Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the leadership of the Heads of Station Pastoral Councils in Rayon Tiga Baru of the Beato Dionysius Sumbul Parish from the perspective of Evangelii Gaudium. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method. The results indicate that the leadership of the Heads of Station Pastoral Councils is manifested through ministry rooted in spirituality and the joy of the Gospel, exemplary Christian witness, attentiveness to the needs of the faithful, preferential concern for the poor and those facing difficulties, the promotion of dialogue and communal solidarity, contextual evangelization grounded in local culture, active involvement of the laity, and openness to ongoing pastoral renewal. These findings demonstrate that pastoral leadership is not merely oriented toward administrative functions but is characterized by a missionary, participatory, inclusive, and context-sensitive approach that remains close to the realities of the faithful. This study affirms that the principles of Evangelii Gaudium can be concretely actualized in pastoral leadership at the station level and contribute to the enrichment of pastoral leadership studies oriented toward communion, participation, mission, and ecclesial renewal.

Abstract

Religion holds an important place in individual’s life. Religion can lead individuals or communities to build a peaceful life with others; conversely, it can also contribute to conflict. The Maluku’s context as a region that has experienced ethnicity and religion conflicts, clearly demonstrates these contrasting realities. Religion can serve as a unifying force, yet it can also become a source of fragmentation within religiously diverse societies. Therefore, the cultivation of values such as mutual acceptance and respect must begin at an early age, including during adolescence. Christian Religious Education (CRE) serves as one of the educational media that can be utilized to foster deradicalism attitudes and openness toward adherents of other religions in order to promote peace. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method through interviews conducted in group and questionnaires administered to students and teachers at SMA Kristen Rehoboth Ambon. The findings indicate that Christian values have been effectively instilled through CRE classes. However, the process of applying these values often encounters challenges due to emotional wounds resulting from past conflicts. Consequently, the development of contextualized learning strategies becomes an essential step that must be carefully considered and implemented.

Abstract

Academic procrastination remains a significant barrier to student success, affecting both academic performance and mental health. This systematic review discusses the core factors contributing to academic procrastination, including fear of failure, perfectionism, and difficulties in emotion regulation, which cause students to delay academic tasks. The study uses the PRISMA methodology, synthesizing findings from 37 empirical studies published between 2014 and 2025 to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational strategies have emerged as effective approaches in reducing procrastination by addressing unrealistic thinking patterns and enhancing self-regulation skills. In addition, technology-assisted interventions, such as digital planning tools, have shown potential in supporting students' time management. From the perspective of Christian Religious Education, pastoral counseling approaches also provide important contributions through the integration of psychological and spiritual aspects, which help students build meaning, enhance emotional regulation, and strengthen intrinsic motivation in completing academic tasks.
