Abstract

Woman shellfish peelers (Geloina Erosa) are at risk of developing musculoskeletal disease (MSDS) because of their activities that involve lifting, moving heavy items, carrying weights on the head, bending, or looking up when carrying weights. The majority of women's jobs in Pantai Cermin sub-district are shellfish peelers (Geloina Erosa). This study aims to identify risk factors for musculoskeletal disease (MSDS) in female peelers of Kepah Mussels (Geloina Erosa). Using a cross-sectional study design and quantitative methodology, the population in this study was 45 and The sampling technique used a total sampling of 45 respondents. The data was then analyzed using a correlation test with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that age, length of work, duration of work, weight, and work posture affect the risk of musculoskeletal disease (MSDs) in female shellfish peelers (Geloina Erosa) in Pantai Cermin District. But years of service are negatively affected This signifies that the longer a person works, the lower their likelihood of experiencing. One strategy to reduce the possibility of musculoskeletal disease complaints (MSDs) is to increase awareness of work posture, comply with occupational safety health regulations, stretch before starting work to reduce pain in parts of the body that experience musculoskeletal disorders, suggestions for improving sitting posture so that the legs are not bent and rest when the body experiences pain to reduce the risk of complaints. The goal is to prevent work fatigue and complaints of MSDs. Women who do kepah peeling work are also expected to routinely stretch, take adequate rest and to reduce soreness in the calves of female shellfish peelers (Geloina Erosa) in Pantai Cermin District It is recommended to use tables and chairs with parallel heights so as not to bend the legs too much and wrap when stripping shells (Geloina Erosa). Keywords: MSDS risk, Shellfish peeler (Geloina Erosa), Women, Work Posture

Abstract

Merang padi is a traditional medicine that comes from natural ingredients, namely plants. However, there has not been much research on the activity of rice straw extract (Oryza sativa) being explored and researched. The aim of this research was to determine the yield of extracts and the number of antifungal isolates in inhibiting fungal growth and their potential as antifungals against Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus fungi. This research uses experimental research with a quantitative approach carried out through laboratory tests. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which was grouped into 6 treatment groups, namely 4 groups of rice straw extract and 2 control groups which were repeated for each treatment 4 times. The treatment group consisted of P1 with rice straw extract with a concentration of 20,000 ppm, P2 with rice straw extract with a concentration of 40,000 ppm, P3 with rice straw extract with a concentration of 60,000 ppm and P4 with rice straw extract with a concentration of 80,000 ppm. Meanwhile, the control group, namely P0 as a negative control, namely NaCl 0.9% and P5 as a positive control, namely Nystatin 100,000 IU. The research sample was rice straw from rice plants that had been identified and then weighed. Data analysis used one way ANOVA SPSS version 20. If there were differences then a further test was carried out, namely the Honest Significant Difference Test (BNJ) to see the differences between each treatment based on the coefficient of diversity (KK) value obtained at the 5% test level. The results of tests that have been carried out show that the n-hexane fraction of rice straw has no antifungal activity, while the ethyl acetate and n-butanol fractions have antifungal activity. The concentration of ethyl acetate in this study was greater than the other compounds. Keywords : Candida albicus, merang padi, mushrooms, oryza sativa

Abstract

The need for information systems is currently becoming very important, especially in terms of predicting drug needs in health care facilities, one of which is the health department. The availability of drug inventory prediction applications is expected to help health facility management optimize drug inventory levels so that they can use budgets effectively. The research aims to design an application that can meet the needs and facilitate the process of planning drug needs in health care facilities. This research is highly relevant to the aspects of pharmacy management, pharmacy data analysis, and information systems in the field of health, all of which are important topics in the development of effective and efficient health services. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model approach to develop information systems. The information system developed is a web-based information system that adopts a multiple linear regression system and the use of data mining as an algorithm in predicting drug needs. This is so that the allocation of drug provision budgets can be used effectively. The design of a drug data prediction information system using a linear regression method is intended to facilitate the process of planning drug needs that must be met in healthcare facilities. If this application design is implemented, it will help the management of healthcare facilities to optimize the level of drug inventory. This is because there is already a drug needs selection process that is in accordance with the drug needs condition needed by the hospital formation installation. Suggestions for further research can be developed to obtain information quickly about significant changes in drug needs or the potential risk of stockouts. Keywords: Data Mining,  Drug Procurement, Medicine Needs

Abstract

The decline in muscle mass and strength begins at the age of 30 years by 40% within 30 years, then will decrease by 40% every ten years after the age of 60 years. Loss of muscle mass and strength in older people causes weakness and reduced muscle function, which can lead to a decrease in the ability to perform activities of daily living and an increased risk of falls. In addition, older people are prone to malnutrition; this condition will be accompanied by micronutrient deficiencies both in older people who are undernourished and overnourished. Giving vitamin D3 to increase muscle mass and ability and reduce fat mass in older people also has pros and cons. So, this study aims to explore the effect of giving Vitamin D3 on changes in muscle mass in older adults. The study will also examine changes in upper arm muscle strength and evaluate the impact of Vitamin D3 on changes in muscle mass. This research is a study with an Experimental Randomised Control Trial (RCT) research design. The population was elderly who were deficient in vitamin D, while the study sample amounted to 26 control subjects and 26 action subjects. Samples are taken by consecutive sampling technique. Based on research findings, most older adults (60–69 years) suffer from vitamin D deficiency and deficiency. However, vitamin D3 supplementation increases the muscle mass of older adults in nursing homes, especially in the muscles of the upper and lower extremities. However, the supplement weakens muscle mass and causes bruising and bleeding but does not weaken arm muscle mass. Keywords: Elderly,  Muscle Mass,  Panti Werdha, Vitamin D3

Abstract

Covid-19 pandemic has prompted an opportunity to use technology to help students understand difficult topics such as basic science. The flipped classroom method has been widely used to increase the students' active roles.  This study aims to measure the impact of modified flipped classroom to the undergraduate midwifery student's readiness, engagement, and understanding. This study used an embedded experimental model with an uncontrolled one-group pre-post-test quasi-experimental design on a total sampling of 37 first-year undergraduate diploma midwifery education students. The treatments were exposure to pre-class physiology video teaching materials and the flipped classroom. Kirkpatrick levels 1 and 2 were used to measure satisfaction and learning using closed Likert scales and open-ended questionnaires. Students' pre and post-test scores were measured and analysed using paired t-tests. Open questionnaire answers were analysed using content analysis.  The statistical result showed significance difference (p <0.0001) with an increase in the average pre-post test score of 49%. The qualitative data revealed that the modified flipped classroom could increase active learning, self-reflection, learning material mastery and repetition, student readiness, lecturing effectiveness, and learning pace equity. The modified flipped classroom method was effective to increase the readiness, engagement, and understanding of the midwifery students in basic science course.  Suggestions for future researchers are to add additional variables in the study to measure the impact of modified flipped classroom, such as learning motivation, student satisfaction, and academic outcomes. This will provide a more comprehensive picture of the effects of using this method on learning outcomes and student experience. Keyword: Flipped classroom, Kirkpatrick, Midwifery, Online learning, Physiology
