Abstract

This training aims to enhance the creativity, productivity, and economic well-being of rural communities by developing skills in ecoprint making. The activity is designed as an effort to empower the community, especially women, so that they are capable of producing marketable products. The training method combines theoretical material delivery with hands-on practice, allowing participants to both understand the basic concepts of ecoprint and apply them in real life. The primary target of this activity is the women of the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) in Ponowareng Village, who have great potential to become agents of change in developing family-based economic initiatives. The ecoprint training in Ponowareng Village was carried out through stages of planning, preparation of materials and tools, and the selection of a suitable venue. The program targets PKK women as the main participants, with the goal of improving their skills and creativity in producing marketable goods. The training method involves a combination of material presentations and live demonstrations. Participants practiced the ecoprint process from arranging leaves to soaking the fabric in an alum solution. The outcomes of the training are expected to foster entrepreneurial potential and improve community welfare. Keywords: ecoprint; entrepreneurship; creativity

Abstract

Stunting is one of the major public health issues in Indonesia that requires serious attention from various stakeholders. It is a growth and developmental disorder in children caused by chronic malnutrition, recurrent infections, and inadequate psychosocial stimulation. Children are classified as stunted if their height-for-age is below minus two standard deviations from the World Health Organization (WHO) child growth standards. One of the community-level strategies to prevent and reduce stunting is the consumption of nutritious foods rich in protein and fiber, such as shrimp croquettes. Shrimp croquettes are a nutritious, easy-to-make household food product that holds potential as an alternative dietary solution in efforts to combat stunting in Indonesia. This community engagement program focuses on empowering local residents through training in the preparation of shrimp croquettes as an affordable and practical healthy food option. The program is expected not only to enhance participants’ understanding of balanced nutrition in stunting prevention but also to encourage the adoption of sustainable and independent healthy eating practices. Evaluating changes in community knowledge and behavior regarding nutrition before and after the program is essential to measure the effectiveness of the intervention and to inform the development of future community service initiatives. Abstract

Abstrak Kejahatan jalanan/ klitih telah menjadi masalah serius dalam hal keamanan masyarakat. Klitih berasal dari bahasa Jawa yang mempunyai arti berjalan jalan atau cari angin. Namun sekarang klitih berubah makna dan juga arti menjadi kegiatan negatif, kejadian seperti ini karena faktor lingkungan remaja yang tidak baik dalam pergaulan. Kejahatan jalanan klitih sekarang sudah banyak mengakibatkan luka berat hingga kematian. Oleh karena itu, Kapolda DIY mengenalkan program "ibu memanggil", di mana ibu harus menghubungi anaknya hingga 10 kali, jika sulit dihubungi, dan jika tidak ada balasan, segera berkoordinasi dengan Polri atau TNI, termasuk Bhabinkamtibmas dan Babinsa. Kegiatan sosialisasi hukum “Program Ibu Memanggil” dalam rangka pengabdian masyarakat bagi dosen UWM bekerjasama dengan pemerintah Kalurahan Giripurwo, Girimulyo, Kulonprogo telah dilaksanakan pada 13 Februari 2025. Berdasarkan assesment yang dilakukan di wilayah Giripurwo ternyata kasus ini sudah menyasar sekelompok pelajar SMP . Mereka terbiasa merokok, minum minuman keras bahkan menantang kelompok lain untuk berkelahi/tawuran. Untuk itu perlu upaya prefentif guna mencegah agar kasus kejahatan jalanan tidak terjadi di wilayah ini. Pada sesi tanya jawab ditemukan beberapa pertanyaan dan informasi dimana di wilayah ini terindikasi kenakalan remaja sudah mulai ditemukan di masyarakat, terbukti dari pertanyaan maupun informasi dari peserta diskusi. Dengan adanya kegiatan sosialisasi hukum dengan tema Sosialisasi Hukum “Program Ibu Memanggil” Dalam Mencegah Kejahatan Jalanan/Klitih Di Giripurwo, Girimulyo, Kulonprogo ini diharapkan peran serta dari seluruh elemen warga masyarakat , pemerintah Kalurahan Giripurwo, Polsek dan Koramil Girimulyo melalui Babinkamtibmas maupun Babinsa bersama sama mewujudkan wilayah Giripurwo terbebas dari kejahatan jalanan /Klitih, sehingga hak masyarakat atas rasa aman dan nyaman bisa terwujud. Abstract

The development of product diversification based on empon-empon by the Seger Waras Agricultural Industry Group (KITSW) in Kedungkeris Village, Nglipar District, Gunungkidul Regency, faces several challenges, particularly in post-harvest handling, standardized herbal product processing, and conventional marketing strategies. Through the Community Partnership Program (PKM), the implementing team provided solutions via several forms of assistance: 1) training and mentoring in optimal post-harvest handling of empon-empon 2) training and mentoring in the production of simplisia and functional beverages based on empon-empon, and 3) training and mentoring in business management and digital marketing strategies. As a result of the program, proper post-harvest handling and processing practices were successfully implemented, leading to the production of simplisia and functional beverages under the brand “Saras Kasuri Toga”. Marketing efforts were also improved, not only through conventional methods but also via technology-based platforms such as the website https://kedungkeris-mart.com). This program has contributed to enhancing the competitiveness and welfare of the farmer group in managing their business, strengthening local food security, and creating new employment opportunities for the surrounding community. Abstract

Pemasaran digital telah menjadi strategi krusial bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) "Bunga Padi" di Dusun Blawong II, Bantul, menghadapi tantangan pemasaran produk olahan gadung akibat persepsi negatif konsumen terhadap umbi gadung yang dikenal beracun. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pemasaran digital. Metode yang digunakan meliputi identifikasi permasalahan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi menggunakan desain pretest-posttest pada 15 responden. Hasil analisis dengan uji T berpasangan menunjukkan nilai p-value 0,0024, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pengetahuan dan keterampilan digital marketing sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa program ini sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas pemasaran mitra. Diharapkan, penerapan digital marketing secara konsisten dapat meningkatkan nilai produk, memperluas akses pasar, dan menjamin keberlanjutan usaha pangan lokal KWT Bunga Padi. Abstract

KUBE Kamboja in Kelurahan Banjarsari, Surakarta faces obstacles such as low digital literacy, limited capital, and limited market access. This Beginner Community Empowerment Program aims to encourage women's entrepreneurship and create women-friendly jobs in the development of creative industries in the form of regional souvenirs. The PMP approach integrates training in information technology, entrepreneurship, licensing management (PIRT), digital marketing, and product diversification of souvenirs based on local wisdom. The program results show an increase in KUBE members' understanding of the importance of entrepreneurship and product marketing strategies, which has implications for the progress of MSME businesses. By strengthening the institutional capacity of KUBE through PKM, it is hoped that women will have equal access to economic opportunities and decent work. It is hoped that this program can be replicated by other KUBE and contribute to sustainable women's economic empowerment strategies.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to empower the Migunani Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Donomulyo Village, Nanggulan, Kulon Progo, through the implementation of intercropping syste, of sweet corn and vegetable soybeans based on zero-waste farming practices. The program employed two main methods: socialization and participatory mentoring over six months, involving 35 members of the group. The socialization stage focused on the concepts of incropping and the utilization of crop residus as organic fertilizer, while mentoring activities included demonstration plots and field monitoring. The results showed that the intercropping system implroved lan-use efficiency and produced 485 kg of sweet corn and 420 kg of green fodder from 400 m2 of land. This initiative not only enhanced the income and economic independence of women farmers but also fostered awerness of sustainable agriculture through zero-waste practices. The empowerment model developed in this program has strong potential to be replicated by other farmer groups in the Kulon Progo region.

Abstract

Abstract — The production of citronella in the Giring forest area involves Women’s Farmer Groups (KWT) and Forest Farmer Groups (KTH), who cultivate the plant in large quantities. Through an experimental approach, a simple essential oil distillation unit was constructed, followed by a production trial. The trial resulted in the extraction of crude essential oil with economic value. This activity has provided direct benefits to KWT and KTH by enhancing their knowledge and skills in processing citronella into essential oil, while also creating new opportunities to increase income and improve the local community’s economy. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai diversifikasi olahan buah pepaya menjadi berbagai produk pangan bernilai tambah. Program dilaksanakan bersama Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Rukun Kunden, Sidoluhur, Godean, Sleman. Tidak hanya berfokus pada produksi keripik pepaya yang sebelumnya telah dihasilkan mitra, tetapi juga mengembangkan produk lain seperti manisan basah, manisan kering, dan selai. Metode kegiatan meliputi pemaparan teori mengenai Cara Produksi Pangan Olahan yang Baik (CPPOB), teknik pengemasan, serta manajemen usaha, yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktik langsung pembuatan manisan basah berupa cocktail pepaya. Melalui kegiatan ini, peserta memperoleh pengalaman dalam praktik pengolahan, pengemasan, serta penyimpanan produk agar siap dipasarkan. Peserta juga diharapkan mampu menyebarkan pengetahuan tersebut kepada masyarakat sekitar. Evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan peserta sebesar 89,5%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian telah memberikan nilai tambah sesuai dengan harapan anggota KWT. Kata Kunci: Pepaya, Proses Pengolahan, Manisan Basah, KWT.
