Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the Self-Regulated Learning of Arabic Language Education students at the Universitas Islam Riau. The research method used is a descriptive analysis using the percentage of the Self-Regulated Learning questionnaires through the Moodle discussion forum, which consists of five aspects, that is discipline, confidence, motivation, initiative, responsibility, with a sample of forty-four students. The validity test results using the SPSS 20. There are eight invalid and seventeen valid questions from the twenty-five indicator items after the validity test, so the researchers only used the right questions to test the research object. Based on the Cronbach's Alpha value in the reliability statistics table, a matter of 0.840, this can conclude that these results have a very high level of reliability. The study results indicate that the Self-Regulated Learning of Arabic Language Education students at the Universitas Islam Riau is pretty good in the aspects of self-confidence with a score of 65.7%, aspects of discipline with a score of 72.2%, and aspects of responsibility with a score of 73.1%, And not good in the part of the initiative with a score of 55.1% and motivational elements with 63.8%.

Abstract

The implementation of Arabic learning activities at State Islamic Junior High School of 2 Jakarta, especially during the Covid-19 period, was carried out online or distance learning. But in addition, the problem faced is that the teacher uses the lecture method so that learning becomes boring because students are only listeners. As a result, it affects students' interest in teaching Arabic because it is considered monotonous. The purpose of this research is to developing the SI UJE Arabic Adventure Game based on Android and to find out its validity, practicality and effectiveness. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE research model. The results of the validation questionnaire by media experts are 88% and material experts are 97% and both are in the very good category. Then the teacher's response was 92% and the students of grades 84 and 85 were 98% and 95% and all of them were in the very practical category. The test results for students in grade 84 are 100% and 88.8%, while for students in grade 85 are 100% and 83% are categorized as very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate about online Arabic language learning at MAN 1 Gunungkidul based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Islamic Education by No. 2791 of 2020 on Emergency Curriculum Guidance at School with the Countenance Stake model. The Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study are: 1) the learning plan is in the form of RPP content with an online model on Arabic language learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at MAN 1 Gunung kidul falls into the very good category (84%), 2) the implementation of Arabic learning with online models on Arabic language learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at MAN 1 Gunungkidul is in very good category (82%), 3) Assessment of Arabic learning with online model on Arabic learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at MAN 1 Gunungkidul is in the good category (75.26%).

Abstract

An online-based kalam learning program at al-Azhar course institution, which has been implementing an online Arabic language program since before the pandemic of the Covid-19, was the primary focus of this study, which examines the execution of this program during the pandemic. These findings are the result of a form of a qualitative study. Interviews, observation, and documentation are employed to gather data. The data sources for this research include various informants, the implementation process of the online Kallimni program, and al-Azhar course institution papers linked to the online Kallimni program. When it came to analyzing the data, the researchers followed Miles and Huberman's recommendations to reduce the data, visualize it, and make conclusions. Using WhatsApp and Instagram, the online Kallimni program could well be implemented. In this online Kallimni program, the learning is project-based and themed. The online Kallimni program included both motivating and stifling features identified by the researchers. As a result of this study, teachers and students must engage in conversation to master the speaking skill (mahārah kalām). Teachers should thus use additional technologies as Google meet, Zoom, or Skype to help students learn speaking skills (mahārah kalām) more diversely and visibly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need to develop a model of Arabic teaching materials containing the values ​​of multicultural-based character education, especially in Indonesian Foreign Schools (Sekolah Indonesia Luar Negeri) in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Makkah. In this needs analysis, the researcher describes the data obtained from the questionnaires of students and teachers who teach Arabic subjects with 39 respondents. This study indicates that Arabic teaching materials in Indonesian Foreign Schools, especially in Arab countries, need to be developed. Developing Arabic teaching materials with multicultural values ​​is very important to make learning Arabic at Indonesian Foreign Schools easier, more effective, fun, and produce Indonesian diaspora students who have a spirit of nationalism and respect plurality. The development of these teaching materials is manifested in three aspects, namely (1) related to Arabic language teaching materials based on the values ​​of national character education by learning objectives and contextual with the times; (2) aspects of application technology, namely by developing Arabic teaching materials equipped with multimedia learning media such as audio, video, animation, and others to make it easier to learn; (3) aspects of character education, namely Arabic teaching materials that contain character education values, such as religious values, nationalism, honesty, independence, cooperation, integrity, hard work, and responsibility

Abstract

This research aims to describe the vernacularization process of Arabic grammar by studying the books that discuss the nahwu-sharaf rules translated by KH. Ahmad Muthahar of Mranggen Demak. There are several reasons that made KH. Ahmad Muthahar translate a lot of Arabic grammar books. These include: book writing movement was an academic culture that had long been built by Arab scholars and scholars of the Archipelago, to maintain and preserve the Javanese language literature written in the Pegon script, and to make it easier for the santris (students of the pesantren) and the public to learn the rules of Arabic. The sociolinguistics approach is used for this study. This study is a library research, the data of which were collected through listening, surveying and note-taking method. The data were analyzed for their content (content analysis). The study found that KH. Ahmad Muthahar’s efforts to vernacularize the Arabic grammar in his books include: vernacularization of the grammatical symbols in order to understand text structure, vernacularization of the I’rab narration, vernacularization of the particles of the Arabic letters, localizing the change of meanings caused by changes of word forms (morphology).

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the methods used in Natiq book in developing sentences, bound expressions, free expressions, and constructing paragraphs in Arabic papers. Natiq book is an alternative learning source for learning maharah kitabah (writing skills) in the millennial era. This research used descriptive analysis methods with the type of library research that utilizes library sources to obtain research data. This study reveals that emerge from this research are developments in learning maharah kitabah, especially first, in writing Arabic expressions; second, constructing sentences; third, bound expressions, free expressions, and fourth, constructing paragraphs in Arabic papers. The conclusion is that the Natiq book volume 3, which is recommended by the Qatar mutanadzir (debater) and Saudi Arabian Sheikh and the Indonesian mawapres (Indonesian most outstanding student), can be used as an alternative learning materials/source for developing maharah kitabah in Arabic language learning today, especially for Islamic college students in the Arabic Language Education study program. From the results of the analysis of this textbook, it is clear that the Natiq method book volume 3 can bring a solution to the problems of developing maharah kitabah in Arabic language learning today, especially for Islamic college students.

Abstract

Outcome-based education (OBE) clearly puts the ‘learning outcomes’ that match the needs of profession atmosphere over the ages. Meanwhile, oral communication is one of the language skills that have been of interest to most professional fields out there. The International Islamic University Malaysia has been enduring OBE for years. An educational system is one of the predisposing and exciting elements for developing skills nonetheless language skills to some extent, as it may prepare the learners to practicing and developing language skills among themselves. Hence, the study aims to cover the educational activities useful for the learner in the outcome-based education to develop communication skill. It seeks to find out how useful the activities are to develop the learner's communication skill. The researchers relied on the descriptive survey method in conducting the study. The researchers conducted this study on 234 learners, by using a set of aquestionnaire adopted from past studies to look into learners’ views towards development of oral communication skill among them through certain learning activities while they endured OBE. The study concluded that all these activities benefited the learners in developing the skill in many aspects that were clarified in the study result.

Abstract

Students' understanding of Arabic vocabulary is one of the benchmarks for success in learning. The absence of the use of innovative and interactive learning media causes the Arabic learning process to be suboptimal. This study uses the educandy platform as a learning media to facilitate students in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the educandy platform in improving understanding of Arabic vocabulary. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experiment which aim of knowing whether there is an effect of giving or treating the research subject. The research instruments used for data collection were questionnaires and tests. The data presented in this study uses paired sample t-test analysis techniques and the N-Gain formula using pre-test and post-test scores. The results of this study describe a fairly high difference between the pre-test average value of 44.66 and post-test 85.17, there is a difference in the average learning outcomes between the pre-test and post-test with a sig value of 0.000 < 0,05, the effectiveness results with the N-Gain formula of 0.73 are included in the "high" category. Therefore, the educandy platform is quite effectively used to improve understanding of Arabic vocabulary.

Abstract

Social media grows very fast and it has an impact on the high intensity of users in social interaction. One of the media that is often exposed is Instagram, it encourages Arabic learning lecturers to internalize it in learning. Thus, this study aims to investigate the effectiveness of Instagram on the Arabic speaking skills of STAI Sabili Bandung students and analyze verbal language errors. The quantitative data in the form of pre-test and post-test results were analyzed through experimental methods. Meanwhile, the qualitative data were analyzed by using the inductive method to classify verbal language errors. The findings show that the speaking skills of STAI Sabili Bandung students have a positive significant increase in using Instagram as a means to develop Arabic speaking skills, but there are still errors in spoken language productivity such as vocabulary errors, sentence arrangement, and phrasing errors that are in accordance with the context of the sentence. The findings show that there is positive effect on Arabic speaking skills through the application of Instagram media evidenced by the significance value of Two-Sided p of <0.001 <0.05. The limitation of this study is the small sample size. So, it can hardly be generalized to a larger population. The researcher recommends further research to explore more detailed information with various research methods.
