Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of parents in developing children's reading habits to improve their academic performance. This study aims to determine the role, influence and strategies of parents on children's learning development and forming reading habits. This study uses a qualitative method with an interpretive paradigm in learning and readingData were collected through semi-structured interviews with parents and documentation. Then the data were analyzed and transcribed thematically. The results showed that parental involvement in reading activities was positively related to children's academic success. This study also highlighted the influence of parenting styles on children's learning motivation. The results of this study emphasize the importance of comprehensive interventions that target parenting practices and children's learning environments to optimize educational outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted to overcome the problem regarding the use of learning media which is still insufficiently varied in increasing knowledge of diversity in early childhood. The importance of introducing cultural diversity from an early age to foster the character of respecting differences in children. The aim of the research is to determine the suitability of the media and determine the effectiveness of the East Java cultural diversity pop-up book media to increase knowledge of diversity in early childhood. This research uses a type of research and development with the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation). Based on the tests that have been carried out, the results obtained are: 1) The media expert validation results obtained a score of 92.1% and the material expert validation results obtained a score of 95%, which means that the pop-up book media is included in the valid category and is very suitable for use. 2) The results of the effectiveness test, the Wilcoxon test using SPSS 25 obtained results 0.001 so that the results of significance were smaller than 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. There is a difference between the average pretest and posttest which has an increase. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the pop-up book media on East Java's cultural diversity was effectively used to increase knowledge of diversity in early childhood.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the application of problem solving learning on mathematical problem solving abilities based on polya theory, and to determine the magnitude of the influence of the application of problem solving learning on mathematical problem solving abilities based on polya theory of class XI students at SMAN 1 Kalidawir. This research uses a quantitative approach with quasi experimental design (post-test only). The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were observation, tests and documentation. The research results showed that the average posttest score for problem solving ability in the experimental class was 70.94 and in the control class 51.47. The results of the t-independent sample test show that the Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000 0.05, so H_α is accepted and H_0 is rejected. Based on the research results, it is also known that the value of t_0 or t_count = -4.714 with db or df = 59. The effect size value or the proportion of variance obtained is classified as a large effect. So it can be concluded, there is an influence of the application of the problem solving learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities based on POLYA theory and the large influence of the application of the problem solving learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities based on POLYA theory of class XI students at SMAN 1 Kalidawir Tulungagung is classified as a large effect.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of Duolingo's app on students' language ability in learning English. This research aims to 1) the ease of use duolingo application, 2) The benefits we get from the features provided by the Duolingo application, 3) Identify what improvements are visible in English competence. This research is a qualitative study to identify the impact of Duolingo application on student’s English competence. Participants were two high school students and two college students who currently use Duolingo regularly. The researchers conducted structured interviews to obtain rich details about their experiences. The findings suggested that Duolingo's usability, engaging features and systematic lessons has significantly contributed to their language learning ability, especially in terms of pronunciation, vocabulary and their confidence in using English. This research also emphasized the educational value of such an innovation in a digital era.

Then the organization teaches learning activities, namely Worship, especially prayer, ablution, reciting the Koran and practicing it in an Islamic way to teach morals to children. Based on this description, this study aims to determine the application of Islamic religious education in early childhood in shaping children's character. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, where this study discusses policies, concepts and theories.               Methods and information from the results of data collection related to the concept of Islamic religious education (PAI) learning. Establishing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in early childhood is one way to teach Islamic religious values to children. Instilling Islamic religious values from an early age means instilling good character in children. In TK IT Al-Hikmah as an integrated Islamic institution, there are many activities that serve as references to support Islamic Religious Education learning in the institution, such as the Iqro class where children are specifically guided to be able to recite the Koran, memorize short verses or even Juz 30, hadiths, daily prayers, and prayer practices which are carried out routinely every day.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah di dalam artikel ini adalah perlunya menganalisis strategi pengembangan profesionalisme guru sekolah dasar melalui komunitas belajar. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk pengembangan profesionalisme guru di sekolah dasar melalui komunitas belajar. Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan wawancara kepada beberapa guru. Prosedur penelitian melibatkan wawancara terstruktur dengan guru terkait pengembangan profesionalisme, serta pengumpulan dan analisis data. Hasil dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan profesionalisme guru melalui komunitas belajar, Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi kurangnya pelatihan, dan pembelajaran metode yang baru. Sebagai saran, diperlukan dukungan dan kerjasama antara pihak sekolah, pemerintah, dan pemangku kepentingan untuk memastikan pemanfaatan komunitas belajar yang sudah terbentuk baik pada sekolah maupun tingkat kecamatan agar berfungsinya komunitas belajar dan dapat meningkatkan profesionalisme guru khususnya pada tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media pembelajaran Bambu Statistika (BATIK) dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep statistika pada siswa. Berdasarkan observasi, banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep statistika, yang ditunjukkan oleh rendahnya hasil belajar dan minat siswa terhadap mata pelajaran ini. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dikembangkan media pembelajaran BATIK, yang merupakan alat bantu berbasis visual dan interaktif dengan bahan dasar bambu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes pemahaman konsep, serta kuesioner motivasi belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji statistik untuk mengukur perubahan signifikan dalam motivasi dan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah menggunakan media BATIK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media BATIK berkontribusi secara positif dalam meningkatkan motivasi siswa serta mempermudah pemahaman konsep-konsep dalam statistika. Media ini memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik, interaktif, dan kontekstual, sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif dalam inovasi pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan Papan Bilangan Berpangkat (PLAKAT) sebagai media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep eksponen. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kesulitan siswa dalam memahami operasi eksponen yang bersifat abstrak dan minimnya penggunaan alat peraga dalam pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen. Siswa dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan PLAKAT dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test serta observasi selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan PLAKAT secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep eksponen dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa PLAKAT merupakan alat bantu yang efektif dalam memperjelas konsep eksponen serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.
