Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the guided inquiry learning model in improving the critical thinking skills to fifth-grade students in the IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) subject at SDN Cengklik, as well as to identify the challenges fade. The background of the study is the low critical thinking skills of students due to the lack of variety in the teaching models used. The purpose of this study are : a) Knowing the mechanism of the Inquiry Mwthod can be used to improve critical thinking skills, b) Knowing the rolse of thinking, c) Knowing the characteristics of the critical thinking. The study employs a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design, and the sample is selcted through purposive sampling. Data analysis is conducted using the independent sample t-test with spss 25. The results show that the guided inquiry model signuficantly that this model students’s crotical thinking skills compared to conventional teaching methods, indicating that this model is effective use in ipas instruction.

Abstract

The issue addressed in this study was the low numeracy skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Metro Pusat. This research aimed to determine the effect of the RADEC learning model supported by interactive Powerpoint on students' numeracy skills. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique applied was saturated sampling, with a total sample of 54 students. The research instruments consisted of an essay test and a non-test in the form of observation sheets. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression and a t-test, which resulted in a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05, and the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of the RADEC learning model assisted by interactive Powerpoint on students' numeracy abilities, and there was a difference in numeracy abilities between the experimental class and the control class of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Metro Pusat. The RADEC learning model, enhanced with interactive Powerpoint, effectively helped students understand mathematical concepts by connecting them to real-life contexts, thereby improving their numeracy skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun kalimat efektif melalui pembelajaran eksplisit mengenai penggunaan tanda baca. Masalah yang ditemukan di kelas V MI Muhammadiyah Romang Lompoa menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menempatkan tanda baca secara tepat, yang berdampak pada rendahnya kualitas tulisan dan keterbacaan kalimat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes menulis, dan wawancara, serta dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan tanda baca secara tepat. Pada awalnya, hanya sekitar 40% siswa yang menggunakan tanda baca dengan benar. Setelah dua siklus pembelajaran, angka tersebut meningkat menjadi 85%. Pembelajaran eksplisit yang dikombinasikan dengan metode kontekstual dan latihan menulis terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyusun kalimat yang jelas dan komunikatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengajaran tanda baca secara sistematis dapat meningkatkan literasi tulis siswa dan perlu diintegrasikan dalam kurikulum pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the problematic implementation of thematic learning for fifth grade students at SD Angkasa Lanud Adi Soemarmo after the pandemic. This research is a qualitative study that uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study were 10 fifth grade students of SD Angkasa Lanud Adi Soemarmo. The data validity technique applied was triangulation of techniques between observation, interviews, and documentation. Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model was used as the data analysis technique of this research. The results of the study show that the problems that occur during the implementation of thematic learning in class V students are less than optimal classroom management, mastery of material when teaching, the absence of learning assessment, differences in the level of understanding of students, lack of involvement and enthusiasm of students, and lack of facilities and infrastructure that are inadequate in the classroom.

Abstract

This study investigated the correlation between the fulfillment of learning needs and students' problem-solving abilities in science instruction within elementary schools. The research was grounded in the urgency of 21st-century skills development, especially critical and problem-solving thinking, in response to the educational demands of the Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 eras. A quantitative correlational survey design was applied. The population included elementary school students in Laweyan District. Data were gathered using a 4-point Likert-scale questionnaire to assess students’ perceptions of learning needs (readiness, interest, and learning profile) and open-ended questions to measure problem-solving ability (identification, alternative solutions, best solution implementation, and evaluation). Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. Findings revealed low but positive correlations between all aspects of learning needs and problem-solving skills. Readiness had the strongest correlation with generating alternative solutions (r = 0.220), while interest was most strongly linked to executing the best solution (r = 0.217). Learning profile showed the weakest associations across all indicators. The results emphasized that although learning needs are not dominant predictors, their integrated fulfillment contributes to improving problem-solving competence. The study concluded that comprehensive attention to students’ learning readiness, interest, and learning profiles supports the development of their problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) to analyze the implementation of Islamic-based school culture in building the disciplinary character of students at SDIT Al-Hadi; (2) analyzing the supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the implementation of Islamic-based school culture in building the disciplinary character of students at SDIT Al-Hadi; (3) analyzing the efforts made to overcome the inhibiting factors of implementing Islamic-based school culture in building the disciplinary character of students at SDIT Al-Hadi. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The subject in this study were the principal, teachers and students of SDIT Al-Hadi. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity testing technique uses source triangulation and technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive model data analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The implementation of Islamic-based school culture in building disciplinary character at SDIT Al-Hadi has been carried out very well at a scale of 90%; (2) Factors supporting, namely: the involvement of school members and supporting infrastructure. The inhibiting factors are: students easily forget and lack of student awareness; (3) Efforts made to overcome the inhibiting factors are: raising student awareness and establishing cooperation with parents.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether there is a relationship between online gaming habits and peer conformity with learning motivation. The research design is quantitative with  an ex-postfacto correlational research method. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire distributed to students of the state elementary school in Wonosegoro district. The results of this study are 1) there is a significant negative relationship between the habit of playing online games and learning motivation at a "moderate" correlation level. 2) There was a significant negative relationship between peer conformity and learning motivation at the level of "strong" correlation. 3) There was a significant relationship between online gaming habits and peer conformity and simultaneous learning motivation at the level of "strong" correlation. The implication of this study is the need for time management in playing online games and self-control so that they are not influenced by peers who play online games so that learning motivation does not decrease.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the teacher's efforts in strengthening the character of mutual cooperation in extracurricular scout learning. This is motivated by recent cases that have affected the quality of Indonesian education due to the low moral values of students. This research uses a qualitative approach descriptive method with data sources of the principal, extracurricular scout teachers and grade IV students at SDN 2 Kalikebo, Trucuk, Klaten. Data were collected through three techniques, namely observation, interviews and document studies for four meetings. Data analysis used interactive analysis techniques by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study show several teacher efforts that can fulfill the indicators of the gotong royong character. This research can add insight for teachers and prospective teachers in implementing character strengthening, both the character of gotong royong and other characters.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and explain the implementation of edupreneurship values in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) at SD Negeri Kemasan I Surakarta. The qualitative approach used is descriptive qualitative. This study employs purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation of P5 learning activities at SD Negeri Kemasan 1 Surakarta, Grade 5, which represent edupreneurship values including independence, creativity, collaboration, willingness to take risks, self-confidence, and leadership qualities. Additionally, data from the school profile of SD Negeri Kemasan I Surakarta and school reports related to the implementation process of P5 learning were utilized. Data analysis in this study used the Interactive Analysis technique by Miles & Huberman. Validity testing was conducted using content and language validity through expert judgment. The research results indicate that the P5 Learning Program at SD Negeri Kemasan 1 Surakarta successfully fosters the six core values of edupreneurship: independence, creativity, collaboration, risk-taking, self-confidence, and leadership. These values form an important foundation for students in facing future challenges.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe the social skills in peer relations contained in the textbooks of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fourth grade students in the Merdeka Curriculum. This research is included in the type of content analysis research. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, this is because this research describes the reality of social skills in peer relations. Data collection techniques used were document inspection and interviews. Data validity testing techniques use techniques to increase persistence and use content validity of logical validity types. This study uses the interactive data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study concluded that social skills in peer relations which consisted of indicators of positive interaction with peers and having empathy with peers were included in the learning activities in the Natural and Social Sciences textbooks for fourth grade students of Merdeka Curriculum Elementary School. However, the level of domination of the development of each indicator of social skills in peer relations varies. Overall, the development of social skills in peer relations in the Natural and Social Sciences Textbook for Grade IV students at Merdeka Curriculum Elementary School has an unequal and uneven distribution pattern.
