Abstract

This study aims to explore the meaning of education in the tradition of reading seven selected surahs of the Al-Qur'an at the Al-Munawwir Islamic Boarding School, Al-Fatimiyah Putri Krapyak Complex, Yogyakarta, which serves as a medium for learning to read and memorize the Al-Qur'an. This tradition functions not only as a spiritual avenue but also as an effective teaching method for students to master reading and memorizing the Al-Qur'an correctly. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with an ethnographic approach. Data collection was conducted using three techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized a descriptive-explanatory approach, where the researcher provides an in-depth description of an object, phenomenon, or concept while explaining how it works and the reasons behind it. The findings indicate that this activity significantly enhances students' abilities to read and memorize the Al-Qur'an, particularly the seven selected surahs, while teaching the correct reading rules, including makharijul huruf and tajwid. Additionally, this tradition plays a role in shaping the character and discipline of the students, despite challenges in understanding the meaning and purpose of the activities. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that the tradition of reading sthe seven selected surahs of the Al-Qur'an at the Al-Munawwir Islamic Boarding School, Al-Fatimiyah Krapyak Yogyakarta, is a highly effective educational medium, supporting the spiritual and academic development of the students and imparting beneficial moral values in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts used by school principals to improve eachers' professional competence, as well as the obstacles faced by school principals. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the school principal made efforts to improve the professional competence of teachers through academic supervision, providing training, workshops, and MGMP. However, there are still obstacles in the form of limited time and budget, as well as variations in teacher abilities. In conclusion, the active role of the school principal in carrying out supervision and coaching of teachers is very important to improve the professional competence of teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the theme of women's deceit and the elite of society presented in the Qur'an, using an interpretive approach from Tafsir Fii Zhilalil Qur'an by Sayyid Qutb. Through this interpretive study, the researcher seeks to understand how the Qur'an describes the character and strategies used by women and the elite of society in the context of deceit, as well as the moral and social implications contained therein. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach to examine relevant verses and interpret their meanings in historical, social, and cultural contexts. The results of the study show that the Qur'an acknowledges the existence of women's deceit as a diverse phenomenon, both carried out by women and the elite of society, and teaches humans to recognize and overcome such deceit through wisdom and strong faith.

Abstract

Education is a process that humanizes humans. This concept shows that without strong morality, education will not be achieved. This article aims to analyze Surah Luqman verses 12-19, which contain important themes in moral education for children. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, relying on the interpretation text "al-Misbah" by M. Quraish Shihab as a data source. which helps in identifying important and relevant themes. The results of this study indicate that the concept of moral education in Surah Luqman includes monotheism, obedience to parents, and an invitation to do good and prevent bad deeds. This study also found three main points in moral education, namely: spiritual morals, individual morals, and social morals. This study contributes to a more contextual interpretation of children's education, which will face social realities in their future lives. The concept of amar ma'ruf is education that is oriented towards harmony, while nahi munkar is an educational effort to avoid communal conflict.

Abstract

This study analyzes the management of natural resources (SDA) according to the Qur'an from the perspective of environmental issues, by referring to Tafsir Al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. Islam views humans as caliphs on earth, who are responsible for maintaining and preserving nature. The principles of justice, balance, and sustainability are the main foundations in the utilization of natural resources. The prohibition against environmental damage and waste of resources is very relevant to modern environmental challenges such as deforestation, pollution, and climate change. This study highlights the importance of wise water management, preservation of flora and fauna, and environmental education as part of the responsibility of mankind. Tafsir Al-Misbah emphasizes that the use of natural resources must be carried out fairly and in balance to ensure the sustainability of nature for future generations. The research method used is a descriptive analytical library study with primary data sourced from the verses of the Qur'an in Tafsir Al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. The research concludes that Islamic teachings on natural resource management, as outlined in Tafsir Al-Misbah, provide strong moral and ethical guidance for addressing current environmental issues. By emphasizing the principles of justice and balance, these teachings support global efforts to achieve environmental sustainability and long-term well-being.

Abstract

Heading the ball is one of the learning materials for the game of football. Students are required to have competence through understanding and the ability to practice basic head-to-head techniques. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of football heading learning outcomes through the TGT learning model in grade X students of SMA Negeri 7 Ambon. This type of research is classroom action research. The implementation of the action takes place in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 26 students in class X. Learning outcomes are determined based on the rubric of assessment of attitudes, knowledge and skills. The results of the study showed that the learning results of heading the ball in cycle I, there were 16 students who had completed or 68.56% with a total score of 1391.25. Meanwhile, 10 students did not complete or 25.80% with a total score of 662.46. In the second cycle, 26 students have met the KKM or (91.01%) with a total score of 2295.72. The results of this study can be concluded that the TGT learning model can improve the learning outcomes of basic dribbling techniques in football games in grade X students of SMA Negeri 7 Ambon.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students pedagogical skills through a lesson study model in microteaching courses. The type of research conducted is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 6 students from the Mathematics Education, Biology Education, English Education and Indonesian Education Study Programs at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Iqra Buru University. Data collection uses observation sheets on the lesson plans made and the learning implementation process. The results of the research obtained are: 1) in preparing the learning implementation plan), from the 7 aspects that were assessed, namely: (1) the completeness of the identity of the RPP is obtained from 65% to 85%; (2) the formulation of learning objectives was obtained from 67.8% to 90%; (3) The description of the subject matter was obtained from 65% to 85%; (4) learning methods, strategies and media were obtained by 58%; to 92.6%; (5) the learning plan was obtained by 66.6%, to 84.3%; (6) The assessment was obtained by 70%, to 90%; and (7) learning resources were obtained by 75%, to 88.5. 2) Implementation (Do) with the application of lesson study there was a very good increase where from 3 aspects that were assessed to obtain ideals, namely (1) Introduction, 68.7% to 88% of categories; (2) Core, 61.6%, to 85%; and (3) 65% cover to 95. In conclusion, the application of the lesson study model in microteaching courses can improve students' pedagogical teaching skills.

Abstract

The problem in this study is whether the learning outcomes of heading the ball in a football game can be improved through the problem solving learning model? The purpose of this study is to find out the improvement of learning outcomes of heading the ball in football games through the problem solving learning model in grade VIII students of MTS Negeri 1 Central Maluku. The subjects of the study were 18 students in grade VIII. The research instruments used in this study include; rubric assessment of attitudes, knowledge and psychomotor. The results of the study showed that the learning outcomes of the first cycle with a total score of 1214 and learning completeness reached 66.30% or there were 10 students who completed out of 18 students. Student learning outcomes in cycle II with a total score of 1441 and learning completeness reached 80.05%. There was an increase in learning outcomes of 13.75%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and compare Islamic views on human trafficking based on two prominent tafsir works, namely Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka and Tafsir Al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab. Human trafficking, as a form of modern slavery, is a global problem that is very contrary to human values. From an Islamic perspective, protection of human dignity and rights is strongly emphasized, including the prohibition of all forms of human exploitation. Tafsir Al-Azhar, with a contextual and sociological approach, emphasizes the importance of maintaining human honor and freedom and condemns slavery in the socio-cultural context of Indonesia. On the other hand, Tafsir Al-Misbah, with a linguistic and historical approach, highlights human trafficking as a violation of the principles of justice and humanity in Islamic teachings. This study found that although the two tafsirs have different approaches, both are in line in the view that human trafficking is an act that is prohibited in Islam and contrary to the universal values taught by the Qur'an.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasingly complex environmental problems in Indonesia, such as deforestation, water and air pollution, ecosystem damage, and the significant impacts of climate change. The environmental crisis is not only caused by inappropriate policies, but also by the low public awareness of the importance of preserving nature. In this context, Islamic thought derived from the Qur'an is relevant to provide moral and practical solutions. This study examines the wisdom of two great Indonesian scholars, Buya Hamka and Quraish Shihab, through their tafsir works, Tafsir Al-Azhar and Tafsir Al-Misbah, which contain views on the relationship between humans and nature. This comparative study aims to identify the relevance of the interpretations of the two figures in answering contemporary environmental problems in Indonesia. Although there are differences in methodology in interpretation, both Buya Hamka and Quraish Shihab emphasize the importance of environmental ethics and human responsibility as caliphs on earth. In conclusion, their interpretations not only have theological value, but also provide relevant practical guidelines for addressing environmental challenges in Indonesia.
