Abstract

ABSTRACT-In improving students' reading comprehension in online learning, it can be done by using the social media YouTube. The use of YouTube to encourage students' enthusiasm for learning during a pandemic can be a solution for the world of education so that it can continue and develop. This study aims to determine the benefits of using Youtube and the obstacles that occur in the use of Youtube in online learning in improving students' reading comprehension in the online learning model in junior high schools. The results of this study indicate that in improving reading comprehension in learning using this youtube video, it has a positive impact on the student learning process during the pandemic. The benefits provided by learning from YouTube are:improve students' understanding in understanding the material provided, the learning provided becomes more flexible, familiar with technological developments through online learning, and increasing student creativity in learning.the slow internet connection in the students and teachers' areas of residence, the small specifications or performance of the cellphones used by students, the large amount of quota required to access YouTube, and the high price of internet quotas, limited access to computers and smartphones. The solution in overcoming obstacles in online learning is that students will be directed to open the video provided via the video link in the WhatsApp Group directly without switching to the YouTube application even though with a lack of time it takes a little longer but this can overcome the use of internet quota because WhatsApp is included. into the e-learning quota.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa melalui pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) melalui studi independent pada mata kuliah Sanggar Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) dengan melihat interaksi peserda didik dalam proses perkuliahan. Data penelitian ini berupa empat komponen pembelajaran meliputi perencanaan (planning), pelaksanaan (acting), observasi (observing), dan refleksi (reflecting). Subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa aktif Semester III di kelas A yang mengontrak mata kuliah Sanggar Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Setelah dilakukan pengumpulan data, kemudian peneliti melakukan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran PjBL melalui studi independent pada mata kuliah Sanggar Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia menunjukkan peroleh hasil produk belajar mahasiswa yang baik dalam mendesain Rencana Pelaksanaan Semester (RPS) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah dengan mengahasilkan suatu produk berupa buku pedoman.

Abstract

Pendekatan saintifik pada Kurikulum 2013 merupakan suatu upaya peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dengan mengedepankan peran aktif siswa dalam seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran. pendekatan saintifik sesuai dengan pendekatan konstruktivis agar siswa mampu secara mandiri pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta sikap melalui pengalaman belajar secara nyata. Peneliti merumuskan tujuan penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berbicara siswa dengan menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dan pembelajaran KTSP. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dalam memperoleh data dari sampel penelitian dengan melakukan penelitian eksperimen. Peneliti menggunakan metode pengumpulan data tes dan observasi serta menggunakan instrumen pengumpul data yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen. Dalam melakukan analisis data, peneliti menggunakan rumus statistik korelasi product moment dan t-test untuk menjawab hipotesis penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan nilai t pada rumus t-test diperoleh thitung 3,216 dan nilainya jauh lebih besar jika dibandingkan dengan nilai t pada tabel t untuk sampel 30 orang dan taraf signifikan 5% yaitu 1,67. Dengan demikian peneliti sudah dapat membuktikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berbicara siswa menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dan keterampilan berbicara siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran KTSP

Abstract

This study discusses the language errors in the brochure for New Student Admissions for the Sintang District High School level. The errors studied included errors in capital letters, italics, punctuation, diction, and prepositions. This research data is 6 brochures for New Student Admission to the high school level in Sintang Regency. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. Data analysis stages are carried out by collecting data, identifying, classifying, and evaluating errors. The basis used to analyze the data is PUEBI. Of the six brochures, the SMKN 1 Kelam Permai brochure found the most errors. Meanwhile, the fewest errors were found in the SMAN 1 Binjai Hulu brochure.

Abstract

ABSTRAK - Pendidik Bahasa Indonesia dituntut untuk menggunakan Pengajaran Bahasa Komunikatif (Communiative Language Teaching/CLT) untuk membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dengan tepat. Salah satu faktor yang menjadi penyebab kecemasan siswa bahasa yang khawatir adalah kemampuan berbicara. Pendidikan dan pembelajaran sangat bergantung pada komunikasi, oleh sebab itu sangat penting bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara mereka, karena hampir setiap tindakan di kelas memerlukan komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan komunikatif terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas X SMK Unitomo Surabaya. Penelitian dilakukan pada seluruh siswa kelas X SMK Unitomo yang mengikuti pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan pendekatan komunikatif melalui pembelajaran daring, dan didapatkan sampel sejumlah 35 siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatakan kuantitatif jenis kausalitas dan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan regresi linier berganda sederhana dengan SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran daring berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas X SMK Unitomo Surabaya. Kata Kunci: pendekatan komunikatif, pembelajaran daring, kemampuan berbicara ABSTRACK - Indonesian language educators are required to use Communiative Language Teaching (CLT) to assist students in developing the ability to use Indonesian properly. One of the factors that cause anxiety in language students who are worried is the ability to speak. Education and learning are very dependent on communication, therefore it is very important for students to improve their speaking skills, because almost every action in the classroom requires communication. This study aims to examine the effect of using a communicative approach on the speaking ability of class X students of SMK Unitomo Surabaya. The study was conducted on all students of class X SMK Unitomo who took part in learning Indonesian with a communicative approach through online learning, and obtained a sample of 35 students. The research method uses a quantitative approach to causality and data analysis uses descriptive analysis and simple multiple linear regression with SPSS version 23. The results of this study are online learning has a positive and significant effect on the speaking ability of class X students of SMK Unitomo Surabaya. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menulis karya ilmiah melalui pendekatan kolaboratif. subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Prodi Teknologi Laboratorium Medis di Universitas Binawan Jakarta, T.A. 2021/2022, yang mengikuti mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia dengan sub pokok bahasan karya tulis ilmiah, Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Prosedur penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan dengan mengumpulkan data yang relevan, melakukan analisis data, pengalaman mahasiswa yang sudah bekerja sebagai ATLM, dengan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, diskusi dan praktek menyusun karya ilmiah. masalah yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam menulis adalah (1) kurang konsisten antara judul makalah dan isi makalah, (2) kurang tepat merumuskan masalah dan submasalah, (3) pembahasan tiap submasalah kurang terinci, (4) kajian pustaka ada yang kurang relevan dengan masalah dan submasalah, (5) simpulan belum mencerminkan uraian pembahasan masalah, (6) kurang memperhatikan penggunaan EYD, Tujuan penelitian dengan metode kolaboratif ini menjadikan mahasiswa tanggung jawab dan lebih bersemangat dalam mempelajari materi bersama teman satu profesi, sekaligus dapat menyusun karya ilmiah dalam satu kelompok sebagai sarana memahami karya tulis ilmiah sesuai kaidah penulisan karya ilmiah yang baik dan benar dengan berpedoman dengan EYD dalam mempersiapkan penyusunan Tugas Akhir. Kata kunci : karya ilmiah kolaborasi, kreativitas, TLM Abstract- This study aims to improve students' skills in writing scientific papers through a collaborative approach. The research subject is a student of the medical laboratory technology study program at binawan university jakarta, T.A. 2021/2022, who took part in the course of indonesian with a sub-subject of scientific papers, the research method used is descriptive qualitative. This research procedure raises problems by collecting relevant data, conducting data analysis, the experiences of students who have worked as atlm, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, discussions and the practice of compiling scientific papers. The problems faced by students in writing are (1) inconsistency between the title of the paper and the content of the paper, (2) it is not appropriate to formulate problems and sub-issues, (3) the discussion of each sub-issue is less detailed, (4) literature reviews are less relevant to the problem and sub-issues, (5) the conclusions have not reflected the description of the discussion of the problem, (6) do not pay attention to the use of eyd, the purpose of research with this collaborative method makes students responsible and more enthusiastic in studying material with professional friends, as well as being able to compile scientific papers in one group as a means of understanding scientific papers according to the rules of writing good and correct scientific papers guided by eyd in preparing the final project. Abstract

Recently, game-based learning has been increasingly popular in education to increase the colleges' student participation in learning activities, especially conducting tests. This study examined the college students' learning experiences by conducting a pretest and posttest through the Kahoot application. This study recruited four college students aged twenty to twenty-two to participate who were selected purposely to provide "information-rich" cases. Focus group discussions were conducted to obtain rich information to solve the research question and analyzed through four steps: analyzing interview data, writing memos, creating the final report, and organizing the structure. The findings highlight three themes to describe such as (1) the implementation of game-based learning, (2) Students' challenges using Kahoot, and (3) The positive students learning outcomes of using Kahoot. The implementation of Kahoot can create a more attractive, exciting, and quality test atmosphere because students answer questions purely within a limited time setting. This activity also encourages students to repeat the previous material to think faster in submitting answers to the Kahoot!

Abstract

The purpose of research on Indonesian spelling errors in official letters at the Siulak Mukai sub-district office is to describe errors in punctuation marks and letters. The background of this research is that there are still many errors in using Indonesian spelling in writing official letters at the Siulak Mukai district office. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data source is official letters issued by the Siulak Mukai sub-district office in 2020 for the January–December period of 25 letters. The data collection technique was carried out through observation and document analysis techniques. Data analysis techniques consist of two activities simultaneously, namely data reduction and data presentation. From the analysis carried out on 25-letter data, it was found that there were errors in using dots in 23-letter data, or 92% of errors. Errors in using commas amount to as many as 14 data letters, or 56% of errors. Slash mark errors can be as high as 10 letters, or 40% of the time. Hyphen error amounts to as much as one letter of data or a 4% error. Capital letter errors accounted for 21 letters or 84% of all errors. Italics errors are as common as four-letter data, accounting for 16% of all errors. The error in using bold letters is four, or 16% of the time.

Abstract

The reading ability of Elementary students is a series of actions that must be developed so that students are not only good at reading but also able to explore and understand the text of reading books. This study shows that several picture books are an effort to increase elementary school students' reading interest. The methodology used in this study is a literature review and reports from various journals. To increase students' interest in reading, teachers must use appropriate media to attract students' attention. Picture storybooks have a function to enrich and support storytelling in the process of understanding the contents of the book. Picture books are one of the tools used in the curriculum. Storybooks feature many pictures to tell a story, character, setting, or whatever. This study describes the development of Elementary school picture storybooks and the benefits of using storybooks as a media in teaching elementary students. The study concludes that students' attraction to develop reading skills and develop previous skills can be done through the use of media, namely the use of stories presented in the media.

Abstract

Writing entitled "The Image of Women in the Novel Cinta Suci Zahrana by Habiburrahman El Shirazy" which has the aim of explaining the image of women in the novel "Cinta Suci Zahrana" by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Research data in the form of words, phrases, and sentences derived from the novel "Cinta Suci Zahrana" by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The results of this research analysis: (1) The image of a woman as an individual, (2) The image of a woman as a wife, (3) The image of a woman as part of society. The results of the analysis of women's images examine the image of women in character Zahrana in the novel Cinta Suci Zahrana by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. Zahrana is the main character in the novel Cinta Suci Zahrana by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. At this time, the image of women can already be equal to that of men. Women have the power to support their progress and achievements as career women.
