Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi numerasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita aljabar. di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gamping Kabupaten Bantul Kelas VII. Metode yang dipakai pada penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ialah siswa kelas VII A di SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Gamping Kabupaten Bantul. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis yang dipakai yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa dengan nilai tes kemampuan literasi numerasi tertinggi dapat memenuhi 3 indikator, lalu siswa dengan nilai tes kemampuan literasi numerasi kategori sedang dapat memenuhi 2 indikator, sedangkan siswa dengan nilai tes kemampuan literasi numerasi terendah hanya memenuhi 1 indikator saja.

Abstract

The right learning model helps student mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning to improve. The knisley mathematics learning model is one model that can be used as a reference because the learning process is based on experience. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the achievement and improvement of students’ mathematical communication skills who get the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model better than students who get conventional learning. The research method used is the experimental method. The population in this study were all students of VIII grade at one of the junior high schools in East Karawang, while the sample was taken from two classes randomly using cluster random sampling, obtained by VIII K class as the experimental class and VIII A class as the control class. The design in this study used a pretest-posttest control group design with a quantitative approach. The data were processed using Microsoft Excel 2007 software and SPSS software version 21 for windows. The data analysis in this used the normality test, homogeneity test, two-mean difference test, and n-gain data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the achievement of mathematical communication skills of students who get the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model is better than students who get conventional learning, as well as the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who get the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model is higher than students who get conventional learning. This means that the Knisley Mathematics Learning Model is effective in achieving and improving junior high school students’ mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Motivation and interest in learning mathematics have been acknowledged as among factors affecting mathematics learning outcomes. This is a quantitative study aims to investigate the effect of mathematics learning motivation and interest on mathematics learning outcomes of students. Study population was all of students of MTsN 2 Lhoksemawe, Aceh Province, while study samples involved 30 students from Class VII. Study data involved scores of mathematics learning motivation and mathematics learning interests which were collected by using quistionnaires, while mathematics learning outcomes were measured by using mathematics scores on students’ semester report cards. Data was analyzed statistically using descriptive, correlation, and regression analyses. Results showed that: (1) students’ mathematics learning motivation and interest were in the sufficient category, with motivation mean score was 72.24% and interest mean score was 70.45%; (2) mathematics learning motivation and mathematics learning interest were significantly and positively correlated with mathematics learning outcomes in the moderate category; (3) The effect of learning motivation (X1) and learning interest (X2) on learing outcomes (Y) was presented by regression model Y=78,287+0,066X1+0,037X2. The model could explain 22% of variations within the learning outcomes variable, while the reminder of 78% could be affected by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

Analisis konten merupakan suatu kajian yang berupa pembahasan rinci mengenai isi informasi tertulis atau tercetak dalam suatu media pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis media pembelajaran berupa video yang sesuai untuk pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi lengkung. Analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini mengukur dan mengevaluasi beberapa aspek: (1) aspek isi materi pendidikan, (2) aspek desain pembelajaran, (3) aspek media dan komunikasi, dan (4) aspek kegunaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video pembelajaran struktur ruang lengkung cocok sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran dengan tingkat kelayakan media sebesar 79,9%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan materi pembelajaran rasio dalam konteks makanan khas palembang dengan menggunakan teknologi Augmented Reality yang valid dan praktis, serta mengetahui potensi pengaruhnya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian formatif Research and Development (R&D) dengan evaluasi formatif Tessmer yang terdiri dari tahap evaluasi pendahuluan dan formatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan (1) Materi pembelajaran menggunakan teknologi Augmented Reality dengan kriteria “Sangat Valid” dilihat dari aspek kualitas sistem, desain tampilan, Augmented Reality, isi, desain, dan kualitas teknis, (2) Materi pembelajaran menggunakan teknologi Augmented Reality dengan kriteria “Sangat Praktis” dilihat dari aspek kejelasan, daya tarik, kesalahan yang nyata, keefektifan, keterlaksanaan, penerimaan pengguna, dan penerimaan organisasi, dan (3) Materi pembelajaran menggunakan teknologi Augmented Reality mempunyai potensi pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 84%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' analytical thinking skills in learning mathematics on fraction operations. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Ponelo Kepulauan which involved 26 students. This data collection technique is in the form of essay tests and interviews totaling 8 questions. To measure students' ability to think analytically, 3 indicators are used, namely: 1) Differentiating, 2) Organizing, and 3) Connecting. The results of this study indicate that students' analytical thinking skills in learning mathematics for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Ponelo Kepulauan are still in the moderate category because they reach a percentage of. Furthermore, the results for each indicator also belong to the medium category because it achieves a presentation of 61.54% respectively; 53.85%; 65.38%.

Abstract

This research aims to see the influence of the Ethno-RME approach on mathematical problem solving skill as seen in the results of tests on mathematical problem solving skill of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota. The research was conducted to determine the differences in the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota who applied the Ethno-RME approach and the mathematical problem solving skill of students who applied conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research, with a Simple Random Sampling sampling technique. The population in this study were students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang City for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research subjects consisted of class VIIIA, totaling 22 people and VIIIB, totaling 22 people. The data analysis technique used is the Independent Sample T-Test and the N-Gain test with the help of SPSS 29. Based on the N-Gain Score Test for the experimental class with the Ethno-RME approach, it is 61%, including in the quite effective category, it can be concluded that the use of the approach Ethno-RME is quite effective in improving students' mathematical problem solving skill.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical communication skills seen in the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota. This research aims to find out whether the mathematical communication abilities of class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota who apply the Ethno-RME Approach are better than the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who apply conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research, with a Simple Random Sampling sampling technique. The population in this study were class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bangkinang Kota for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research subjects consisted of class VIIB, totaling 24 people and VIIC, totaling 24 people. The data analysis technique used is the T test and N gain test with the help of SPSS 26. Based on the N-Gain Score test for the experimental class with the Ethno-RME approach which is 63%, which is in the quite effective category, it can be concluded that the use of the Ethno-RME approach is sufficient effective for improving students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VII students at SMPN 2 Kabun. One solution to overcome this problem is to use an ethnomathematics-based RME approach. The aim of this research is to determine the difference in the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who apply the ethnomathematics-based RME approach and students who apply conventional learning. This research is an experiment using a quasi experimental design. The research subjects consisted of class VII D, totaling 27 students and VII B, totaling 26 students. The sampling technique used is random sampling. The data collection techniques used were observation sheets and test questions on the ability to understand mathematical concepts. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average test results for students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in the experimental class using the ethnomathematics-based RME approach and the control class which applies conventional learning for class VII students at SMPN 2 Kabun. This can be proven through the Independent Sample T-Test, obtaining a sig(2-tailed) value of 0.007 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the mathematics learning independence of Islamic boarding school students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample in this study was 40 Al Imdad Bantul Islamic Boarding School students who were randomly selected. Data collection uses questionnaires and interviews. This type of research is qualitative research and is descriptive. The results of this research show that the level of independence in students' mathematics learning at the Al Imdad Islamic Boarding School during the Covid 19 pandemic has a level of independence in six indicators of students' learning independence, namely students have 82.5% self-confidence, 67.25% students are able to work alone, students are able to appreciate time 77.5%, students have a responsible nature 79.38%, students desire to compete to advance 74.22%, and students are able to make decisions 72.88%. Researchers concluded that students at the Al Imdad Islamic Boarding School did not have low levels of independence in learning mathematics.
