Abstract

Marketing of fishery products must be carried out efficiently so that fishermen and consumers are not harmed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the marketing system, margin value, fisherman's share for skipjack, tuna and tuna in TPI Kuala Idi. Determination of respondents using purposive sampling method. The results of the study were obtained for Cakalang fish, the total marketing margin on marketing channel II was greater, namely Rp. 5,800 and channel I obtained the highest Df, namely 89%. For Tuna, the total marketing margin in marketing channel II is greater, namely Rp. 6,400 and channel I obtains the highest Df, namely 86%. For tuna, the total marketing margin on marketing channel II was greater, namely IDR 5,800 and channel I obtained the highest Df, namely 87%. From the results of Fisherman's Share calculations, the three marketing channels above the percentage share received by fishermen from TPI is 89% and is the largest percentage of other marketing calculations. It can be concluded that the marketing agency TPI Kuala Idi, East Aceh District plays an important role in the share of the results received by fishermen.

Abstract

Captive breeding of seahorses (Hippocampus barbouri) which is a follow-up of their activities in the exploitation of natural large - scale does not escape from the problems of the disease. Gills and kidneys are the main target of the inspection. Wet mount is one way of checking the disease. This study aims to look at other forms of bacteria isolated from the gills and kidney seahorse (H. barbouri) morphologically. Media used are media Zobell Marine Agar (ZMA) and Thiosulphate Citrate Bile Salts Sucrose Agar (TCBSA) then be isolated bacteria with a pillowcase technique spread to see koloi dominant bacteria. more dominant bacteria grow dimurinikan back with scratch method (streak). The result of five isolates (isolates A, B, C, D and E) were predominantly found growing on media ZMA, two isolates (isolates B and C) not found growing on media TCBSA. Overall bacteria in media and TCBSA ZMA has the form round colonies and smooth-edged. TCBSA media can not be found on the bacterial colonies that fluoresce.

Abstract

Meatballs are one of the processed food products made from meat and have a fairly high composition of protein, minerals, and vitamins. Red spinach (Amaranthus Tricolor) is one of the vegetables that is less popular among the public. Red spinach contains high antioxidants. This study aims to determine the amount and effect of adding red spinach leaf extract on the quality of chicken meatballs produced. The experimental design used in this study was a complete randomized design (RAL) with a red spinach extract concentration factor consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely A = 0%, B = 10%, C = 30%, D = 50%. Each treatment was carried out 5 times so that 20 experimental units were obtained. The results showed that the addition of red spinach leaf extract with different concentrations of 0%, 10%, 20%, and 50% had a significant effect on the color, taste, aroma, and texture of the resulting chicken meatballs. The best treatment obtained is treatment B where the concentration of adding spinach leaf extract as much as 10% to chicken meatballs according to sensory analysis

Abstract

This study aims to examine the toxicity of phenoxy acid herbicides on vannamei shrimp mortality, by conducting preliminary tests, persistence tests, mortality tests, and water quality. The research design used the regression method and probit analysis with 6 treatments and 3 replications, namely A herbicide concentration of 0 ml/L, B herbicide concentration DMA-6, 0.025 ml/L water, C herbicide concentration DMA-6, 0.005 ml/L water, D DMA-6 herbicide concentration, 0.075 ml/L water, E DMA-6 herbicide concentration, 0.1 ml/L water and F DMA-6 herbicide concentration, 0.125 ml/L water. Pesticides do not affect temperature changes, dissolved oxygen (DO), Salinity, and pH. Clinical symptoms due to Pesticide exposure to vanamei shrimp are irregular movements, shells peeling off, and swimming close to aeration until they die. The LC50 value in the herbicide toxicity test was 0.124 mg/l at 24 hours, 0.099 mg/l at 48 hours, 0.073 mg/l at 72 hours, and 0.026 mg/l at 96 hours.

Abstract

Koi fish is a type of ornamental fish whose color and unique body shape are one of the attractions of koi fish. This study aims to determine and evaluate the effect of fasting time on the growth and survival of koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) which are fasted periodically at optimum temperature. The method used in this study was the RAL experimental method (completely randomized design) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The fasting treatment used was the non-fasting treatment as (control), 1 day of fasting and 1 day of feeding, 1 day of fasting and 2 days of feeding, and 1 day of fasting and 3 days of feeding. Each treatment used seeds measuring 4-5 cm. Parameters observed were absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, daily growth rate, survival rate and feed conversion ratio. The results of the study based on the analysis of variance showed that fasting in koi fish had a significant effect (P<0.05) on absolute weight growth and daily growth rate and had no significant effect on growth in absolute length, survival raet and feed conversion ratio. The best treatment of periodic fasting is in treatment P2 = 1 day of fasting 1 day of being feed.

Abstract

The hatchery is a biosecurity system in the form of a water quality control system and aquatic environmental health. Hatchery determines the success or failure of spawning. Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen are key water quality parameters that control the distribution and distribution of organisms in the waters. This study aims to describe fluctuations in water quality, namely temperature, pH, and DO in the indoor hatchery based on different times. The design used was a RAL with 3 treatments and 4 repetitions, namely P1: observing water parameters every 1 hour (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 WIT); P2: observation of water parameters every 2 hours (6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24 WIT); and P3: observation of water parameters every 4 hours (6, 10, 14.18, 22 WIB). The results showed that in general the temperature, DO and pH values ​​in the indoor hatchery did not fluctuate significantly. However, during the observation at 14 to 16 WIB at P1 there was an increase in temperature and DO, on the contrary there was a decrease in the pH value. When DO increases, the pH appears to decrease. At P2 there was a decrease in temperature values ​​at 6 to 8 WIB, while the DO and pH values ​​were stable. Furthermore, at P3, it can be seen that the temperature, DO and pH values ​​are more stable.

Abstract

Selection of fish based on DNA markers is a method or technique that has started to develop rapidly in the field of genetics and fish breeding. Selection based on DNA markers utilizes the genetic information contained in fish DNA to obtain individuals with characteristics appropriate to the stages and production of aquaculture in a timely, efficient, and measurable manner. This literature review presents several discussions and literature sources that are quite relevant regarding various aspects of DNA marker-based fish selection, including the basic principles, analytical methods, benefits, and challenges based on DNA markers, and discusses how the most recent developments in the use of methods in the process of genetic breeding and fish selection, as well as the potential for future applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sunti acid on the ALT and mold as an antimicrobial in keumamah loin. The research is experimental and uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Treatment 1 was soaking in sunti acid suspension as much as 10% (F1), as much as 20% (F2), as much as 30% (F3), and without immersion (F0). The parameters observed were ALT and mold. The results of these two studies were analyzed using one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with Duncan's test. The results showed that the highest ALT was in F0 (7.51x105CFU/mL) and the lowest was in sample F3 (6.36x105CFU/mL), then the highest mold value was in sample F0 (7.68x105CFU/mL), and the lowest was in F3 (6.46x105CFU/mL). The difference in the concentration of sunti acid suspension had a significant effect on the ALT and mold on keumamah loin at the 95% confidence interval

Abstract

Seaweed contains minerals and active compounds that have potential antioxidant, antihypertensive and other health benefits. As a result of this potential, seaweed is now widely used in the fields of medicine, cosmetics, fertilizer, bioenergy and food. In the food industry, seaweed can be used as raw material for making salt with low sodium and high potassium content so that it is beneficial for human health. This literature review presents several discussions and relevant literature sources regarding the manufacturing process and components contained in seaweed salt, such as heavy metal content, mineral composition, Na:K, NaCl ratio, and antioxidant activity. This literature study uses an exploratory descriptive approach by collecting information from a lot of previous research literature, in the form of national and international journals as well as online databases such as Researchgate, Directory of Open Access Journals and Google Scholar.

Abstract

Milkfish is a leading commodity for Indonesian mariculture which is quite promising, so milkfish productivity must be increased. The problematic factor in cultivating milkfish is feed. Lamtoro leaves (Leucaena leucocephala) are a potential biological resource and have high protein content as a raw material for making feed. However, lamtoro has a high fiber content which can be reduced by fermenting using bio intan tani and attractants to cover the aroma of lamtoro which fish do not like. This research aims to test the effect of adding fermented lamtoro leaves to artificial feed on the growth of milkfish. The research was carried out on March 22 - April 22 2022 at Kembang Tani Farm Lancang Barat, North Aceh, Aceh. The research used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications, Treatments A, B, C and D with concentrations of 0%, 15%, 20% and 25% respectively. Based on the F test analysis (ANOVA), the results gave a significant effect on feed response, weight gain, length increase, aroma with a Sig value < 0.05 and gave results that had no real effect on survival rate and feed conversion value with a Sig value > 0. 05.
