Abstract

The implementation of Social Welfare Service Standards (SPM) is a very important policy tool to ensure that the basic rights of Social Welfare Service Recipients (PPKS) are fulfilled. However, in practice, the implementation of these standards still faces many problems, especially those related to human resources. The purpose of this study is to analyse the imbalance of competencies and challenges that exist in human resources when implementing Social Welfare Service Standards in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.The approach used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive evaluative method, which applies the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis using purposive sampling techniques from key informants directly involved in the implementation of social welfare services. The results of this study indicate a significant difference between the competency standards set in the regulations and the actual capabilities of human resources in the field. Several contributing factors are the limited number of professionals, lack of specialisation, minimal continuing training, and an unbalanced distribution of workloads, resulting in high workloads and overlapping tasks. As a result, the services provided tend to be administrative and reactive in nature, which means that the social rehabilitation objectives in the areas of social function recovery and independence of service recipients have not been optimally achieved. Therefore, improving competencies through systematic training, regulating workloads based on needs analysis, and developing a professional human resource management system are important for improving the quality and effectiveness of social welfare services.

Abstract

Adolescents experiencing father absence (fatherless) are vulnerable to difficulties in managing emotions and have a higher risk of mental health disorders, such as anxiety and depression, due to the loss of a significant figure in the emotional learning process. Mindfulness refers to non-judgmental awareness of present-moment experiences that serves as a protective factor in helping individuals manage emotions adaptively. This study aims to examine the effect of mindfulness on emotion regulation among fatherless adolescents. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was applied to 100 fatherless adolescents aged 15–18 years selected through purposive sampling technique with the criteria of not living with their biological father for at least the past three years. Data were collected using the Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS) and the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ). Simple linear regression analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25 showed that mindfulness had a positive and significant effect on emotion regulation (p < 0.05; R² = 0.310), with an effective contribution of 31%. These findings confirm mindfulness as a protective factor that strengthens the ability of fatherless adolescents to manage emotions adaptively. The implications of this research recommend the integration of mindfulness-based interventions in school counseling services and social assistance programs, as well as encourage longitudinal research to examine the effectiveness of such interventions and explore other factors contributing to emotion regulation in this vulnerable population.

Abstract

Quarter-life crisis is increasingly being discussed as a phase of uncertainty among young adults, one of the triggers of which is a lack of career planning, causing individuals to feel unprepared to face life after higher education. This study aimed to examine the role of career planning in quarter-life crises among students.  The research method was a quantitative survey of 153 respondents, with the criterion being students aged 18–29 years who were studying or came from East Kalimantan. Data were collected using the Developmental Crisis Questionnaire (DCQ-12) scale by Petrov et al.  (2021) and Career Planning by Wang et al. (2022) for students. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression through the JASP. The results showed that career planning influenced the level of quarter-life crisis among students with a significant value (p<0.001) and a contribution of 46%. This means that the higher the level of career planning, the lower the level of quarter-life crisis among students. These findings emphasize the importance of career planning for final-year students facing uncertainty of the future after graduation and managing stress in a more adaptive manner.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of algorithm-based social media platforms has intensified evaluative social interaction among young users, potentially increasing susceptibility to social media fatigue. Individual differences in Social Comparative Orientation are assumed to shape psychological responses to the social media environment. This study aims to examine the role of dispositional Social Comparison Orientation in predicting multidimensional social media fatigue among Generation Z TikTok users. Social Comparative Orientation was measured using the adjusted Iowa-Netherlands Comparative Orientation Measure, while social media fatigue was assessed using a multidimensional scale that included cognitive, emotional, and behavioral fatigue. The data was analyzed using covarians-based Structural Equation Modeling. The findings showed that ability-based comparisons significantly predicted cognitive, emotional, and behavioral fatigue, while opinion-based comparisons showed no significant association. The structural model describes the proportion of small to moderate variance in the fatigue dimension. These findings highlight the comparative tendency of disposition as an intrapersonal vulnerability factor in social media fatigue in an algorithm-mediated social media environment.

Abstract

Attention to the psychological well-being and academic achievement of high school students is increasing as the academic and emotional demands faced by students are high. Emotion regulation is seen as a key factor that affects learning adaptation, cognitive function, and academic achievement, so mindfulness emerges as a promising intervention in educational contexts. This study aims to systematically analyze the impact of mindfulness interventions on the regulation of emotions and academic achievement of high school students through a meta-analysis approach. The research method uses meta-analysis of experimental and quasi-experimental studies published in the 2010–2023 period, with the article selection process following the stages of identification, screening, and eligibility until 30 articles that meet the inclusion and methodological quality criteria are obtained. The results of the study showed that mindfulness interventions had a consistent positive effect on improving students' emotional regulation and improving academic achievement, both directly and through mediation mechanisms such as academic self-efficacy, academic buoyancy, mind-wandering reduction, and self-regulation. The findings also suggest that interventions implemented in a structured, sustainable manner, and supported by trained facilitators tend to produce stronger effects. The implications of this study confirm that the integration of evidence-based mindfulness interventions into the school environment has the potential to support the holistic development of students' emotional well-being and academic achievement, as well as the basis for the formulation of educational policies and practices that are more responsive to students' psychological needs.Perhatian terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis dan prestasi akademik siswa sekolah menengah atas semakin meningkat seiring dengan tingginya tuntutan akademik dan emosional yang mereka hadapi. Regulasi emosi dipandang sebagai faktor kunci yang memengaruhi adaptasi belajar, fungsi kognitif, dan pencapaian akademik, sehingga mindfulness muncul sebagai intervensi yang menjanjikan dalam konteks pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara sistematis dampak intervensi mindfulness terhadap regulasi emosi dan prestasi akademik siswa melalui pendekatan meta-analisis terhadap studi eksperimental dan kuasi-eksperimental yang dipublikasikan pada periode 2010–2023. Proses seleksi artikel dilakukan melalui tahap identifikasi, penyaringan, dan kelayakan hingga diperoleh 30 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan kualitas metodologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi mindfulness memiliki efek positif yang konsisten dalam meningkatkan regulasi emosi dan prestasi akademik, baik secara langsung maupun melalui mekanisme mediasi seperti efikasi diri akademik, daya lenting akademik (academic buoyancy), pengurangan mind-wandering, dan regulasi diri. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa intervensi yang dilaksanakan secara terstruktur, berkelanjutan, serta didukung oleh fasilitator terlatih cenderung menghasilkan efek yang lebih kuat. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi intervensi mindfulness berbasis bukti ke dalam lingkungan sekolah berpotensi mendukung perkembangan holistik kesejahteraan emosional dan prestasi akademik siswa, sekaligus menjadi dasar dalam perumusan kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan yang lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan psikologis siswa.

Abstract

The phenomenon of toxic relationships in Indonesia indicates the existence of unhealthy relationship patterns that cause prolonged psychological stress. This study aims to examine the relationship between toxic relationships and suicide ideation in young adult women. This research uses a quantitative approach and employs a Pearson product-moment correlation analysis model with a sample of 251 participants. Data collection was carried out using the toxic relationship instrument and the Beck Scale for Suicide (BSS). The research results indicate a positive relationship between toxic relationships and suicide ideation; the higher the level of toxic relationships experienced by an individual, the higher the likelihood of suicidal thoughts. This research provides an understanding that the dynamics of toxic relationships can be a significant predictor of the emergence of suicidal ideation in young adult women.Fenomena toxic relationship di Indonesia menunjukan adanya pola hubungan tidak sehat yang menimbulkan tekanan psikologis yang berkepanjangan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat hubungan antara toxic relationship dengan suicide ideation pada wanita dewasa awal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan dengan metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan model analisis korelasi product moment dengan 251 sampel. Pengumpulan data dilakukan memakai instrumen toxic relationship dan Beck Scale for Suicide (BSS). Hasil penelitian menyatakan terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara toxic relationship terhadap suicide ideation, semakin tinggi tingkat toxic relationship yang dialami individu maka semakin tinggi kecenderungan munculnya ide bunuh diri. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman bahwa dinamika toxic relationship dapat menjadi prediktor yang signifikan terhadap munculnya ide bunuh diri pada wanita dewasa awal.

Abstract

Employee well-being is an essential factor that determines organizational stability and productivity, particularly in the manufacturing sector where work demands are relatively high. An imbalance in workload may reduce employees’ physical and psychological conditions, thereby affecting their performance. This study aims to examine the effect of workload on employee well-being at CV. X, a tile manufacturing company in Yogyakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach using the NASA-TLX workload scale and the Employee Well-Being Scale. The study involved 65 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using simple regression. The results indicate a significant negative effect of workload on employee well-being, with a regression coefficient of -0.363 (p < 0.05). The R Square value of 0.218 shows that workload contributes 21.8% to the variation in employee well-being. These findings confirm that higher perceived workload is associated with lower levels of employee well-being. The implications highlight the importance of effective workload management, equitable task distribution, and supportive organizational policies to maintain employees’ physical and psychological well-being, thus ensuring sustained productivity and operational continuity within the company.Kesejahteraan karyawan merupakan aspek penting yang menentukan stabilitas dan produktivitas perusahaan, terutama pada sektor manufaktur yang memiliki tuntutan kerja tinggi. Beban kerja yang tidak seimbang dapat menurunkan kondisi fisik maupun psikologis karyawan sehingga berdampak pada performa kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh beban kerja terhadap kesejahteraan karyawan pada CV. X, perusahaan manufaktur ubin tegel di Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan instrumen skala beban kerja (NASA-TLX) dan Employee Well-Being Scale. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 65 karyawan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh negatif yang signifikan antara beban kerja dan kesejahteraan karyawan dengan koefisien regresi sebesar -0,363 (p < 0,05). Nilai R Square sebesar 0,218 menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja memberikan kontribusi sebesar 21,8% terhadap variasi kesejahteraan karyawan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa semakin tinggi beban kerja yang dirasakan, semakin rendah tingkat kesejahteraan karyawan. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengelolaan beban kerja yang efektif, pembagian tugas yang adil, serta kebijakan organisasi yang mendukung kesejahteraan fisik dan psikologis karyawan guna menjaga produktivitas serta keberlanjutan operasional perusahaan.

Abstract

Organizational change has become an inevitable phenomenon in the public sector, driven by rapid technological advancement, administrative reform, and increasing public demands for efficient and transparent services, requiring not only structural adjustments but also strong individual readiness to ensure successful transformation. This study aims to examine individual readiness for organizational change in public sector organizations by focusing on psychological, organizational, and technological factors that influence such readiness. The research employs a systematic literature review method, analyzing peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020–2026 in English, covering psychological dimensions such as self-efficacy, intrinsic motivation, and resilience; organizational aspects including leadership, culture, and support; and technological elements such as digital competence and literacy. The findings reveal that individual readiness is shaped by the interaction between internal and external factors, where psychological aspects like self-efficacy, perception of change, intrinsic motivation, coping capacity, and adaptability play a critical role, while supportive leadership, effective communication, adaptive organizational culture, and institutional support further strengthen readiness; moreover, the growing integration of digital technologies increases the demand for technical skills, cognitive preparedness, and behavioral acceptance. The study implies that comprehensive change management strategies are essential, emphasizing the strengthening of psychological factors, enhancement of organizational support systems, and development of technological competencies through continuous training, participatory communication, and the cultivation of an adaptive organizational culture to support effective and sustainable public sector transformation.Perubahan organisasi telah menjadi fenomena yang tidak terhindarkan di sektor publik, didorong oleh pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, reformasi administrasi, serta meningkatnya tuntutan masyarakat akan layanan yang efisien dan transparan, sehingga memerlukan tidak hanya penyesuaian struktural tetapi juga kesiapan individu yang kuat untuk memastikan keberhasilan proses transformasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesiapan individu dalam menghadapi perubahan organisasi di sektor publik dengan menitikberatkan pada faktor psikologis, organisasional, dan teknologi yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic literature review dengan menganalisis artikel jurnal terindeks yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2020–2026 dalam bahasa Inggris, yang mencakup dimensi psikologis seperti self-efficacy, motivasi intrinsik, dan resiliensi; aspek organisasional seperti kepemimpinan, budaya, dan dukungan; serta elemen teknologi seperti kompetensi dan literasi digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan individu dibentuk oleh interaksi antara faktor internal dan eksternal, di mana aspek psikologis seperti self-efficacy, persepsi terhadap perubahan, motivasi intrinsik, kapasitas coping, dan kemampuan adaptasi memegang peran penting, sementara kepemimpinan yang suportif, komunikasi yang efektif, budaya organisasi yang adaptif, serta dukungan institusional semakin memperkuat kesiapan tersebut; selain itu, meningkatnya integrasi teknologi digital juga memperbesar tuntutan terhadap keterampilan teknis, kesiapan kognitif, dan penerimaan perilaku individu. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan pentingnya strategi manajemen perubahan yang komprehensif, dengan menekankan penguatan faktor psikologis, peningkatan sistem dukungan organisasi, serta pengembangan kompetensi teknologi melalui pelatihan berkelanjutan, komunikasi partisipatif, dan pembentukan budaya organisasi yang adaptif guna mendukung transformasi sektor publik yang efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The growth in the use of technology with regard to learning in post-school education has shifted focus onto the psychological mechanisms behind engagement and performance of learners. Rather than just focusing on the technology, a systematic literature review which synthesizes 40, peer-reviewed, academic writings on this subject published between 2015 and 2024 examines how new technologies impact key psychological processes. Constructivist learning theory, self-determination theory and social cognitive theory framed the thematic synthesis which led to five major psychological themes. Immersive environments provide support for embodied cognition (cognitive processing through sensory input) and promote a deeper level of conceptualization of the subject(s) studied; Artificial intelligence and learning analytics provide perception of competence and self-regulation through adaptive feedback to learners; Mobile and blended instructional models facilitate autonomy and agency for learners; Intelligent Institute systems provide systemic personalization which facilitates sustained engagement by learners; and Gamification and simulation-based environments foster intrinsic motivation and collaborative efficacy. The findings indicate that tech-enhanced learning environments function as structured psychological ecosystems which affect behavioral, cognitive and social processes, related to motivation, cognitive activation and social interaction. This literature review adds to the field of educational psychology by defining the ways in which digital environments mediate learning through the motivational and cognitive pathways.Pertumbuhan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran di pendidikan pascasekolah telah menggeser fokus ke mekanisme psikologis di balik keterlibatan dan kinerja peserta didik. Dari pada hanya berfokus pada teknologi, tinjauan literatur sistematis yang mensintesis 40 tulisan akademis yang ditinjau sejawat tentang subjek ini yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2015 dan 2024 meneliti bagaimana teknologi baru memengaruhi proses psikologis utama. Teori pembelajaran konstruktivis, teori penentuan diri, dan teori kognitif sosial menjadi kerangka sintesis tematik yang menghasilkan lima tema psikologis utama. Lingkungan imersif memberikan dukungan untuk kognisi yang terwujud (pemrosesan kognitif melalui masukan sensorik) dan mendorong tingkat konseptualisasi yang lebih dalam tentang subjek yang dipelajari; kecerdasan buatan dan analitik pembelajaran memberikan persepsi kompetensi dan pengaturan diri melalui umpan balik adaptif kepada peserta didik; model pembelajaran seluler dan campuran memfasilitasi otonomi dan agensi bagi peserta didik; sistem Institut Cerdas menyediakan personalisasi sistemik yang memfasilitasi keterlibatan berkelanjutan oleh peserta didik; dan gamifikasi dan lingkungan berbasis simulasi menumbuhkan motivasi intrinsik dan efikasi kolaboratif. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan pembelajaran yang didukung teknologi berfungsi sebagai ekosistem psikologis terstruktur yang memengaruhi proses perilaku, kognitif, dan sosial, terkait dengan motivasi, aktivasi kognitif, dan interaksi sosial. Tinjauan literatur ini menambah bidang psikologi pendidikan dengan mendefinisikan cara-cara di mana lingkungan digital memediasi pembelajaran melalui jalur motivasi dan kognitif.

Abstract

In a dynamic IT development work environment, Generation Z employees face high demands for preparedness and adaptation, which has the potential to increase work stress and have an impact on decreased performance, especially when work-life balance is not optimally met. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on employee performance, with work stress as a mediator. Participants in this study were 194 generation Z employees in IT development companies who were selected using a total sampling technique. There are three scales used in this study: the Individual Work Performance Scale (IWPQ), the Work-life Balance Scale, and the Job Stress Scale (JSS). Data analysis used Hayes' mediated regression analysis model 4 in the SPSS application. The results of the study indicate that work stress partially mediates the influence between work-life balance and employee performance. The results of the analysis indicate that work-life balance has a significant effect on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through work stress. This means that work stress has been proven to play a partial mediation role between work-life balance and employee performance.Dalam lingkungan kerja IT development yang dinamis, karyawan generasi Z menghadapi tuntutan kesiapsiagaan dan adaptasi yang tinggi, yang berpotensi meningkatkan stres kerja dan berdampak pada penurunan kinerja, terutama ketika work-life balance tidak terpenuhi secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh work-life balance terhadap kinerja karyawan, dengan stres kerja sebagai mediasi. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah 194 karyawan generasi Z pada perusahaan IT development yang diambil dengan teknik total sampling. Ada 3 skala yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Skala Individual Work Performance (IWPQ), Work-life Balance Scale dan Skala Job Stress Scale (JSS). Analisis data menggunakan mediated regression analysis model 4 dari Hayes pada aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa stres kerja memediasi secara parsial pengaruh antara work-life balance dan kinerja karyawan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa work-life balance berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui stres kerja. Artinya, stres kerja terbukti berperan sebagai mediasi parsial antara work-life balance dan kinerja karyawan.
