering responsibility and cooperation among elementary school students.

Abstract

Sports injuries are common and have significant physical and psychological impacts on athletes. Adequate knowledge of injury management is considered a key factor in prevention. This study aimed to analyze the influence of injury management knowledge level on injury incidence among student athletes. This observational study with a cross-sectional design involved 108 student athletes from the Physical Education Study Program, UNDIKMA, selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using an injury management knowledge questionnaire (25 items, Guttman scale) and injury history. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, Chi-Square test, t-test, and multivariable logistic regression. The results showed that 90.7% of respondents had experienced an injury (mostly mild). The average injury management knowledge score was 19.2 ± 2.8 (out of 25). Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between education history (p=0.048) and knowledge score (p=0.002) with injury incidence. The final logistic regression model revealed that a history of receiving injury management education (OR=3.330; 95% CI: 1.026-10.803) and a higher knowledge score (OR=0.750; 95% CI: 0.610-0.922) were significant protective factors against injury incidence. It is concluded that a higher level of injury management knowledge and education history are independently associated with a decrease in injury incidence among student athletes. Therefore, improving the quality and access to comprehensive injury management education programs is highly recommended.
