Abstract

Epistemology is one of the three branches of philosophy that deals with science besides ontology and axiology. This scientific foundation is related to the use of this knowledge in order to meet human needs. Language and society can never be separated from one another, because where there is society, there is language, and vice versa. The existence of language in society is studied through sociolinguistics, which sees language as a means of communication between community members with variations according to their social sphere. On the other hand, traditional language teaching views language as a system, thus giving birth to structuralist language teaching. During its development, the proponents of the language teaching method realized that language was not just a system, but rather a means of communication, as studied through sociolinguistics. This study discusses the role of sociolinguistics in the development of language teaching, starting from the characteristics of the language community, language functions, to sociolinguistic-based language teaching models. The material in language teaching also reviews the contribution of sociolinguistics in providing language teaching materials from a sociolinguistic point of view. Keywords: Epistemology, Sociolinguistics, Language Teaching

Abstract

The code mix used in the Tajwid Nazom Batu Ngompal book is a distinct characteristic that makes the book unique and interesting. The book is presented in the form of rhymes so that the mixed code has a function as rhyme poems in rhymes. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data from this research are verbal data in the form of writing. The data source is derived from archives or documents, namely the book of Tajwid Nazom Batu Ngompal. Research data in the form of writings in the form of mixed code use. Data collection is carried out by studying archives or documents, take notes. Data were analyzed using interactive analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis collected from the book of Tajwid Nazom Batu Ngompal in the form of mixed language codes that are used in the form of good verbs, adjectives, nouns, phrases, clauses, repetitions and idioms. The dominant form of code mixing used in the book is mixed code of nouns and adjectives.Keyword: Nadzom, Code-Mixing, Tajwid, Sosiolinguistics

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the Sintang Sintang Malay cultural social system; 2) The description of the language system includes the language used by the Sintang people in their daily interactions in order to communicate with each other; 3) A description of the knowledge system that can help the survival of the Sintang Malay community; 4) a description of the Sintang Malay cultural living equipment system in the Sintang Kingdom poem; 5) description of the Sintang Malay cultural livelihood system; 6) description of the Sintang Malay cultural religious system; 7) a description of the Sintang Malay cultural arts system. This study uses a descriptive method, with a qualitative research form. The source of data in this study comes from the verses of the Sintang Kingdom. The results of the study are as follows, the first data concerning the social system contains quotes about the stanzas regarding the aspects of deliberation to reach consensus, both in the inter-work environment, between royal members, and in a smaller environment, namely the nuclear family. used in syair. The third data is a knowledge system which is divided into knowledge of human nature, knowledge of nature, knowledge of objects. The fourth data is about living equipment which is divided into several aspects, namely transportation of ships, bidars, and canoes. The production is cerana, the clothing aspect is clothes, selawar, and songket cloth. There are traditional weapons, namely kris and cannons. The existence of a place to live or shelter, namely awnings, tents and mosquito nets, the existence of a container, namely the existence of a bamboo or lampstand as a place for lamps, as well as food and drink aspects, namely sherbet and juadah water. The sixth data, the religious system has aspects of marriage salvation, thanksgiving celebrations, worship, and the occult. The seventh data, which contains the art system on the sense of sight, the presence of Malay dance and theater and the sense of hearing, the presence of musical instruments typical of the Malay community.Keywords: Culture, Sintang Malay, Sintang Kingdom Poem

Abstract

This research is motivated by the waning of norms of decency and morals. Based on these problems, the purpose of this study is to describe the value of religiosity contained in the novel Merdeka Sejak Hati By Ahmad Fuadi. The research method is descriptive qualitative with content analysis. Data collection technique is literature study with observation. Research stages: searching, reading, listening and taking notes. The results of the analysis show that the value of religiosity includes: faith (tauhid), including faith, piety, and repentance; behavior (morals), including patience, humality, trustworthiness, honesty, sincerity, and discipline; and norms of life (fiqh), including halal, haram, makruh, mubah and sunat.

Abstract

          This study aims to analyze the ability to write poetry in class X IIS-2 SMA Private Nurul Iman Tanjungmorawa in the 2019/2020 academic year. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The population of this study were all students of class X SMA Private Nurul Iman Tanjungmorawa which consisted of 4 classes with a total of 111 students. Sampling was done by means of random sampling technique (random) and selected class X IIS-2 with a total of 25 students. The research instrument used was an essay test. The essay test in question is writing poetry by paying attention to the building blocks of poetry. The results showed that the ability to write poetry based on theme suitability with an average score of 100, diction / choice of words with an average score of 79, images / images with an average score of 53, use of figure of speech / language style with an average score of 47, and the mandate of the average score is 100. So the results show that the students of class X IIS-2 SMA Private Nurul Iman Tanjungmorawa are categorized as quite capable of writing poetry with the average score of the five aspects of the assessment is 75.8 and in the sufficient category.Key Words: Ability, Write, Poetryaspects of the assessment is 75.8 and in the sufficient category.

Abstract

Inclusive learning for students with disabilities is a must that must be done in learning. The purpose of this study is to look at the application of Discovery Learning learning to students with physical disabilities and mild disabilities in the learning process especially in learning advanced speaking skills. The method used is to use the type of development Borg & Gall by using 7 stages which are divided into 3 parts, namely preliminary studies, product development and trials and finalization. The results of this study are Introduction (Rationalization of innovation, Discovery Learning models, Supporting theories of learning model development); Learning model with agreement on Discovery Learning (Discovery Learning learning component and learning model component); and Instructions on the implementation of the learning problem learning model (Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation) equipped with videos of the implementation of learning activities. Abstract

Language is synonymous with culture, accent and meaning in it. As a nation that has many languages, this is of course a complex problem. Differences in meaning in language can certainly hinder communication between one person and another. The purpose of writing this article is to discuss the differences in the language of the Tangerang coastal community and those in the Seribu Islands. The different language is certainly a sign of the diversity that occurs between the Tangerang coastal community and the Thousand Islands. Even though there are differences in language, they can still work together as a symbiotic mutualism. This research is classified into a descriptive qualitative type that describes the results of research using text in explaining the results of the research. Data collection techniques by taking notes, literature review, surveys, and interaction with the surrounding community. Based on research that has been conducted by researchers, there are language differences between the Tangerang coastal community and the people living in the Thousand Islands. This difference occurs because of the influence of their culture and ancestors.Keywords: language diversity; form of language; community culture

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the argument structure of the exposition text in the essays written by students. This research is a type of qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive research. The data in this study is the structure of the argument in the exposition text written by students of SMP. The data analysis method is the  structural analysis  and  content analysis method. The results of this study indicate that there is no exposition text written by students with a complete structure. Argument structure contained in the student's exposition includes the qualifier structure (qualification) in 3 texts, backing (support) is found in 3 texts, claims (claims) are in 1 text, data (data) is in 3 texts.Kata kunci: Argument structure, short story, exposition text

Abstract

Pastoral Literature is a literary theory that offers an environment as a database in a literary work. Currently, the environment is a part of human life that is starting to lose its sustainability. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with reading and note-taking techniques. The results of this study indicate that the spotlight on the environment always comes when a natural disaster occurs, after the disaster has passed the spotlight weakens again so that this problem has no solution. The concept of pastoral literature has a very important role for learning in schools. Pastoral literature is one of the characteristic forms of literary ecocriticism. The selection of pastoral literature is solely to focus students more on instilling a love for the environment. Abstract

Sesenggaq in the culture of the Sasak tribe are everyday expressions used. In Indonesian language terms sesenggaqis same as proverbs. The proverb itself in the Main Indonesian Dictionary is explained as; groups of words or sentences that have a fixed structure, impose specific intentions and are short, compact expressions or sentences, containing comparisons, parables, advice, principles of life or rules of behavior. This paper reveals about the use of "animals" in sesenggaq Sasak, why is that, what is the meaning and function. This is due to the fact that there are quite a number of sesenggaq Sasak that use animals in their expressions.This study used a qualitative descriptive method with researchers as the main data source, because they are native speakers of the language studied. This research is explored using an ethnolinguistics perspective which  focuses on the relationship between language and the views of its speakers.Keyword: Animals, Sesenggaq, Sasak, Ethnolinguistics.
