Abstract

This study investigates the effect of gold price volatility and rupiah exchange rate on the stock performance of Antam Public Limited Company during four periods of global uncertainty, namely the US-China Trade War (2018-2020), COVID-19 Pandemic (2020-2022), Russia-Ukraine Conflict (2022-2023), and Israel-Hamas Conflict (2023-2024). Using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), this analysis evaluates the short-term and long-term relationships between these variables based on daily time series data. The results show significant variation in the effects between periods. Gold price volatility has a strong effect on Antam shares during the US-China Trade War (short and long run) and the COVID-19 Pandemic (long run), reflecting gold's role as a safe haven asset. In contrast, the rupiah exchange rate dominated the influence during the Russia-Ukraine Conflict (short and long run), driven by a weakening exchange rate that boosted export earnings. In the Israel-Hamas Conflict, both variables were insignificant, indicating the limited impact of the regional conflict. These findings underscore the dynamics of market responses to global crises, providing new insights into the resilience of mining stocks and strategic implications for investors and policy makers in managing economic risks

Abstract

The study concentrates on the work system: humanistic leadership principles impact how well a leader can lead Generation Z—a highly skilled force in the operation of technology and harbor a particular preference for leadership. This is important because companies can improve employee performance, well-being, and productivity by understanding the leadership needs of Gen Z. The problem in this study is that there are limitations in understanding the extent to which humanistic leadership principles have a significant influence on the effectiveness of leadership in leading Generation Z employees. This research mostly focuses on ways that can be used to implement humanistic leadership to help Gen Z employees improve their performance and well-being. This study applies a quantitative approach as the main tool in collecting information through questionnaires, which are then analyzed using statistics. The Quantitative Method is used to measure how effective humanistic leadership is in Gen Z employees in Karanganyar by testing validity, reliability, normality, heterokedasticity, multicollinearity, F test, T test, determination coefficient test and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS data processing tool. The results of the study showed that the variables of well-being, wisdom, empathy, and responsibility did not have a positive and significant impact on the effectiveness of leading Gen Z employees. Meanwhile, the variables of self-awareness, self-actualization, and fairness have a positive and significant impact on the effectiveness of Gen Z employees

Abstract

PT. Securindo Packatama Indonesia (Secure Parking) is a company that provides parking services at various locations such as offices, hotels, shophouses, and hospitals. This study aims to examine the effect of compensation on employee performance with motivation as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method and involving 40 respondents, the research included tests for normality, validity, reliability, moderation, hypothesis, and goodness of fit. The normality test showed a multivariate value of 0.356 (<2.58), the second-stage validity test confirmed all indicators were valid (estimate >0.50), and the reliability test indicated sufficient reliability with CR >0.70 and AVE >0.50. However, hypothesis testing showed that compensation had no significant effect on performance (p = 0.922), motivation also had no significant effect (p = 0.155), and motivation did not moderate the effect of compensation on performance (p = 0.488). Therefore, it is necessary to explore other variables that may be more relevant in improving employee performance.

Abstract

The leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide remains lung cancer which can be better managed when early and precise diagnosis is achieved to enhance patient outcomes. High-dimensional datasets in medical diagnostics create obstacles for classification because redundant and irrelevant features diminish model accuracy and boost computational complexity. This research investigates how feature selection enhances the performance of lung cancer classification models. The study evaluates Random Forest (RF) and XGBoost as classification models and uses Genetic Algorithm (GA) for feature selection to enhance model efficiency. The GA process ran for 50 generations and reached convergence at the 40th generation which showed that the optimal feature subset had reached stability. Random Forest outperformed XGBoost using GA-based feature selection in a number of parameters, such as accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and AUC-ROC. Random Forest displays superior effectiveness in utilizing optimized feature subsets to achieve enhanced generalization and classification performance over XGBoost. The research stands out because it compares how feature selection affects RF and XGBoost algorithms for lung cancer classification using fixed model settings. The research findings demonstrate the value of integrating RF with GA for feature selection as it offers potential for building both efficient and interpretable lung cancer diagnostic models within medical AI

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the financial feasibility of cultivating catfish using an artificial feed using maggot as source of protein. The indicators used in analyzing financial feasibility are Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Break Event Point (BEP), Payback Period (PP), and Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio). The results of the business feasibility analysis on catfish cultivation are feasible because they meet the criteria that have been applied, namely the NPV with a value of IDR. 3,253,672, an IRR value of 94.58%, a net B/C value of 2.81, a payback period of 1 year and 1 month, and a BEP of 171 kg. The results of the analysis show that cultivating catfish using artificial feed is feasible in all indicators. Therefore, the recommended strategy to increase the advantages of using artificial feed with maggot as source of protein is to provide education and training to the public on how to make and produce artificial feed with maggot as protein source

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of risk oversight committee characteristics on banking risk. This study also investigates the moderating role of digital innovation between the influence of risk oversight committee characteristics on banking risk. Risk oversight committee effectiveness is measured by five key attributes of committee size, independence, financial expertise, risk management expertise, and meeting frequency. Banking risk is assessed across three critical dimensions which are credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk. Digital innovation is operationalized using the Indonesian Digital Innovation Award as a proxy for technological maturity. Samples are 27 publicly listed banks on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2023. The empirical findings reveal that all risk oversight committee attributes are significantly and negatively associated with banking risk, affirming the importance of governance structures in enhancing risk resilience. Furthermore, digital innovation significantly moderates these relationships, amplifying the risk-reducing effects of each committee attributes of size, independence, financial expertise, risk management expertise, and meeting frequency. These results underscore the synergistic value of integrating governance mechanisms with digital transformation initiatives. The study contributes to the literature by bridging corporate governance and financial technology in a risk management context, and offers practical recommendations for regulators and bank executives to strengthen oversight functions in the digital era
