Abstract

The post-millennial generation or currently known as the Z generation, is a generation born in the 2000s, a future generation born in the Internet era. These post-millennial generations don't like rigid rules, tend to think creatively and openly and are very easy to comment. An important point in dealing with the post-millennial generation by giving special directions for understanding ethics in social life. In the learning process, the post-millennial generation has visual characteristics, tries and sees the results of the process, wants the teacher as a facilitator, learning starts with "how", and is very easy to get information / knowledge. This is a challenge in determining the right learning strategy for them. Flipped Classroom learning strategy is a strategy designed by the teacher in preparing for learning before face to face in class / at home through learning videos then reflecting on the results of learning in the classroom with discussion and work on assignments (The Flipped Learning Network, 2014). Flipped classrooms require careful preparation so that learning videos that are made interesting, high quality, and can be understood by students without face to face. While students, on the other hand, must have access to an internet connection. With the problem based learning method it is expected that students/ vocational high school (SMK) students will be able to create something different to produce rewards in the form of money as well as personal satisfaction and freedom (Drucker, 1999). In entrepreneurship, students must understand the importance of maintaining health by maintaining and protecting food hygiene, through controlling environmental factors that can or may cause illness and health problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a textbook on Embryology and Animal Reproduction based on the research on the development of mouse embryos by adding DEET (Diethyltoluamide) that was appropriate and validated by material, media and language experts. This research is a development study of textbooks on animal embryology and reproduction based on the results of research on the development of mouse embryos by adding DEET. The development of this textbook refers to the 4D model developed by Thiagarajan, et al. (1974) which consisted of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate, which were modified to be adapted to this study. This development research produced a textbook on Embryology and Animal Reproduction based on research on the development of mouse embryos by adding proper DEET and validating it by material, media and language experts.

Abstract

The implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Indonesias education still faces many obstlacles. One of them is the lack of appropriate  teaching materials, it causes difficulties for both students and teachers during teaching and learning process. This development aims to produce a student worksheet with used guided discovery learning model for student grade X, analysing the appropriateness of the worksheet, and analysing students responses on the developed worksheet. The type of this study is Research and Development. Development model used in this study is the one according to Branch that is ADDIE which consists of analyse, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed a content worthiness score of 87.21% with very decent criteria, presentation worthiness of 89.09% with very decent criteria, linguistic worthiness of 83.64% with very decent criteria and graphics worthiness of 89.67% with very decent criteria. The average of the four components of the study and validation was 87.37% with very decent criteria. While the average score of the percentage of student responses was 83.13% with very good criteria. So it can be concluded that the Student Worksheet (LKS) developed was stated to be very suitable for use in the learning process and obtain positive responses from students

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a Critical Literacy model for Management Economics departments Students of economics and business faculty of UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur in Arranging Final Project to Avoid Plagiarism. The research method uses a qualitative and quantitative approach which is applied research with case studies. The researchs location is in Management Economics departments Students of economics and business faculty of UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur. The data sources are students, lecturers and administrative staff in Management Economics department. Primary data are questionnaire results and data from interviews. Secondary data are from documents, observation data, and media. The implementation of data collection in the field is regulated through the following strategies, (a) the determination of informants by purposive sampling (for key informants) and snow ball for informant development, (b) interviewing informants, (c) taking notes, (d) asking descriptive and structural question, 5) conducting interview analysis, (e) making domain analysis, (f) finding themes according to the research problem, (g) surveying to students. The research checks the data validity by using data source triangulation techniques. The research conclusions are formulated a critical literacy model that can be applied by economics management study program Management Economics departments students in preparing Final Project to avoid plagiarism; 1) students prepare topics; 2) students look for references that are relevant to the topic; 3) students start to compile scientific papers (Final assignment) with the correct paraphrasing, quotation, and citation/bibliography techniques; 4) check plagiarism; 5) Similarity tolerance with maximum of 30%; and 6) Final assignment avoids plagiarism.

Abstract

This article discusses the analogical reasoning of students' types in solving trigonometric problems based on cognitive styles. This research was conducted at MAN I Probolinggo, eighteen students was asked to complete cognitive style tests and math ability tests. It was found that students' answers can be grouped into two types of cognitive styles, namely systematic and intuitive. From each group, one student was taken to be interviewed with the aim of getting a more detailed explanation of each type of analogical reasoning. The results show that the two types can be explained as follows, first, the type of systematic cognitive style, students can understand the problem given, mention in detail all the information that is known and asked, use all known information about the problem, read and understand the problem, map the structure relational problems, applying a structured way to solve problems that have been planned in advance. In the intuitive cognitive style type, students can understand the problem only by reading the problem once, mention some information that is known about the problem, use the information that is known in the problem, read and understand the problem, apply problem-solving methods. pre-planned but unstructured. Therefore, teachers must encourage and enable students to use analogical reasoning optimally in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Many factors influence the low number of skilled vocational high school graduates. One factor that is the leading cause is the lack of instruments that can be used in the learning process, especially authentic instruments, to assess students' abilities in the psychomotor domain. Students who are dominant in the cognitive sphere are not necessarily skilled in the psychomotor realm, especially when using the equipment and making improvements to the brake system. The purpose of this study is to develop an assessment instrument that is appropriate to be used by the teacher in evaluating the psychomotor domain's abilities, specifically for the brake system competency. This research is development research that uses ADDIE models as a reference for research. ADDIE model has five stages of development that need to be considered, including analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementations; and (5) evaluation. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the psychomotor domain assessment instrument for the competency of the brake system that was developed to be suitable for use in the learning process. Feasibility is proven from the results of the validation of experts who get an assessment of 4.66 with a very valid category. The instrument reliability test results that get the Cronbach's alpha value of 0.895, and the value of inter-observer reliability is 0.740. In addition, the instrument is also practical when used in the learning process. This was evidenced by the acquisition of practicality test value of 3.31 and entered in the practical category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of the Embryology and Animal Reproduction textbook integrated with the results of research on developing mouse embryos with the support of DEET (Diethyltoluamide). This research is research Descriptive quantitative with a gradual revision defines the Thiagarajan development model. Data collection techniques are done by distributing questionnaires, observations, and interview. The results showed 80% of abstract animal embryology and reproduction  materials, 80% of teaching materials were less attractive, 85% were difficult to understand, 80% of images were minimal and 85% were teratologies in developing difficult animals. Analysis of the need for textbooks shows that there is no embryology and animal reproduction textbook as a result of research on developing mouse embryos with the help of DEET (Diethyltoluamide).
