Abstract

Based on serial story media in improving students’ speaking skills. Using a quantitative experimental design, data were collected through both test and non-test techniques. The test instrument consisted of a conversation test, while non-test instruments included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The findings revealed that the experimental class showed greater improvement in scores than the control class. The control class had an average pre-test score of 48.88 and a post-test score of 56.52, while the experimental class improved from 50.04 to 62.48. The Mann-Whitney test results obtained an Asymp. Sig value of 0.025 < 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Thus, Pop-Up Book-based serial story media was proven effective in enhancing the speaking skills of class X students at MA Al Asror Semarang. Non-test data supported these results, showing positive changes in students’ responses, understanding, and attitudes, as well as favorable interview feedback that confirmed students’ enthusiasm and engagement during the learning process. Previous research has developed Pop-Up-based serial story media, whereas this study examines its effectiveness using the same background but at a different school.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using the Gamilab application on Arabic language learning outcomes among tenth-grade students at MAN 3 Tanah Datar. The study was motivated by low learning outcomes among students in Arabic subjects and the limited use of interactive, technology-based learning media in schools. The research employed a quantitative pre-experimental design, specifically the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of all tenth-grade students (28), selected through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using pretest and posttest instruments and analyzed using a paired-samples t-test in SPSS. The results showed a significant difference between the pretest mean score of 50.00 and the posttest mean score of 88.68. The t-test significance value of p < 0.001 (< 0.05) indicated that the use of the Gamilab application had a significant effect on improving students' Arabic learning outcomes. Preliminary evidence from this study suggests that gamification-based platforms may enhance language learning outcomes. It indicates a positive contribution to the integration of interactive technology in Arabic language instruction. These findings offer theoretical implications for the development of digital learning media frameworks, particularly in the context of technology-mediated language pedagogy.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of the “Froggy Jumps” game for teaching Arabic grammar to first-grade students at MTs Perguruan Mu’allimat Cukir Jombang. The study was conducted because grammar instruction was still dominated by traditional lecture methods, which caused students to feel bored and less engaged during the learning process. This research aimed to describe the implementation of grammar learning, develop the “Froggy Jumps” interactive game, and determine its effectiveness in improving students’ understanding of the topic Anwa‘ al-Kalimah. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the ADDIE model, comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The instruments included pre-test and post-test, questionnaires, and expert validation sheets. The results showed that the developed game received very high validation scores from experts for content, media quality, and usability. Furthermore, learning outcomes improved significantly after using the game, with an N-Gain score of 0.72, which is categorized as high. The students also responded positively, considering the game enjoyable, easy to use, and helpful for understanding grammar rules. Therefore, the “Froggy Jumps” game is effective in improving students’ grammar learning outcomes and learning motivation.

Abstract

Arabic grammar is considered one of the most important branches of the Arabic language; however, many students encounter difficulties in understanding grammatical concepts due to their abstract nature and the continued reliance of some teachers on traditional instructional methods. In response to this issue, this study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using Canva as an instructional medium for teaching Arabic grammar through Matn al-Ajurrumiyyah and to examine its impact on students’ grammatical achievement at Nurul Hakim Islamic Boarding School in West Lombok. This study employed a quantitative approach using a one-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of 115 students, while the sample comprised 30 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews and tests and were analyzed using the Normalized Gain (N-Gain) test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings revealed a substantial improvement in students’ performance, with the mean score increasing from 51.67 on the pretest to 90.93 on the posttest. The N-Gain score reached 0.79, indicating a high level of effectiveness. Furthermore, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) was less than 0.001, indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Therefore, the study concludes that the use of Canva is effective for teaching Arabic grammar and positively impacts students’ grammatical achievement at Nurul Hakim Islamic Boarding School, West Lombok. The significance of this study lies in providing a practical model for integrating digital learning media into Arabic grammar instruction, thereby contributing to the development of Arabic language teaching strategies in Islamic educational institutions and supporting the integration of modern technology into the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

Many experts about Arabic argue about the nature of language which will have an impact on the pattern of learning Arabic, including that اللغة في الأساس, هي الكلام” According to Mahmud Kamil al-Nâqah the urgency of speaking skills in the context of learning foreign languages ​​is found in the oral aspects of the language itself. The speaking aspect is the main aspect of the foreign language learning curriculum. This opinion clearly indicates that speaking skills (kalām) indicate a person's success in speaking and knowing the language. Because this proficiency is very much related to pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, listening skills, etc. This research uses descriptive analysis method, and the conclusions obtained based on this research are curriculum design for learning Arabic based on mahārat al-kalām learning theory according to Rusdy Ahmad Thu'aimah and Mahmud Kamil al-Nâqah. Then the use of methods and strategies or techniques based on the right approach will influence the results of language learning goals. The purpose of this study is to analyze the learning of mahārat al-kalām according to Rusdy Ahmad Thu’aimah and Mahmud Kamil al-Nâqah.

Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas control belajar nahwu bahasa Arab yang menggunakan metode mind map dengan yang tidak menggunakan metode mind map. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian control group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas D sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar nahwu bahasa Arab yang menggunakan metode mind map dengan yang tidak menggunakan metode mind map. Hal tersebut terlihat pada uji “t” nilai pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 (Ha diterima). Peningkatan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen mencapai 38.75 point, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 3.12 point. Dari hasil analisis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode mind map dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar nahwu bahasa Arab.

Abstract

The problem of students who feel difficulties in writing learning is caused by the absence of learning media thereby reducing student creativity. For this reason, it is necessary to develop educational media as a medium that can motivate students to learn Arabic. This study aims to find out how the results of the analysis of the needs of teachers and students towards 3D Aurora-based interactive multimedia learning media Presentation is carried out by collecting data through the questionnaire needs. This study uses Research and Development (R & D) Design. The research data was obtained by interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of this study are that teachers and students want the development of 3D interactive multimedia-based learning media Aurora Presentation for Arabic writing skills in class V MI. We can know that the value of the overall aspects of media feasibility is 91.5, which means that the overall value of the aspect of media feasibility is in the range of scores of 86-100 reaching a scale of 4 with a very decent category (very suitable). Thus it can be concluded that the 3D Aurora Presentation-based interactive multimedia that the researchers developed is very feasible to be used by fifth-grade students.

Abstract

This article discusses Nahwu's Usul which covers Qiyas, Illat, and Ta'wil using the Library Study method with a Descriptive Historical Qualitative approach. As for the main sources in writing this article are the books that contain the discussion of Qiyas, Illat, and Tawil and their relation to Greek Philosophy. The author concludes that Nahwu Science was born due to errors in reading the Koran because of the occurrence of birth among speakers of Arabic, not because of the influence of Greek Philosophy, but it cannot be denied that certain themes are influenced by other Sciences, such as methods the formation of Arabic rules inspired by the Science of Jurisprudence, and Ta'lil inspired by the way of thinking of the Greek Philosophers, but in general the application of the Nahwu Science had existed before the interaction between Muslim Scientists and Philosophers.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the type of evaluation, evaluation techniques, and the quality of the instrument for evaluating reading skills in the textbook " Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah". The type this research is library research whose object is textbook "Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah". Meanwhile, the authors analyzed data using content analysis were conducted using the observation of data sources both primary and secondary. The results of this research to show that this type of reading skills evaluation in textbook Durūs Al-Lugah Al-‘Arabiyyah Buku Siswa Bahasa Arab Pendekatan Saintifik Kurikulum 2013 Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah is a type of formative evaluation and diagnostic evaluation. Reading skills evaluation techniques in this book include test technique and non-test technique. The quality of the reading skills evaluation instrument in this book in terms of the material contained multiple-choice items and descriptions that do not match the indicator. In terms of construction, there are some components that are not fulfilled clause study on item true-false, stuffing or short-answer and multiple choice. in terms of language, the overall quality of the evaluation instruments is good.

Abstract

Bahasa Arab yang diajarkan dan dipelajari oleh penutur lain tidaklah mudah. Siswa mungkin mengalami kesulitan belajar sebagai bahasa kedua mereka. Dan beberapa dari mereka terdapat kesalahan selama penerapan bahasa ini, dan kesalahan-kesalahan ini baik secara tertulis maupun dalam pidato.Penelitian ini berkaitan dengan analisis kesalahan linguistik dalam penulisan konstruksi siswa di kelas dua, putri sekolah menengah Islam Ibnu al-Qayyim,Yokayakarta dan penyebab dan solusinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Peneliti mengkelompokkan kesalahan dan menginterpretasikan pendapat Corder. Berdasarkan hasil tes, ditemukan bahwa kesalahan umum dalam makalah konstruksi siswa kelas dua putri di sekolah menengah Islam Ibnu al-Qayyim Yogyakarta adalah 109 kesalahan. Kemudian  mengklasifikasikannya berdasarkan linguistik menjadi empat bagian: 1) Kesalahan pengejaan (44 kesalahan), 2) Kesalahan shorfiyah (12 kesalahan), 3) Kesalahan tata bahasa (29 kesalahan), 4) Kesalahan semantik dan  kata.
