Abstract

The philosophy of education is an effort in the quest to right in the education and knowledge sector. Philosophy of education can also be used inside realizing the ideals education and become a reference in the implementation in education. Progressivism is a flow between the schools of educational philosophy. Flow of progressivism philosophy emphasizes change or progress and experiences to solve student problems. This flow is focused on students rather than the teacher. The flow of progressivism philosophy is the basis and foundation in character education. Expected to character education may useful for students in their lives, especially in solving a problem. Cultivation of character education may be do thru the environment of teachers, parents, and the community. So that the environment becomes an example and role model for students. This study utilizes the literature review research method by searching in the form of books and journals.

Abstract

Fokus tulisan ini menekankan pada posisi perempuan dalam kehidupan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membangkitkan kesadaran perempuan dan mendorong perempuan untuk menjadi tokoh utama dalam kisah hidupnya. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah sastra, pendekatan filosofis antropologi terhadap cerita Ramayana, dan filosofi relasionalitas Armada Riyanto. Wanita selalu dianggap sebagai nomor dua atau tidak lebih unggul dari pria. Cerita di beberapa budaya menampilkan perempuan sebagai orang lain yang dikecualikan. Hal inilah yang tidak disadari oleh wanita, sehingga cenderung hanya berdiam diri, menerima, dan menjadi pemain figur. Sebagian besar dalam kehidupan, perempuan hanya berperan sebagai pendukung, sedangkan peran utama dimainkan oleh laki-laki. Hak dan martabat laki-laki dan perempuan adalah sama. Wanita memikul tugas yang lebih banyak dan lebih berat. Perempuan harus memiliki kesadaran untuk menjadi aktor utama dalam kehidupan, yang bisa mengukir cerita hidupnya sendiri. Perempuan menjadi subjek yang utuh dan menjadi motor penggerak dalam tatanan kehidupan manusia. Kehadiran perempuan dalam kehidupan ini adalah untuk membangun relasionalitas untuk mewujudkan eksistensi manusia sebagai makhluk yang setara.

Abstract

There are many problems when implementing virtual google classroom and TPACK. In accordance with the title of the study, the problem of this research is how to apply a virtual google classroom that is integrated with Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge (TPACK) for Ahmad Yani Jabung's MTS students. Thus, this study aims (1) to determine the implementation of TPACK's integrated virtual google classroom; (2) to find out the obstacles experienced in the process of implementing the TPACK-integrated virtual google classroom; and (3) to find out the efforts made to implement the TPACK integrated virtual google classroom for MTS Ahmad yani jabung students. The approach used is a qualitative research approach with descriptive-qualitative analysis methods. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis with data reduction techniques, data presentation, and verification. After being analyzed using these approaches and methods, the following results were obtained. First, the implementation of the virtual google classroom is carried out by the teacher preparing online lesson plans, uploading accessible materials and assignments for students, preparing power points for presenting material online, and preparing learning videos. Second, the obstacles experienced in implementing the virtual google classroom in online learning are (1) good internet signal, (2) unsupportive weather, (3) not all students have android, and ( 4) not all students understand the material given by the teacher online. Third, the efforts made to overcome the obstacles in implementing the virtual google classroom are (1) students to a place where the internet network can be reached; (2) every month the school provides internet packages; (3) the teacher forms study groups and collects them at the meeting point or student house who has android and good signal; (4) if there are students who do not understand the material given by the teacher, students can ask their parents or siblings. Suggestions for further research are in order to obtain maximum results in conducting research with similar subject matter, accuracy in choosing data sources

Abstract

Innovation in teaching listening is urgently needed. This study resulted the questionnaire survey of students’ needs of listening subject. These results were compared to the students’ mid-term results and Basic Listening learning outcomes. The survey was completed by 100 first-year English Education students. The analysis and comparison were objected to find out the answers of these questions: what barriers obstructed the progress of the students’ listening skill? And what were the students’ listening skills needs? The study found that there is an interstice between students’ needs and the learning got in relating to listening comprehension. Hence, this study expected that the its findings can help to grant preferable understanding of the students’ needs and developing the curriculum properly.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on edutainment in the civic education course for Indonesian Language Study Program students at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Whereas the research target can be used as a role model for citizenship education teachers in Malang in developing edutainment-based interactive learning media in schools. The research development model uses ADDIE which consists of five main phases, namely (A) analysis, (D) essay, (D) development, (I) implementation, and (E) valuation. Analysis (analysis) analyzes the need for the development of new learning media and analyzes the feasibility and requirements for developing new learning media, Design (design) is a systematic process that starts from determining learning themes, learning objectives, selecting media elements such as text, audio, visual and videos, designing learning materials and learning outcome evaluation tools, Development (development) In the development stage, the conceptual framework is realized into a product that is ready to be implemented. Implementation At this stage a learning media design that has been developed in real situations is implemented. namely in class, Evaluation (assessment) Evaluation is used to measure how far students master the learning material. The results of this study indicate that the Edutainment-Based Interactive Learning Media developed in the civic education course using the Android program has valid and feasible criteria for use. Learning carried out by implementing Edutainment-Based Interactive Learning Media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

English materials easily accessed in internet still cannot require the objectives of English subject entirely since the students only browse and read the materials of their interest. The objective of English subject is to make the students mastering in understanding English well which suits to not only the students’ interest but also the students’ english level, and a variety of material on a wide range of topics. Due to the problem stated, this study aims to describe the use English book that can be an alternative resources needed by the students nowadays. As the learning resources of English subject. The book contains the compilation of English materials for Junior High School students of Purnama Gempol.

Abstract

Information and communication technology is a basic human need today. But the IP-ICT index in Indonesia is still low in the sub-index of expertise in using ICT. Indonesia will receive the demographic bonus in 2030-2040. 64% of the people are residents of productive age, if they are not nurtured they will only become unemployed. Increasing skills in using ICT is a way out of these 2 problems. One of the appropriate institutions in improving these skills is the Islamic boarding school, although some Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia are still withdrawing from ICT. An-Nur II Al Murtadlo Islamic Boarding School has more attention on ICT science. all students, almost all of them belong to the pre-employment age group with different backgrounds, some of the things above underlie the author to carry out this research. The formulation of the problem, as well as the objectives of this research, are to find out 1) the implementation of the use of ICT media, 2) the specific strategy in its implementation, 3) the implications of the use of media and the career awareness of students. This type of research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method with three data collection techniques, namely: observation, interviews, and documentation. While analyzing the data using data reduction, displaying data, and drawing conclusions. Research Results: 1) The implementation of the use of ICT media at An-Nur II in developing career awareness of students was carried out well, providing basic knowledge about ICT to students at the student level, then developing skills and applied practice, making the implementation process more organized and well sustainable. 2) The strategy, especially with the implementation of a reward system, then assignments in the realm of boarding school management with ICT elements, 3) The implications of using ICT media on the career awareness of students are considered to have a big influence, being initial capital and basic knowledge about careers in today's almost all of which are supported with ICT.

Abstract

Literary works are creative products born through the author's imagination through a touch of thoughts and ideas. Literary development not only provides entertainment and beauty for readers but also provides knowledge about literary values, such as moral, educational, social, and religious values. The purpose of this study is to determine the morality of the character who has descriptive and normative norms in the novel Dikta & Law by Dhia'an Farah. This research is a literature review research using a content analysis research model. The source of research data comes from a novel entitled Dikta & Law by Dhia'an Farah. This novel was published in 2021 with a total of 388 pages published by Asoka Aksara Loveable. Data collection techniques in this study, namely reading and note-taking techniques. The novel Dikta & Hukum is read as a whole carefully and repeatedly, especially on matters that contain morality. The reading activity was followed by marking certain parts according to the research focus. The results of this study produce character morality related to the teachings of parents which are applied in life, honesty, discipline, and responsibility.

Abstract

Register is a variation of language that is adapted to the context of language use. This study is a study of urban mama registers in the AIMI and HHBF Facebook groups that are studied with sociolinguistics. The research aims to find several things, namely the register function. The researcher uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. The study uses three methods, namely data collection methods, data analysis, and presentation of data analysis. Data collection using the method of listening and note related to the use of urban mom language in conversations in the AIMI group (Association of Indonesian Breastfeeding Mothers) and HHBF (HeathlyHommade Baby Food), data collection was also carried out by in-depth interviews and FGD. Data analysis uses register analysis, which is analyzing the specific vocabulary used in certain jobs or communities. The method of presenting the results of data analysis is an informal method that is using words that are easily understood. The results showed that the urban mama register function in the AIMI and HHBF groups was 1) emotive function, 2) conative function, 3) referential function, 4) fatigue function, and 5) metalingual function.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak-dampak dari surat kabar harian berbahasa Inggris terdap peningkatan literasi profesional dosen. Kebiasaan melek dosen atas berbagai bacaan khususnya bacaaan berbahasa Inggris adalah alasan utama mengapa penelitian ini dilaksanakan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kebiasaan para dosen dalam membaca media massa baik cetak maupun elektronik. Salah satunya dalah dengan berlangganan surat kabar harian The Jakarta Post yang ditulis dalam Bahasa Inggris. Sebagaima penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada bagaimana sesungguhnya membaca surat kabar harian seperti The Jakarta Post dapat memberi kontribusi pada peningkatan literasi profesional, maka metode deskriptif kualitatif dipilih untuk mengetengahkan hasil penelitian yang diharapkan. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris IKIP Budi Utomo Malang yang teridiri atas tujuh belas dosen. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan interview. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, ditemukan bahwa membaca berita harian berbahasa Inggris memberi peningkatan penting bagi literasi profesional. Responden dihadapkan pada bagaimana frasa bahasa Indonesia terungkapan dalam bahasa Inggris. Responden juga tertantang untuk menjadi pembaca yang lebih kritis, baik kritis secara tulisan maupun kritis secara isi. Sementara para responden juga dihadapkan pada kegiatan wajib Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi, surat kabar atau media massa dimanfaatkan sebagai materi suplemen dalam berbagai bidang, baik keterampilan bahasa, sastra atau ilmu kebahasaan itu sendiri. Selain itu, stamina menulis dosen menjadi terpacu yang disebabkan luas dan banyaknya isu bacaan yang diperoleh. Hal ini berdampak pada peningkatan Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi khusunya pada Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi yang ketiga yaitu pengabdian masyarakat, dengan cara berbagi kiat peningkatan kompetensi guru bahasa Inggris di sekolah-sekolah.
