Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job satisfaction, person-job fit, and servant leadership on employee performance at the Yogyakarta City Fire and Rescue Service. This research uses a quantitative approach with a saturated sampling method, involving the entire population of 40 respondents. Primary data was collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression method with SPSS software. The results showed that job satisfaction has a significant influence on employee performance, while person-job fit and servant leadership do not have a significant influence. This finding indicates that improved employee performance in this organization is influenced by the level of job satisfaction, which is indicated by the highest rating on the aspect of overall satisfaction with work. Meanwhile, although person-job fit and servant leadership were rated positively by respondents, these variables have not contributed significantly to performance improvement. These results imply the need to focus on improving job satisfaction through strategies such as providing appreciation, recognizing achievements, and improving the comfort of the work environment. In addition, this study recommends exploring other factors such as work motivation, organizational support, and person-organization fit that may have a greater influence on employee performance. This study provides practical implications for organizational leaders in developing more comprehensive and holistic policies to improve the effectiveness of employee performance. Further research is expected to expand population coverage by involving similar agencies in other regions and adding new relevant variables to provide a deeper understanding of the factors that influence employee performance in the public sector.

Abstract

This research aims to look at human development during extraordinary events as seen from the influence of government spending, especially in health and education spending by local government, unemployment rates, and the severity of the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred. Population data uses data from all provinces in Indonesia from 2020 to 2022. Analysis of the development and condition of HDI, government spending, unemployment levels, and the severity of the pandemic using descriptive statistical methods. Meanwhile, to determine the development and extent of the effect of government spending variables, unemployment levels, and the severity of the pandemic on human development, this research uses panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Panel data analysis findings indicate that government spending variables in the education and health sectors have no bearing on raising the HDI score. However, the HDI is significantly impacted by the unemployment rate and the pandemic's severity. Based on these findings, this study suggests that government expenditure in the health and education sectors be optimized to deal with extraordinary events and maintain the region's focus on human development growth.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of digital leadership on career satisfaction among independent employees in startup companies in Padang City, with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. Digital leadership plays a crucial role in shaping employee experiences by providing support, guidance, and motivation through digital tools and leadership approaches. This study explores how digital leadership enhances self-efficacy, which in turn strengthens career satisfaction among independent employees. This research employs a purposive sampling technique, selecting 190 independent employees from various startup companies in Padang City, ranging in age from 19 to 50 years. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method to assess the relationships between digital leadership, self-efficacy, and career satisfaction. The findings reveal that digital leadership has a direct positive effect on career satisfaction. Additionally, self-efficacy serves as a significant mediating factor, reinforcing the influence of digital leadership on career satisfaction. Employees who perceive strong digital leadership tend to develop higher self-efficacy, which subsequently enhances their career satisfaction. This study is grounded in Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT), which emphasizes self-efficacy as a fundamental component of career development. SCCT suggests that individuals’ belief in their abilities influences their career satisfaction and overall professional growth. In this context, digital leadership acts as an environmental support, fostering employees' confidence and motivation to achieve their career goals. The research provides valuable insights for startup companies to design leadership strategies that enhance self-efficacy and career satisfaction among independent employees. Strengthening digital leadership practices can contribute to employee development, retention, and overall organizational growth in the competitive startup ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Price, Taste Experience, Viral Marketing Activity, and Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WoM) on Customer Satisfaction, as well as its subsequent impact on Brand Loyalty. The research was conducted on Mixue consumers in the Jabodetabek area, involving 149 respondents selected through purposive sampling, a type of non-probability sampling technique. The research model and its hypotheses were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected via an online questionnaire distributed through Google Forms, consisting of 32 Likert-scale statements (1–5). The findings indicate that while Price has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on Customer Satisfaction, Taste Experience, Viral Marketing Activity, and E-WoM each have a positive and significant influence. Based on these results, it is recommended that Mixue enhance customer satisfaction by developing more localized and innovative taste offerings and conducting regular flavor testing to meet consumer preferences. Additionally, viral marketing efforts can be optimized by encouraging user-generated content and collaborating with micro-influencers to strengthen engagement and emotional connection with the brand.
