Abstract

This study was used to determine the feasibility of the instrument before being used for further research. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design. In this study, to calculate the validation results from three validators who are experts in their fields using the arithmetic average, the validated instruments are: (1) the validation questions get 87.51% results; (2) validation of attitude assessment got 90.27% results; (3) validation of student skills assessment got 92.71% results; (4) the validation of the assessment of the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) got 92.16% results; (5) validation of the syllabus assessment got 86.95% results; (6) Moodle assessment validation with browser exam got 87.25% results; (7) the validation of the student learning module assessment got 84.71% results; (8) the validity of the items is declared valid; (9) the reliability of the items is declared reliable; (10) the differentiating power of the items has very good criteria; and (11) the level of difficulty of the items showed that of the 40 items tested, the percentage was 35% (14 questions) in the medium category, and 65% (26 questions) in the easy category. From the calculation results that have been mentioned, the Moodle application instrument with a browser exam to measure online learning outcomes is declared feasible and can be used for further research.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is: (1) to determine the quality of the learning medium of electromagnetic control trainers and learning devices, and learning instruments using problem-based learning models; (2) to know the influence of students ' learning outcomes between the learning media of electromagnetic control trainers and industry panels on student learning outcomes. This type of research used was experimental quasi research with a quantitative approach and a Nonequivalent control group design. The learning outcomes in this study were the results of the study of the cognitive sphere, the study of the affective realm, and the results of learning psychomotor realm. Data collection is with test sheets on pretes and postes for cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheets of students learning attitudes for the results of the affective realm and observation sheets for psychomotor realm learning outcomes. The results showed that: (1) The learning medium of electromagnetic control trainers, learning devices, and learning instruments using problem-based learning models received excellent quality results; (2) Learning results of students who learn to use the learning media of the higher electromagnetic control trainer significantly compared to the learning outcomes of students who learn using industrial panel media.

Abstract

The study was aimed to find out if there is a significant difference between the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh who are taught vocabulary by using wall chart and those who are taught without using wall chart. The experiment was from conducted from from March 5th, 2018 to May 8th, 2018.  2018 at SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. This study is conducted by using quantitative research and in this case is an experimental study. The population of this study is all students of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh in academic year 2017/2018. The total population is 115 students who are composed of five classes; class VIII1, class VIII2, class VIII3, class VIII4, and class VIII5. While the sample of this study  is taken from two classes of the five classes. One class is as an experimental group and one another is as control group. In this study, the students of class VIII5   are taken as experimental group and the students of class VIII4  are taken as control group. Every group consists of 30 students thus the total sample is 60. Choosing class as experimental and control group is done randomly. The data were gotten through test; pre-test and post test. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 18.0. The result of the study shows that there is a significant difference between the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh who are taught vocabulary by using wall chart and those who are taught without using wall chart. It can be proven from the result of this study where the result of t-test of post-test of the both group is 3.028. While the result of  t-table with the level of significance 0,05 is 0,668. Thus, t-test (3.028) is greater than the t-table (0,668). Based on the result of the study, English teachers of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh especially those who teach vocabulary should implement Wall Charts in teaching and learning process because the implementation of the media can increase the students vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is important to create students who can use mathematical mindset in their daily activities, and in various sciences. The conditions at school this time show us that students still run into problems in resolve math questions which related to mathematical creative thinking ability that finally impact on the result is low for this ability. Therefore, we need strategy for mathematics learning so it can improve  mathematical creative thinking ability for students. The strategy that can be applied are through Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, dan Transferring (REACT). This research aims to know the improvement creative thinking mathematical ability for students through react strategy. The type of this research is experimental research with a quantitative approach. The populations in this study are students in class X SMAN 1 Banda Aceh. The sample in this study is students in class X MIA-3 as an experimental class that gets learning with REACTs strategy, and students in class X MIA-1 as a control class that has conventional learning. The instrument of this research is the questions of pretest and post-test. The quantitative analysis using a test independent sample t-test. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that improvement creative thinking mathematical ability for students by teaching with REACTs strategy is better than improvement of students' creative thinking skills by teaching conventionally.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the factors that arise on the interests that affect students in doing business online. Online business has several factors that influence the development of student interest. Some students think that they will become unemployed after college, or that they will find it difficult to get a job later, and so on. From the results of the research conducted, it was found that there were educational and environmental factors that were very influential in the progress of student interest in doing online business. The sample used in this study were 20 students from the entire student population. The method used in this research is survey method and quantitative analysis method. This study uses a questionnaire instrument in data collection. The data obtained in the education factor is the t-count value of the education variable> from the t-table, namely (3.251> 2.086) and a significant value (0.000 <0.05). And for environmental factors, the t-count value for environmental variables is <than the t-table value, namely (1.552 <2, 086) and a significant value (0.255> 0.05). From the test results, the value of the F table is 2.71 at the level of alpha = 0.05 degrees of freedom of the numerator 3 and the denominator is 16. Obtained F count is 4.513> than the F table is 3.10. This comparison shows that the influence of education and environmental factors simultaneously has an impact on student interest in doing business online.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of the problem-based learning model can influence the understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills in social studies learning in the fourth grade of SDN 1 Mulung. This study uses a quantitative method with quasi-experimental design type nonequivalent sampled group design. The dependent variable in this study is the understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills, and the different variables are problem-based learning models. The sample chosen in this study uses namely IV-A class students totaling 20 students and IV-B class students totaling 20 students, using the sample random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests (pre-test and post-test). The research instrument used was a test sheet for understanding concepts and problem-solving skills. Instrument analysis technique uses validity test and reliability test while the data analysis technique uses the normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test, and normalized n-gain test. Based on the calculation of the T-test, Sig. (2-tailed) That is equal to 0,000 <0,05, then Ha is accepted, or there are significant differences between the difference between the results of the post-test and pre-test of the control class with the difference between the results of the post-test and the pre-test of the experimental class. This can be interpreted that the problem-based learning model has a significant effect on the understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills in social studies learning in the fourth grade of SDN 1 Mulung on natural resource material. To provide effective, interesting, and fun learning for students, teachers, should use an interesting learning model.
