Abstract

This research aims to determine the Role of Women's Schools in Strengthening the Family Function in the Educational Field for Housewives in Tanjung Rejo Village. This research was conducted at PKBM Laskar Pelangi as the venue for women's school activities in Tanjung Rejo Village, Percut Sei Tuan sub-district. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The subjects in this study are 2 managers of women's schools and 2 learning participants. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The technique for checking the validity of data includes credibility testing, dependability testing, transferability testing, and confirmability testing. The results of the study show several findings: 1) Women's schools contribute positively to instilling religious education, introducing values such as patience, honesty, and sex education, creating an environment that supports the spiritual and moral development of learning participants. 2) The role of women's schools in moral education contributes positively by integrating moral values into the curriculum. 3) Women's schools help families create a safe emotional environment, supporting children in dealing with feelings and emotions. 4) The role of women's schools in developing household skills provides practical knowledge and training related to managing daily household tasks. 5) Women's schools successfully develop vocational skills, such as utilizing social media, making accessories, and entrepreneurial skills, contributing to the ability of housewives to apply these skills in daily life and even encouraging the opening of small businesses at home. Abstract

“Pemerintah sekarang secara aktif mengupayakan pendidikan yang berkualitas tinggi. Dalam hal meningkatkan pendidikan, pemerintah bukanlah satu-satunya pemain. Bisnis, sekolah, dan masyarakat juga ikut berperan untuk membuat perubahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan rangkuman tingkat tinggi tentang relevansi inisiatif untuk meningkatkan sistem pendidikan Indonesia, yang sering kali dianggap berkualitas rendah. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dan studi literatur. Survei literatur termasuk buku dan majalah menyediakan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyebab rendahnya standar pendidikan din Idonesia dan apa yang harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkannya. Guru perlu mengambil bagian dalam program pengembangan profesional jika mereka ingin meningkatkan standar pembelajaran siswa dan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang substansial. Dalam hal memenuhi tuntutan standar kualitas metode yang optimal, dinas pendidikan berperan dalam memberikan bimbingan, pengawasan, dan kepemimpinan.”

Abstract

Mathematics learning is not only important in developing cognitive abilities, but affective abilities are also very important. One of these affective abilities is mathematical disposition. Efforts to improve mathematical disposition need to be supported by effective learning models. So the aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the learning model on students' mathematical disposition. By using a literature study research method, namely the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this research revealed that in the 2019-2024 period there were 101 relevant research articles related to the effectiveness of learning models on students' mathematical disposition abilities with the most widely used learning model being the learning model. Problem Based Learning (PBL) The most widely used research method is quantitative research methods (quasi-experimental) while the research subjects are mostly aimed at junior high school students.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the fact that there is a school located in isolated area with high performance teacher. Teacher performance influenced by school environment, the way principal lead, work motivation, and incentive. The purpose of this research is generally carried out to determine the influence of principal leadership and school climate on teacher performance. Specifically, this research aims to describe the reason of these variables can affect teacher performance. The method of this research was a quantitative, which used quantitative descriptive method to describe the result. The data was collected by 26 teachers at SMP YPPK Santo Don Bosco Fak Fak. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and data validation as a review to see the validity of the data. The results of the study obtained data, and it’s indicated that (1) principal leadership has a significant role in improving teacher performance, (2) school climate has significant effect on teacher performance, and (3) principal leadership and work motivation have a synergistic effect on teacher performance at SMP YPPK Santo Don Bosco Fak Fak.

Abstract

This study conducts a comparative analysis between the concept of Paideia education in Ancient Greek civilization and the idea of Merdeka Belajar promoted by the current Indonesian Government. Paideia, which comes from the Greek language, is a holistic education system that aims to form a complete citizen and become a good and wise human being. Meanwhile, Merdeka Belajar is an education policy that emphasizes freedom of learning, creativity, and independence of students. Through a philosophical approach, this research explores the similarities and differences between the two concepts, as well as their implications for educational practice in Indonesia. The findings show that despite differences in historical and cultural contexts, the two concepts share a common thread, namely prioritizing character building and the development of individual potential as a whole. However, Merdeka Belajar tends to focus more on aspects of freedom and creativity, while Paideia emphasizes the formation of good citizens. This research provides new insights in understanding the concept of education from a cross-cultural and historical perspective, and provides recommendations for the development of more holistic and meaningful educational practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the development of Early Childhood Education (ECED) procedures in reform-era Indonesia. The main focus is on policy implementation and the important role of families and communities in supporting it. The research was conducted using a desk study method to analyze relevant literature. The results show progress in ECD policy development but also identify challenges such as inequitable access and quality of ECD in different regions. Reform-era education reforms emphasize decentralization and competency-based systems, but implementation has been uneven. The role of family and community is considered crucial in supporting the success of ECD by involving them in formal, non-formal and informal education processes. This involvement is important to create an environment that supports the holistic development of young children. The study recommends a systemic approach to education reform, integrating changes to learning experiences, learning systems, local management and legislation systems.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to evaluate the existence of the core elements of the Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) method implemented at SMTK Gloria Sentani, along with the impact felt by students if it is not applied inclusively and holistically. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with a thematic approach. To validate the data, the researcher applied data triangulation sourced from interviews, observations, and document reviews. In analyzing the data, the researcher applied the Miles and Huberman method, which involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and analysis. The analysis focuses on the existence and absence of the 5 core elements in the CTL method, which include relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, and transferring. The results obtained from this research indicate that 3 elements—experiencing, applying, and transferring—are not included, whereas relating and cooperating are included. The impact felt when the CTL elements are not applied holistically is that students do not think creatively and innovatively, do not think critically, and learning outcomes tend not to be achieved. The t fundamental reason for not implementing the CTL method inclusively and holistically is the factor of readiness to learn and students’ background.

Abstract

Students with autism developmental challenges in communication, social interaction, and behavior due to neurological disorders. These aspects impact their understanding in classroom learning, including currency calculation proficiency. Assessment results identified two (2) eighth-grade (VIII) students with autism at SLB Doloksanggul having low currency calculation skills. This study aims to enhance teaching quality to improve these skills and assess if Quizizz application can elevate currency calculation abilities among autistic students. Subject selection involved specialized child identification tools and currency calculation assessments. The research employs a two-cycle (2) action research approach comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and tests. Quantitative analysis, presented via percentage graphs, and qualitative descriptions from visual data, indicated improved proficiency following Quizizz intervention. Educators are encouraged to incorporate Quizizz to enhance classroom learning quality for students with autism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the simple writing skills of grade II elementary school students by using a culturally responsive teaching (CRT) approach assisted by flashcard media. The research was conducted in class II-B at SD Negeri Jambangan I/413 Surabaya, involving 32 students. The study utilized classroom action research with the four steps of the Kemmis and McTaggart model: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data were compiled through learning result sheets and field notes. The study's findings demonstrated that the average score for basic writing abilities had increased from 45 in the pre-action period to 63 in cycle I and 79 in cycle II. The percentage of students achieving learning outcomes improved from 9% in the pre-action phase to 53% in cycle I and 89% in cycle II. It was concluded that culturally responsive teaching assisted by flashcard media could improve simple writing skills in Indonesian subjects in elementary schools through engaging, culture-based learning activities and the support of images to enhance students' understanding and writing abilities.

Abstract

The focus of education in the 4.0 era is not only on academic knowledge, but also on the development of important skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. These are skills needed to adapt to the changing world of work. The use of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and augmented reality (AR) has changed the way teachers and students interact. Learning can be done online with digital platforms, allowing access to wider information and flexibility of time. Artificial intelligence (AI) has changed many aspects of life, including education. This article aims to explore the use of AI in learning for students, with a focus on effectiveness, impact, and challenges faced. Through a literature review and case studies, this research identifies how AI can improve the learning experience, personalize education, and increase student engagement.
