Abstract

This study analyzes the supply chain of halal culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tulusrejo Village, Malang City, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The three MSMEs examined, namely Qurnia Sari, Van-Van Bakery, and Yamka Cookies, demonstrate a commitment to halal principles and product quality, despite facing challenges in supply chain transparency and the halal certification process. The results indicate that all three MSMEs have implemented halal standards in the selection of raw materials, production, storage, and distribution. However, they face challenges such as limited resources, market competition, and a lack of marketing innovation. Further analysis reveals that the effectiveness of the supply chain is influenced by product quality consistency, distribution strategies, and support for halal certification. Strategic recommendations include enhancing human resource capacity, optimizing digital marketing, and collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen the competitiveness of halal culinary MSMEs

Abstract

This study examines the influence of boycott and brand image on the purchase decision of KFC products, with religiosity as a moderation variable in the Muslim community in North Sumatra. The survey was conducted on 100 Muslim respondents according to the research criteria. The analysis used Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with SPSS version 27. The results showed that: First, boycotts had a negative and significant effect on purchasing decisions, suggesting that the stronger the motivation of consumers to boycott, the lower their tendency to buy KFC products. Second, brand image also has a significant effect, where a positive brand image can increase consumers' intentions and decisions to make purchases. Third, simultaneously, these two variables (boycott and brand image) together contribute significantly to purchasing decisions, which means that consumers' decisions in purchasing KFC products are influenced by a combination of the two. Fourth, religiosity has been shown to moderate the relationship between boycott and brand image on purchasing decisions. In consumers with high levels of religiosity, the influence of boycotts becomes stronger in lowering purchasing decisions, while the influence of brand image becomes greater in driving purchases. This is evident from the regression equation Y = α + β1X1 + β2X2 + β3X3 + β4Z + β5X1Z + β5X2Z + β5X3Z + e. Overall, a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.674 indicates that 67.4% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by a combination of boycotts, halal labels, and brand imagery, while the remaining 32.6% the rest is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Digital financial literacy is a critical competency for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in navigating the challenges of the digital economy and increasing global competition. This study developed a digital financial literacy training model that integrates active and interactive learning approaches with the utilization of digital technology to enhance financial management skills. The training program was implemented with 27 tenant owners at Teras Malioboro, employing a pre-test and post-test design to measure knowledge and skill acquisition. The findings indicate that the training model is highly effective in enhancing participants’ financial understanding and competence, achieving an average practicality score of 91.13%. The model is considered practical and easily adaptable across diverse MSME contexts due to its interactive and flexible design. Furthermore, this study emphasizes the importance of adopting modern digital tools and methodologies in financial training to address the evolving needs of MSMEs in the digital era. The results provide strategic recommendations for policymakers, educators, and business development practitioners to strengthen digital financial literacy and promote sustainable growth and competitiveness among MSMEs

Abstract

Abstract Employee performance is a vital aspect in determining the effectiveness and success of an organization, especially in the public sector. This study aims to analyze the effect of work engagement and work motivation on performance through organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). This study uses a quantitative method with a saturated sample technique of 121 employees in the public sector, the analyst uses the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to test the relationship between variables. The findings of the study indicate that work engagement has a positive and significant effect on performance, but not significant on OCB. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on performance and OCB. OCB has a positive and significant effect on performance. OCB cannot be a mediating role between work engagement and performance. However, it can be a mediating role between work motivation and performance. The implications of these findings suggest that organizations need to pay more attention to work motivation factors such as incentives, career development, and a supportive work environment, which can encourage higher OCB behavior, which ultimately contributes to improving overall employee performance. While work engagement has a direct impact on performance, organizations also need to find ways to enhance its impact on OCB to foster a more collaborative and productive work culture

Abstract

This study is motivated by the gap between formal entrepreneurship education and the actual readiness of students to become entrepreneurs. The aim of this study is to explore the entrepreneurial readiness of 2024 entrepreneurship students at Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with purposive sampling for participant selection. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. The results reveal that student readiness is shaped through complex interactions between internal motivation, self-efficacy, campus and family support, and project-based learning experiences. However, challenges such as fear of failure and lack of practical experience remain key obstacles. This study highlights the need for contextual, practical, and socially integrated entrepreneurship education. The implication is the importance of strengthening the curriculum and campus entrepreneurial ecosystem to produce graduates who are genuinely prepared to compete in the business world.

Abstract

The digital transformation in the banking sector has emerged as a critical global phenomenon, particularly in addressing the evolving needs of Generation Z—a cohort raised in a digitally connected environment. This study aims to assess the extent to which banking institutions, both in Indonesia and globally, have adapted to the digital expectations of Gen Z. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research analyzes 21 peer-reviewed articles sourced from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, published between 2019 and 2025. The findings identify key determinants influencing Gen Z’s adoption of digital banking, including perceived ease of use, data security, user experience (UX/UI), and service personalization. Results suggest that digital banks and neobanks are more appealing to Gen Z than traditional financial institutions. The study recommends strengthening technology-driven innovation, implementing customer-centric approaches, and fostering strategic collaboration with fintech companies. Managerial implications highlight the need for technology-based service development, enhancement of digital financial literacy, and the expansion of inclusive and sustainable financial ecosystems

Abstract

Research on digital entrepreneurial intention (DEI) has grown significantly over the past decade; however, systematic mapping of its trends, scholarly collaborations, and thematic structures remains limited. This study aims to map the development of scientific publications, thematic distribution, and influential contributors in DEI research using a bibliometric approach. A total of 236 articles from the Scopus database covering the years 2011–2025 were analyzed using the PRISMA method, supported by Microsoft Excel, Publish or Perish, and VOSviewer for data visualization. The results indicate a sharp increase in DEI-related publications since 2021, with key themes including digital literacy, self-efficacy, entrepreneurship education, and the Theory of Planned Behavior. Students emerged as the most frequently studied population within this field. Furthermore, the study identifies the most productive countries, authors, and journals contributing to DEI research. These findings provide a comprehensive overview of the intellectual landscape of digital entrepreneurship and offer a foundation for developing policy and educational strategies in digital entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the hybrid learning model (a combination of online and face-to-face instruction) in the Investment Analysis course. The course was delivered in two phases: limited in-person meetings and independent assignment-based learning during the students’ community service program (KKN). A descriptive quantitative approach was applied using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The respondents consisted of 32 sixth-semester students from the Economic Education Study Program at Universitas Hamzanwadi enrolled in the 2024/2025 academic year. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze students’ perceptions of comfort, learning effectiveness, and challenges during hybrid instruction. The findings revealed that most students appreciated the flexibility of hybrid learning, especially in managing study schedules during KKN. However, many also experienced difficulties in mastering technical materials such as NPV, IRR, and Payback Period when studying independently. These results suggest that hybrid learning can be an effective alternative in constrained learning conditions, provided it is supported by adequate digital resources and structured academic guidance. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more effective hybrid learning strategies, especially for courses that require analytical and numerical understanding

Abstract

The digital transformation in the Islamic financial sector requires the development of more efficient, secure, and transparent payment systems. This study aims to explore the opportunities and challenges of blockchain-based Islamic payment systems and proposes a conceptual framework for developing secure and sharia-compliant digital payment systems. Using a conceptual literature review method and qualitative content analysis of academic sources and regulatory documents, this study finds that blockchain can enhance the efficiency and transparency of Islamic payment systems but requires dual auditing (shariah and technical) and adaptive regulations. This article introduces the “Sharia-Compliant Blockchain Payment Framework”, an original model that integrates Islamic principles from the design stage of digital payment systems. This study represents one of the first conceptual efforts to propose a sharia-compliant blockchain-based payment system framework, contributing to the advancement of Islamic economic law in the digital era.
