Abstract

Reading is a form of communication, both intrapersonal (with oneself) and interpersonal (with others). This study aims to enhance students’ reading abilities through the use of flash card learning media. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 26 students of class III A at SDN 032 Tarakan in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches by calculating the percentage of learning success. The results of teacher activity observations in Cycle I reached 50% (low category), which improved to 75% (high category) in Cycle II. Meanwhile, student activity observations in Cycle I reached 81.55% (high category), increasing to 89.60% in Cycle II. Reading test results in Cycle I showed that 65.40% of students were at the independent reading level, 15.40% at the developing level, and 19.20% required guidance. In Cycle II, the percentage of students at the independent reading level rose to 80.80%, while those at the developing and guided reading levels decreased to 11.50% and 7.70%, respectively.Membaca merupakan salah satu bentuk komunikasi, baik intrapersonal (dengan diri sendiri) maupun interpersonal (dengan orang lain). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran flash card. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III A SDN 032 Tarakan tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menghitung persentase keberhasilan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi aktivitas mengajar guru pada siklus I sebesar 50% dengan kategori rendah, sehingga dilanjutkan pada siklus II menjadi 75% dengan kategori tinggi. Adapun hasil observasi aktivitas siswa pada siklus I yaitu sebesar 81,55% dengan kategori tinggi, kemudian dilanjutkan pada siklus II menjadi 89,60% dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tes membaca yang dilakukan pada siklus 1, siswa yang berada pada level membaca mandiri dengan persentase 65,40%, pada level membaca berkembang dengan persentase 15,40%, dan level membaca perlu bimbingan dengan persentase 19,20%. Sedangkan pada siklus II, siswa yang berada pada level membaca mandiri meningkat menjadi 80,80%, di level membaca berkembang mengalami penurunan dengan persentase 11,50%, dan pada level membaca perlu bimbingan juga mengalami penurunan dengan persentase 7,70%.

Abstract

Rendahnya prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD di Gugus Sultan Fatah Kabupaten Demak dikarenakan pembelajaran yang dilakukan selama ini kurang inovatif, membuat siswa terjebak dalam rutinitas, banyak menghafal, media pembelajaran kurang, sehingga siswa tidak mengetahui makna atau kegunaan dari materi yang dipelajari. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran Discovery Learning lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pre-test post-test control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD di Gugus Sultan Fatah Kabupaten Demak yang berjumlah 95 siswa. Sedangkan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh sehingga semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji tingkat kesukaran, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji kesamaan rata-rata, uji paired sample T dan perhitungan gain index. Model pembelajaran discovery learning lebih efektif dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa berdasarkan nilai mean 90,0 > 61,45 dan Thitung 12,959 > Ttabel 199897 dengan nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05.

Abstract

Low learning motivation among elementary school students in rural areas is an urgent issue that requires innovative solutions. This study aimed to increase students’ learning motivation through interactive educational games developed with Articulate Storyline 3 in science and social learning (IPAS). The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles involving 17 fifth-grade students at Banyurip State Elementary School, Boyolali Regency. Data were collected using an ARCS-based motivation questionnaire (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction), observation sheets, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in all ARCS aspects, with active student participation increasing from 50% to over 80%. These findings confirm the effectiveness of Storyline 3-based interactive games in fostering motivation. The novelty of this study lies in applying the ARCS model through Articulate Storyline 3 in rural elementary schools, which has rarely been examined in previous research.

Abstract

Based on the results of PISA, Indonesian students' mathematical literacy process skills—particularly in the aspects of representation and using symbolic, formal, and technical language and operations—are still relatively low. This study aimed to analyze students' abilities in mastering the components of the PISA mathematical literacy process. The research employed a descriptive method. The subjects were students of classes IX-1 and IX-2 at SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu during the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The instruments and data collection techniques used in this study included test sheets and interviews. The results showed that 45.45% of students demonstrated proficiency in the representation process, while 49.82% showed ability in using symbolic, formal, and technical language and operations. These results indicate that less than 50% of students in classes IX-1 and IX-2 of SMPN 4 Kota Bengkulu possess adequate skills in these two aspects. Therefore, these abilities still need to be improved.Berdasarkan hasil PISA, kemampuan proses literasi matematika siswa Indonesia dalam aspek representation dan using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan siswa dalam menguasai komponen proses literasi matematika PISA. Penelitian ini merupakan  penelitian deskriptif (Descriptive Research). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX 1 dan IX 2 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, kemampuan proses siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi matematika PISA 2012 sebanyak 45,45% siswa  memiliki kemampuan proses representation dan sebanyak 49,82% siswa  memiliki kemampuan proses using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kurang dari 50% siswa kelas IX 1 dan IX 2 SMPN 4 Kota Bengkulu memiliki kemampuan representation dan using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan tersebut masih perlu ditingkatkan.

Abstract

The growing issues of intolerance and radicalism have prompted the government to adopt religious moderation as a strategic response involving various sectors, including education in schools and madrasahs. This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening students’ moderate character through mathematics learning. The research employs a library research method, with the object of study consisting of relevant literature such as books, scholarly articles, and policy documents related to the topic. The researcher serves as the primary instrument, supported by data cards used to record key findings from the literature analysis. The data analysis technique applied is content analysis. The findings reveal several strategies that can be implemented to foster students’ moderate character, including: (1) Embedding Pancasila values into mathematics content to reinforce national commitment; (2) Applying relevant instructional models and integrating the value of tolerance into mathematics lessons to cultivate a tolerant attitude; (3) Fostering mutual respect by encouraging openness to differing opinions and promoting positive social interactions to prevent radicalism and violence; and (4) Implementing ethnomathematics-based learning to develop an accommodative attitude toward local cultures.  Thus, strengthening moderate character can be achieved through relevant pedagogical approaches and the contextual integration of religious moderation values into mathematics learning.Meningkatnya isu intoleransi dan radikalisme mendorong pemerintah menetapkan moderasi beragama sebagai respons strategis yang melibatkan berbagai elemen, termasuk pendidikan di sekolah dan madrasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi penguatan karakter peserta didik yang moderat melalui pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan (library research). Objek penelitian ini adalah literatur yang relevan, seperti buku, artikel ilmiah, dan dokumen kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan topik kajian. Peneliti berperan sebagai instrumen utama, dibantu kartu data untuk mencatat temuan penting dari analisis literatur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa strategi yang dapat diimplementasikan untuk membentuk karakter moderat peserta didik, antara lain: (1) Menyisipkan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam materi matematika guna memperkuat komitmen kebangsaan; (2) Menerapkan model pembelajaran yang relevan dan mengintegrasikan nilai toleransi kedalam materi matematika guna menumbuhkan sikap toleransi; (3) Membiasakan sikap saling menghormati dengan menghargai perbedaan pendapat dan menciptakan interaksi sosial positif untuk mencegah radikalisme dan kekerasan; serta (4) Menerapkan pembelajaran bermuatan etnomatematika untuk menumbuhkan sikap akomodatif terhadap budaya lokal. Dengan demikian, penguatan karakter moderat dapat diwujudkan melalui pendekatan pedagogis yang relevan serta integrasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama ke dalam pembelajaran matematika secara kontekstual.

Abstract

Bisnis dalam industri perhotelan semakin tumbuh pesat sehingga pengelola restoran dihadapkan pada kondisi pramusaji harus dapat menciptakan kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan terkait kompetensi pramusaji di Arabicana Restaurant dalam menyediakan layanan makanan dan minuman kepada pelanggan. Metode yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan melibatkan delapan partisipan pramusaji di Arabicana Restaurant. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pramusaji Arabicana Restaurant, Hotel Delta Makassar, belum memiliki kompetensi yang memadai sesuai dengan standar yang ditetapkan di Indonesia. Hal tersebut dikarenakan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengalaman kerja pramusaji yang masih terbatas, serta minimnya pelatihan yang terstruktur dan relevan dengan kebutuhan operasional restoran. Oleh karena itu, pramusaji tidak hanya melayani pelanggan tetapi memberikan nilai lebih bagi pelanggan serta pentingnya penyiapan dan penyerapan tenaga kerja yang handal dilakukan melalui serangkaian pelatihan, kursus, maupun pedoman yang jelas.

Abstract

Developing critical skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is crucial for 21st-century education, and STEAM offers a contextual approach to address the lack of higher-order skills in current practice. This study aims to: (1) identify the need to develop a STEAM-based IPAS teaching module, (2) design a STEAM-based IPAS teaching module that suits the characteristics of elementary school students, and (3) produce an initial product of the teaching module that is validated by experts. This study uses the R&D (Research and Development) model from Borg and Gall which is simplified into three stages by Sukmadinata, namely preliminary study, model development, and model testing. This article focuses on the preliminary study and initial product development of the module. Data were obtained through literature studies, interviews, observations and document analysis. The development results produced a STEAM-based IPAS module design which was then validated by material experts, media experts, and linguists. The validation results indicate that the module meets the feasibility for use in fifth-grade elementary school IPAS learning. The developed module is ready for use in a limited trial phase in further research.

Abstract

In the current era, students are required to be able to adapt, think critically, and be able to learn independently. This study aims to improve students' learning independence at the vocational high school level, especially in class XI DPIB SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali by implementing the Problem Based Learning model in the Expertise Concentration subject. This study is a Classroom Action Research with a research design using the Kemmis & McTaggart model. The research subjects used were 27 students of class XI DPIB SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali. Data collection techniques were obtained through observation, documentation and field notes. The collection was carried out through two cycles and one pre-cycle. Data analysis used is a descriptive analysis technique sourced from the results of observations. The results of the observations showed an increase in learning independence from 37.0% in the pre-cycle, 55.6% in the first cycle, and 77.8% in the second cycle. Students showed positive developments in aspects of initiative, responsibility, perseverance, and confidence in completing tasks. The implementation of the PBL model has been proven effective in increasing student learning independence at SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali.Dalam era saat ini, siswa dituntut untuk dapat beradaptasi, berpikir kritis, dan mampu belajar secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa pada jenjang SMK khususnya di kelas XI DPIB SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning dalam mata pelajaran Konsentrasi Keahlian. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis & McTaggart. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas XI program keahlian DPIB di SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali berjumlah 27 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data didapatkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan. Pengambilan dilakukan melalui dua siklus dan satu pra-siklus. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif yang bersumber dari hasil observasi. Hasil observasi menunjukkan peningkatan kemandirian belajar dari 37,0% pada pra-siklus, 55,6% pada siklus pertama, dan 77,8% pada siklus kedua. Siswa menunjukkan perkembangan positif dalam aspek inisiatif, tanggung jawab, ketekunan, serta kepercayaan diri dalam menyelesaikan tugas. Penerapan model PBL telah terbukti efektif dalam peningkatan kemandirian belajar siswa di SMK Ganesha Tama Boyolali.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dialami oleh semua kalangan termasuk ibu-ibu dan memberi dampak negatif, salah satunya perilaku phubbing yang merusak kualitas komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kontribusi empati terhadap perilaku phubbing pada ibu. Penelitian ini melibatkan partisipan sebanyak 387 ibu yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling, dengan Instrumen penelitian disusun berdasarkan teori phubbing dari Karadağ (2015) dan empati dari Malakcioglu (2022) serta data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Secara simultan, memperoleh hasil terdapat kontribusi empati terhadap perilaku phubbing pada ibu sebesar 4% (sig. = <0,001, r2 = 0,04). Secara parsial memperoleh hasil terdapat kontribusi dimensi cognitive behavior terhadap perilaku phubbing pada ibu. (sig. = 0,001). Meskipun secara umum kontribusi empati terhadap perilaku phubbing kecil, dimensi cognitive behavior turut berperan penting dalam kontribusinya terhadap perilaku phubbing pada ibu.

Abstract

Dalam pendidikan peserta didik memiliki keberagaman karakteristik seperti perkembangan kognitif, perkembangan sosial emosional, perkembangan moral dan spiritual, motivasi belajar, gaya belajar, karagaman suku hingga minat belajar. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS melalui implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di kelas VI materi rangka manusia. Penelitian melibatkan peserta didik kelas VI berjumlah 16 peserta didik yang terdiri dari 5 laki-laki dan 11 perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik dan alat pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis hasil tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam proses pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VI SD Negeri Tegalayu. Hasil ketuntasan akhir sebesar 100% setelah menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan berdiferensiasi meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VI SD Negeri Tegalayu.
