Abstract

The rise of IT technology in airports has highlighted the need for personnel equipped with digital skills to manage modern aviation operations effectively. This study investigates whether the current workforce possesses adequate IT competencies by conducting field observations at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) and interviews with its staff and general manager. The findings emphasize the pivotal role of IT skills in enhancing safety, streamlining operations, and delivering superior service quality. However, significant barriers, such as limited resources, resistance to change, and the absence of standardized frameworks, hinder the development of these competencies. The study proposes tailored training programs that integrate IT skill development into routine staff training and emphasizes the creation of a structured digital competency curriculum framework for ground-handling professionals. These results underscore the urgent need for digital competency development in the aviation sector, aligning with global trends that prioritize IT in improving reliability and safety standards. Addressing these gaps is imperative for fostering a resilient and adaptable workforce capable of meeting the industry's evolving technological demands

Abstract

This study examines the effect of work-family conflict and work-life balance on employee performance with job stress as a mediating variable in employees of the Directorate General of Health Personnel of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The main problem identified is employees' challenges in managing their time and roles at work and personal life, which results in increased stress and decreased performance. The purpose of this study is to explore how work-family conflict and work-life balance affect employee performance, considering the role of job stress as a mediator. The study used quantitative methods with an associative approach, involving 500 employees of the Directorate General of Health Personnel in 2023. The results showed that work-family conflict has a significant effect on job stress (t-statistic 4.928) and employee performance (t-statistic 3.649). Work-life balance does not have a significant direct effect on performance (t-statistic 1.561), but affects performance through the mediation of job stress (t-statistic 2.599). Job stress proved to be an important mediator that affects the relationship between work-family conflict, work-life balance, and employee performance

Abstract

The service desk plays a significant part in implementing Information Technology Service Management (ITSM).  However, there are some hurdles to its execution.  Currently, there are several ITSM standards and frameworks accessible.  However, its application is not simple. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the characteristics of the IT Service Desk standard or framework. The Study of Similarity of Models and Standards (MSSS) method was used in this study. Starting from selecting standard selection criteria or frameworks, analyzing to find similarities and differences, to presenting results. There are four selected standards or frameworks, namely ITIL V3, ITIL 4, ISO/IEC 20000, and COBIT 2019. All of them define the same process regarding the implementation of the IT Service Desk. However, all of them have specificity. COBIT 2019 defines processes related to the IT Service Desk, namely DSS 02 and DSS 03. While ITIL V3 and ITIL 4 provide more detailed explanations related to the procedures of each process. ITIL V3 also defines how to build an IT Service desk, both in terms of organizational structure and role requirements. Meanwhile, ISO 20000:2018 provides an overview of how an organization is to comply with the standard

Abstract

This research discusses the role of leaders in strategic decision-making in companies, focusing on strategy implementation and the influence of leadership styles on strategic decisions. The purpose of this study is to analyze how transformational, transactional, democratic, and autocratic leadership styles influence the decision-making process and its outcomes. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with a literature review, which collects, analyzes, and synthesizes information from various scientific sources related to strategic management and leadership. The results show that transformational leadership style has a significant positive influence on decision-making effectiveness, as it can increase employee motivation and engagement. Meanwhile, the transactional leadership style is more effective in short-term decision-making, and the democratic style is less effective in strategic decision-making because leaders are not actively involved in the process. At the same time, the autocratic style is highly dominated by the leader in determining decisions in the company. This study also concluded that leaders who can adapt their leadership style to the dynamics of the organizational situation can improve the performance and long-term competitiveness of the organization. These findings provide insights for companies in choosing the right leadership style to support the implementation of corporate social responsibility and more effective decision-making

Abstract

Identity conflicts based on ethnicity, religion, race, and inter-group (SARA) have become a significant challenge in human resource management (HR) in Indonesia, especially in the context of multiculturalism. Identity politics that seep into organizations often create polarization that disrupts harmony and work productivity. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method in several multicultural organizations in Indonesia. Data collection in this study was carried out through a literature review that included a study of various organizational policies related to diversity and inclusion, as well as an analysis of the results of previous studies on human resource management (HR) in the context of multiculturalism. This approach aims to understand the main factors that influence identity conflict in the workplace, including the role of policies, organizational dynamics, and relevant management strategies. The study found that identity conflict in the workplace is triggered by several main factors, namely external identity politics that affect the internal dynamics of the organization, discrimination based on SARA, and leadership that is biased towards certain groups. The impacts of this conflict include decreased productivity, increased turnover rates , and decreased employee welfare. To address this conflict, organizations that successfully implement inclusive leadership, anti-discrimination policies, meritocratic systems, and diversity training are able to create a more harmonious and inclusive work environment. In addition, implementing a work culture that values diversity has also proven effective in reducing polarization in the workplace

Abstract

Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic state, faces chronic logistical challenges, particularly in the frontier, Remote, Disadvantaged, and Border Areas . The purpose of this study is to investigate how service diversification and vertical-horizontal integration strategies can be applied to optimize Indonesia’s maritime logistics programs. Government-initiated programs such as the Sea Toll and Pioneer Shipping aim to reduce regional disparities by subsidizing maritime logistics. However, the effectiveness of these programs is undermined by systemic fragmentation, low return cargo rates, and weak institutional coordination. This literature review evaluates strategic approaches based on service diversification and supply chain integration, drawing from theoretical frameworks including Ansoff’s Matrix, Porter’s Value Chain, Institutional Theory, and the Resource-Based View. By synthesizing recent international studies, this article presents a comprehensive strategy to enhance program impact and support inclusive, efficient maritime connectivity in Indonesia. The findings highlight the importance of integrating digital logistics systems, expanding multimodal service access (such as LCL and reefer logistics), and aligning institutional coordination across stakeholders. These strategies reduce cost disparities and strengthen logistics performance in underserved maritime regions

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the financial ratios of the stock prices of retail companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2020 and 2022 when the COVID-19 pandemic causes economic volatility. The financial ratios in this study include debt-to-equity ratio (DER), return on equity (ROE), and return on assets (ROA). The research methodology used is a quantitative approach using multiple regression analysis. Evaluate the relationship between debt-to-equity ratio (DER), return on equity (ROE), and return on assets (ROA) in stock prices. The second-party data came from the company's audited financial records and was analyzed using SPSS 27. The research findings show that return on assets (ROA) has a positive and significant impact on stock prices. This finding also indicates that companies have been efficient with their assets, which generates profits, which is an important factor in determining stock prices. Return on Equity (ROE) has a positive and significant impact on share price. This is evident from the fact that companies have used efficient asset disposal procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in high profits that can contribute to an increase in stock prices. Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has a significant negative effect on stock prices. It can be seen that companies can optimally manage their finances and silently create favorable financial conditions for the company. This can have an impact on increasing the company's share price. Simultaneously, Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Asset (ROA), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) have a significant influence on stock prices. This research can be applied to Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Asset (ROA), and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) together affect the stock price of retail companies in Indonesia. This information can be useful for investors and financial management for the development of decisions in investment, and it is very important that financial analysis can be used as a guide when developing decisions in investment
