Abstract

This study aims to implement the GLCM (Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix) and KNN (K-Nearest Neighbor) methods in the classification of fiber root species based on leaf images. Fibrous roots are the most common root type in certain plants, and classifying plant species based on leaf image can provide useful information in contacting plants. The GLCM method is used to extract texture features from leaf images. The GLCM matrix describes the relative occurrence of pixel pairs with different gray intensities in the image. These features can provide information about leaf texture that can be used in classification. Furthermore, the KNN algorithm is used to classify plant types based on the extracted features. The dataset used in this study consists of a number of leaf images representing several different types of fiber root plants. Image processing includes pre-processing to obtain a clean image and ensure consistency of image size. After feature extraction using the GLCM method, these features are used as input for the KNN algorithm. KNN is used to classify unknown leaf images into one of the plant classes that have been previously trained. The experimental results show that the GLCM and KNN methods can provide good results in the classification of fiber root plant species based on leaf images. High classification accuracy indicates the effectiveness of this method in identifying plant species based on textural features of leaf images. Thus, this method can be a useful tool in the field of plant recognition and other applications that involve identifying plant species based on leaf images

Abstract

This research aims to explore how students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta interpret and understand the message of self-confidence in the Somethinc X Lifni Sanders advertisement. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding reception analysis model, this study focuses on how the advertisement's content, featuring models with diverse skin tones and hair types, conveys a message about inner beauty. Through in-depth interviews with students, this research seeks to comprehend how this message is received, understood, and translated by the young audience, and how it influences their perceptions of the concept of self-confidence. The findings of this study are expected to provide deeper insights into how advertisements can play a role in shaping and responding to views on beauty and self-confidence among today's youth

Abstract

The development of the business world today has given rise to various challenges and competition that must be faced by MSMEs. MSMEs need contributions from their employees, who can play an active role so that the MSME company can survive and be able to compete. For this reason, employees are required to always be disciplined in complying with company regulations and policies so that the company continues to exist and develop. This research aims to determine the influence of leadership example, remuneration and punitive sanctions on the development of MSMEs. The respondents in this research were 30 employees of Pia RB MSMEs in PIA Waru village, Gempol District, Pasuruan, using multiple linear regression. From the anova test or F test, it was obtained that the calculated F was 3,528 with a significance value of 0.029 <0.05, which means that leadership example, remuneration and punitive sanctions simultaneously have a significant influence on the development of MSMEs. The results of the analysis on the remuneration variable obtained the highest t count, namely 2.627 and the significance value was 0.014, which was the most significant compared to the other variables. So the remuneration variable is stated as the variable that has the most dominant influence on the MSME development variable

Abstract

The impact of the global pandemic on the hospitality industry has been significant, with notable fluctuations in room occupancy rates during the pandemic. This undoubtedly has a significant impact on the revenue of hospitality companies. In order to ascertain the financial resilience of hospitality service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2019-2023, researchers conducted a study entitled 'Predicting Financial Distress in Hospitality Companies Listed on the IDX (2019-2023) with the Altman Z-Score Model'. This study employed a descriptive approach with quantitative methods, utilising 10 samples of hospitality service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.  The findings of this study indicate that the impact of the pandemic has had a significant effect on the financial health of hospitality companies. This is demonstrated by the findings of the Altman Z-Score model, which was used to predict the likelihood of bankruptcy for hospitality companies. The results demonstrate that the proportion of companies experiencing financial distress increased from 10% in 2019 to 40% in 2023. In 2019, financial distress was observed in only 10% of companies, while in 2020, the onset of the pandemic in Indonesia led to an increase to 20%. This figure continued to rise, reaching 40% by 2023.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the effectiveness of BRILink services on financial inclusion and financial wellbeing. In addition, we examined the effects of mediation where financial inclusion is treated as a mediator in this model. This study used a specific sampling method known as purposive sampling and a sample size of 101 participants from East Nusa Tenggara Province. The data was collected through a google forms questionnaire from June 24 to July 23, 2024 and distributed online among BRILink users. Analyze the data using the PLS (partial least squares) technique from SmartPLS 3. The results show that the effectiveness of BRILink services has a positive and significant effect on financial inclusion and financial wellbeing. Financial inclusion does not function to mediate the effect of the effectiveness of BRILink services on the financial wellbeing of the community. The implication is that improving the quality of financial services and financial education is more important to improve the financial welfare of the people of NTT than simply expanding access to financial services.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of transformational leadership style, work life balance and job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in nurses at Muhammadiyah Mardhatillah Randudongkal Hospital. This type of research is quantitative with a sample of 105 nurses. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a saturated sampling approach. The analysis method uses Smart PLS version 4.0. Based on the research results, several conclusions are obtained: Transformational Leadership Style (X1) has a positive and insignificant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y), Work life balance (X2) has a positive asnd significant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y) , Job Satisfaction (X3) has a positive and insignificant effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Y). The results of this researcher show that transformational leadership style and job satisfaction have a positive and insignificant influence on organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, further research could add other variables to strengthen the relationship between transformational leadership style, job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior.
