Abstract

This research purposes to find out the context of the formation of Barisan Pemuda Indonesia (BPI) in the city of Medan and the role of the BPI  in achieving and maintaining independence. The method used in this study was library research by collecting books and documents related to the research topic as initial data, which were then analyzed. The establishment of Barisan Pemuda Indonesia (BPI) in the city of Medan did not take long because of the city's existence as a city of movement. Several important figures from this organization have contributed to the struggle since the Dutch government, including young pioneers who joined the Gyugun organization during Japanese military rule. Barisan Pemuda Indonesia (BPI) in Medan was determined to realize and defend independence and played a very important role in the Battle of Medan Area on October 13, 1945. These efforts included quoting news from foreign radio transmitters, publishing them in stenciled leaflets, and disseminating them to the public. Since then the city of Medan and its surroundings has been filled with news of the struggle for independence in Java and other struggle activities which made the people anxious to hear the news of the struggle for independence which stimulated the souls of the masses of the people to launch a revolution to realize the Proclamation of Independence on August 17, 1945 and are willing to die to defend it.

Abstract

The development of education in Indonesia cannot be separated from the role of Ki Hajar Dewantara, who is the father of education in Indonesia. At the present time, his thinking is based on the independent learning curriculum concept. Therefore, through this article, the author aims to describe the Thoughts of Ki Hajar Dewantara on Education in Indonesia. This paper is a literature review using a historical approach. The primary data sources that will be used include works written by Ki Hajar Dewantara that have been written by other people. In the process of analyzing the data that has been collected, the author uses content analysis. The results of his research are: 1) Ki Hajar Dewantara’s conception of education includes the concept of Tut Wuri Handayani; 2) Ki Hajar Dewantara’s thoughts on education in Indonesia 3) Renewal of Ki Hajar Dewantara’s thoughts on education in Indonesia Education is one of the most important things to do, both in Indonesia and abroad. The purpose of education itself is to make a person have a good personality and broad insight. In general, education refers to the learning, knowledge, and skills possessed by a person. However, some experts have their own education, including Ki Hajar Dewantara. Thanks to his work in the field of education, Ki Hajar Dewantara is called the father of education in Indonesia. First, Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo must set an example in front. From this, we can conclude that the behavior of students can be influenced by their teachers; therefore, teachers must always reflect on whether they really set a good example by giving knowledge to their students or only provide knowledge without teaching good morals as well. Second, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso (must give an idea in the middle). This motto prevents teachers from considering students as lower beings than their teachers. Under this motto, we can know that as teachers, we must be friends who can hug their students. Third, Tut Wuri Handayani (behind the back must be able to provide encouragement) means that teachers must always provide positive encouragement to all students. Therefore, teachers are expected to be able to motivate their students to realize their dreams. The teacher’s task is to help students develop, find, and search for the talents that exist in them.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe the effectiveness of school committees in improving the performance of Perumnas Peunyareng State Elementary School, Meureubo District, West Aceh District. Researchers used qualitative research to describe the effectiveness of school committees. Research informants are school committee chairs, school principals, committee members and teachers, and school supervisors. Data was collected through interview techniques, document study, and observation. Data analysis techniques include processes: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data is done by testing the credibility of the data. The results of the study found that the effectiveness of the school committee in improving the performance of Perumnas Peunyareng Elementary School, Meureubo District, West Aceh Regency. The effectiveness of effective school committees includes coordinating, providing advice and corrections, accommodating and conveying aspirations, conducting supervision, checking school development from allocated funds, providing financial support, providing energy and thought support, conducting negotiations, and conveying information to the community. The effectiveness of the school committee has not been maximized in contributing to quality improvement in the field of school facilities and infrastructure, strengthening the leadership of the school principal (school management), and school finances. However, the achievement of school facilities and infrastructure has not been sufficient enough to meet school needs. There are many other components that influence besides the school committee, so that the acquisition of B accreditation can be caused by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The problem in this study is how is PjBL-based class management towards strengthening the profile of Pancasila students in Elementary Schools in West Aceh District. The method used in this research is descriptive method by using interviews, observation and documentation as data collection techniques. Interviews were conducted with school principals, school supervisors, school committees and class teachers implementing the PjBL program. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL)-based classroom management towards strengthening the profile of Pancasila students at Perumnas Peunyareng Elementary School, West Aceh Regency is one of the demands in the 2022 Merdeka Curriculum which was launched providing an opportunity to implement PjBL. However, not all teachers understand the learning model properly. There are six syntaxes, namely: opening lessons by asking questions, planning projects, compiling activity schedules, overseeing project progress, evaluating the products produced, evaluating. This learning model can encourage students to be more able to collaborate, work together, and empathize with others. For this reason, workshops are needed for teachers to be able to gain proper understanding and be able to apply them in learning at school.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology and information, it plays an important role in all aspects, one example is in the field of archives. Developments in technology and information in the field of archiving can be seen from changes in archive storage from conventional storage to digital storage. Changes in storage media require agencies to preserve archives using digital media. With the digitization of photo archives, it is also necessary to insert a digital watermark as a sign of ownership of the photo archive. This study uses the Gap Analysis method and the resulting product is a watermark on digital photo archives. The works in the form of watermarks on each photo archive are made using software, namely Adobe Photoshop. The watermark will be inserted into several photo archives in the photo archives of the Blora Regency Library and Archives Service. Advances in technology have resulted in records and documents made on paper being transferred into electronic media or created directly in electronic media. Thus electronic records management is a very appropriate choice in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of government agencies. The purpose of this study is to find out the benefits or advantages of archive authentication including the procedures for authenticating archives by considering various aspects of decency.

Abstract

The title of this research is the implementation of local wisdom-based school culture as character strengthening at Perumnas Peunyareng Elementary School, West Aceh District. The research problem is how to implement local wisdom-based school culture as a character booster at Perumnas Peunyareng Elementary School, West Aceh District. The research method used is a qualitative method. Collecting data using interview techniques, observation and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of local wisdom-based school culture as character strengthening in elementary schools in West Aceh District is carried out through the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of the implementation of local wisdom-based school culture. Then the implementation of local wisdom-based school culture at the Perumnas Peunyareng Elementary School in West Aceh Regency was carried out in three forms, namely through the academic process, the second was the socio-cultural process and the third was through the democratic process. Through the forms of implementation that are carried out, it can strengthen the character of students, for example the embedded character of discipline, honesty, cooperation, mutual help, religious, responsibility, caring attitude and so on. The implementation of local wisdom-based school culture is still experiencing obstacles including the limited number of teachers who are professional in regional dances, limited support facilities and limited time available

Abstract

This reasearch is a culttural history study that discusses the Kemendapoan government system in the Semurup customary area in 1979-2020. The purpose of this study is to find out the backround of the establishment of the traditional Kemendapoan government system in the Semurup customary area in 1979-2020 and how the concept and function of Kemendapoan change in Semurup in 1979-2020. The study uses the historical method which consist of four steps, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and hostoriography. The result  of this study after being issued UU No. 5 Tahun 1979 about village government, the Kemendapoan was abolished and residance with village government but the functions and concept are still used in Semurup, known as the Semurup customary government. In this government, traditional leaders still play an important role in the order of people’s lives. The background for the  establishment of the Kemendapoan was to regulate customary territories led by the Depati, this customary territory consists of several hamlets that originate from the same  ancestor. The Kemendapoan government has existed since the 17M, then passed on by the Netherlands during the colonial period. Kemendapoan formed a government based on a customary system so that the Depati not rebel against the Netherlands.

Abstract

This study discusses the traditional traditions carried out in the Karo tribal wedding ceremony in the Karo district. This study aims to find out how the arrangement of the Karo wedding ceremony has a lot of rules and rituals that must be carried out. In this study, using a descriptive method, the approach used is qualitative. Data was collected through literature studies, observations, books, and articles. The view of the Karo people regarding marriage customs is a very important question because, through marriage, love can be achieved and continuity of family lineage can be maintained. Apart from that, they will also have rights in all matters related to traditional rituals, and marriage will also bind two parties, namely the male family and the female family. Karo marriage has many rules, originating from the clan. All the rules for the wedding ceremony In the life of every tribal community, wherever there is always an order of social life that is respected and obeyed by the community group, members who disobey will be punished according to existing customs, one of which is marriage. Marriage is an important matter because the Karo tribe has orders or rules that must be followed according to Karo customary law, which is still adhered to today. Based on the explanation above, there are many traditional rituals of the Karo people that cannot be abandoned. And it can't be done haphazardly. The Karo people believe that marriage is very important because it is a bond between two parties, namely kalimbubu, anak beru, and others.

Abstract

This study discusses the management of electronic photo archives with the aim of knowing the efforts and efforts made by the Archives and Libraries Office of Pati Regency in maintaining the authenticity of their digitized archives. This research also specifically aims to understand the steps needed in managing electronic photo archives, including the process of digitizing, authenticating, and managing textual archives which consist of managing textually active dynamic archives and textually inactive dynamic archives. The research method used in this research is thematic analysis. Thematic analysis is a method used to produce themes that answer the phenomena studied and show the interrelationships between these themes. The results of this study indicate the steps in compiling electronic photo archives, which include the creation of archives through the digitization process, authentication of digitized archives, and management of textual archives which are divided into management of textually active dynamic archives and textually inactive dynamic archives. The results of the study also show that electronic photo archiving has several advantages, such as better time efficiency and does not take much time compared to physical photo archiving. The contribution of this research is to provide understanding and insight into the management of electronic photo archives at the Archives and Libraries Office of Pati Regency. The results of this study can serve as a guideline for these agencies in maintaining the authenticity of digitized archives and implementing efficient steps in managing electronic photo archives. In addition, this research also provides an understanding of the advantages and benefits of electronic photo archiving compared to physical archiving, which can encourage the adoption of digital technology in record management.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of the independent curriculum e-report card application for class X at SMK Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya. After that, it describes the assessment of the use of the e-Report card application at SMK Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya. This was motivated by changes in the processing of student values which were initially done manually and then changed to a value processing application in the form of e-Reports. The transition from manual grade processing to the e-Report card application, especially at SMK Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya which was selected as one of the schools that uses the e-Report card application for value processing. Changes in processing from manual to e-Reports can be seen from four aspects, namely teacher understanding, planning, process, and assessment of the use of the independent curriculum e-Reports application for class X at SMK Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya. This research method is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the e-Raport application provides many conveniences for educators to process student grades. The implementation of the Class X Independent Curriculum e-Raport Application at SMK Negeri 1 Pulau Punjung Dharmasraya was attended by all teachers teaching in Class X, consisting of subject teachers, homeroom teachers, and vocational subject teachers. At the stage of the teacher's value input process, the steps are in accordance with the e-Raport guidelines. Assessment of the use of the e-Raport Application is intended to minimise difficulties; if not evaluated, it will complicate performance. So the main goal is to find out what the obstacles are to inputting values using e-Reports. Basically, the e-Raport is here to help teacher performance in the assessment aspect and make it more efficient. So because e-Reports have provided many conveniences, there are not many problems.
