Abstract

Guidance and Counselling programs play a strategic role in supporting students' holistic development. This study aims to identify the implementation of the BK program at MAN 1 Kota Batam, its challenges, and its impact on student administration.  Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research applied data collection methods through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies with the Team Guidance and Counselling of MAN 1 Kota Batam. The research findings reveal an innovative Guidance and Counselling program implementation, including student orientation services, individual and group counselling, and digital program development such as Co2C (Counselling to Care). Significant innovations include the use of leaf media for emotion management and barcode systems for online consultation. The program's impact encompasses increased mental health awareness, student administration responsiveness, and active student participation. The study concludes that MAN 1 Kota Batam has developed a comprehensive, systematic, and sustainable Guidance and Counselling program. This holistic approach goes beyond problem-solving, empowering student potential through technology integration, experimental methods, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principal supervision on teacher performance mediated by socio-cultural factors. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population of this study is elementary school teachers of the Regional Education Corps of Sindangkasih District, Ciamis Regency which totals 86 teachers. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire through google form media. The data analysis technique uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of Lisrel 8.8 software. The results showed that the supervision of the principal had a significant influence of 70% on teacher performance, but when mediated by socio-cultural, the influence was only 9.8%. This shows that although socio-cultural values, such as work culture, social relationships, and norms in schools, contribute to teacher performance, their role is still relatively small compared to the direct influence of the principal's supervision. These findings show that socio-cultural has not been fully integrated as a strong supporting factor in the relationship between principal supervision and teacher performance.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of maqāṣid asy-syarī‘ah values in the human rights education model at Pesantren Persis 67 Benda, Tasikmalaya, focusing on curriculum and institutional culture. Maqāṣid asy-syarī‘ah, which includes the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property, aligns with universal human rights principles. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through document analysis, observation, and interviews with teachers and administrators. The findings reveal systematic internalization of maqāṣid values through an integrative curriculum and institutional practices. Critical thinking training, moral development, and social-dakwah programs exemplify the Islamic-based implementation of human rights. Challenges include limited student participation in decision-making and tensions between discipline and individual freedom. The study concludes that a maqāṣid-based educational model offers a philosophical and operational foundation for developing a contextual, Islamic approach to human rights that promotes humanistic character formation.

Abstract

The development of economic independence for Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) has become an urgent necessity in facing the dynamic challenges of social and economic change. These institutions are required not only to rely on donations but also to develop productive enterprises to ensure the sustainability of the institution and the empowerment of the surrounding community. The purpose of this study is to examine the strategic role of the Kiai in managing the pesantren's resources through various decisional roles, such as entrepreneur, disturbance handler, resource allocator, and negotiator, as well as their effects on the economic development of the pesantren. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through document analysis, observation of pesantren business activities, and interviews with pesantren managers. The study also analyzed data from pesantren businesses, including sectors such as fisheries, agriculture, mining, and waste processing. The results indicate that the effective leadership of the Kiai in executing decisional roles contributes significantly to the development of enterprises and the economic independence of the pesantren. The success of pesantren economic ventures not only increases revenue but also creates employment opportunities and empowers the local community. The synergy between leadership, resource management, and negotiation with various external parties is the key to creating pesantren that are independent, sustainable, and competitive in a modern context.
