Abstract

Purpose- This research aims to explore the study of contradictions (tadlād) in meaning found in Surah Al-Maidah. Tadlād is a study in the realm of semantic beauty known as thibāq in the science of Badi'. This study presents an interesting discussion regarding the aesthetic appeal of a sentence when viewed in terms of the selection of its words.  Design/ Methodology/ Approach- The research method employed is qualitative, specifically library research and content analysis of Surah Al-Maidah using the tadlād maknawy theory in thibaq studiy. Findings- The research findings indicate that there are 22 instances of thibāq in Surah Al-Maidah, with a breakdown of 15 instances of thibāq ijab, 6 instances of thibāq salab, and 1 instance classified as thibāq khafi or iham al-tadlād. The study also highlights the important distinction between al-tadlād and al-muqābalah, which is often misunderstood.  Research Limitation/ Implication- The impact of this research is to strengthen the faith of Muslims in experiencing the beauty of the Qur'an, particularly in Surah Al-Maidah. Additionally, there are several important findings, such as the distinction between muqābalah and tadlād, which are often mistakenly understood as the same thing. This research contributes significantly to the study of thibāq and provides valuable insights for further exploration.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aimed to create a scientific dialogue between the Tamyiz Method - as a fast method for learning Arabic Qawaid - and the Nahwu renewal concept initiated by Syauqi Dhayf. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research used qualitative methods with the type of library research. Data collection was by collecting and reading library materials related to the research theme, making notes, and analyzing them deductively using Miles and Haberman's analysis stages. Findings- The results of this research stated that the Tamyiz 1 material could apply the six principles of Nahwu Syauqi Dhayf renewal except for “the elimination of i'rob taqdiri or mahalli analysis”, because the learning material in Tamyiz 1 – which aimed to be smart tarjamah of the Quran – did not introduce i'rob analysis. The rest principles – such as reformulation, reorientation, redefinition, deleting additional materials that do not lead to achieve learning objectives, and adding material considered significant in achieving learning objectives – could be seen in several structures of Tamyiz 1 materials, such as the addition of the mujarrod chapter to find the original letter of a sentence, focuses the material on identifying harf, fiil and isim with its characteristics and patterns (wazan) which have a high frequency of appearance in the QS. Al-Baqarah. Several other chapters known in the classical nahwu standards are not taught because the materials are focused and arranged concisely to achieving Tamyiz 1 learning objectives.  Research Implications- The results of this research have implications for The results of this research have implications for learning qawaid with the 'fast method' which has been developed by many Arabic language scholars, including the Tamyiz Method. The results of this research can provide an epistemological explanation regarding fast Nahwu learning methods.

Abstract

Objective- This study aims to find out whether the book Muhawaratul Haditsah first chapter complies with the four criteria for teaching materials put forward by Abdul Ghali and whether this book is suitable for learning Arabic.  Design / Methodology / Qualitative- This research uses the documentation method or what is often referred to as library research or library research with a content analysis approach. What was used to collect data and information in this study were documents related to research and analysis of the textbooks examined by researchers.  Findings- This research shows that the book "Muhawarotil Haditsah" first chapter as a whole focuses on the contents of the book learning about Islamic culture and learning adab or noble character, this aims so that students can learn how to be a Muslim and socialize well in their environment both at school and at home. And although the four criteria for teaching materials put forward by Abdul Ghali are not one hundred percent fulfilled by this book, this book is very feasible to use, especially for students who are in Islamic boarding schools.  Research Limitations/Implications- In this study, the researcher focused on researching or analyzing the contents of the book "Muhawarotul Haditsah" first chapter using the basis of the subject matter proposed by Nasir Abdul Ghali. Namely, the basis of culture, psychology, language and education.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aims to know the effects of listening skills by  using the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning models in Islamic Senior High School 2 Padang. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research is a quantitative experimental research where the object is students of Islamic Senior High School 2 Padang. The data in this research was obtained through observation, interview, and test. Findings- The results of this research indicate that there is an effect of  listening skills by using the STAD type cooperative learning models because there is an increase in student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the average value of the student before using the model is 60 while the average value of the student after is 83. Research Limitation/ Implications- Due to the time limits, this research couldn’t go any further. However, it obtained satisfactory results and can be expected to help develop innovative learning models for listening skill in Islamic Senior High School 2 Padang.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aims to explore the impact of highly advanced technology in reducing cross-cultural language conflicts, especially in Indonesia, which boasts rich linguistic and cultural diversity. Information technology has significant potential to serve as a catalyst in mitigating language conflicts amid the cultural and linguistic diversity in Indonesia. Design/Methodology/Approach- The research employs a descriptive-analytical literature review method, which highlights various relevant theories supporting an understanding of how technology can play a crucial role in dampening language conflicts. Data collection from literature reviewed by several researchers is conducted to gain a profound understanding of the impact of information technology in mitigating language conflicts among different language and cultural groups. Findings- The findings indicate that information technology serves not only as a tool to reduce conflicts among groups with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds but also as a facilitator in building intercultural and interreligious communication. By exploring digital solutions, it is evident that technology plays a significant role in deepening cross-cultural understanding and strengthening inter-country relationships. With technological advancements, it is expected that these solutions will continue to innovate and contribute to creating a more inclusive and mutually understanding society amidst the linguistic and cultural diversity in Indonesia. Research Limitation/Implications- This research is still in the theoretical realm and does not involve field testing as a comparative method. Nevertheless, this study can be considered as a preliminary step in exploring the role of rapidly developing technology in addressing language conflict issues.

Abstract

Purpose- Each teacher (lecturer) has a characteristic teaching style in the learning process. This study shows that the teaching style used by native Arabic speaking lecturers is a discussion-dialogue style. This can be aligned with the teaching style classification theory, namely the interactional teaching style. Design/Methodology/Approach- Researchers used a qualitative type method with a field approach. The aim is to describe directly in the field and then write about how to use the teaching style of native speaker lecturers and to review descriptively some of the student's opinions regarding the use of teaching styles and the impact they have on the process of learning Arabic. Then the data was collected and validated through three general instruments in qualitative research, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Findings- Apart from native speaker lecturers using a discussion-dialogue teaching style, native speaker lecturers combine teaching styles with other types of teaching styles to support success in the process of learning Arabic. Students are of the opinion that the teaching style of native Arabic speakers is not boring and has an impact on student enthusiasm and discipline in learning with native Arabic speakers. Research Limitation/ Implications- The limitations of the problem in this research focus on the use of the teaching style of native speaker lecturers at the KH Islamic boarding school Abdul Chalim Mojokerto.

Abstract

Purpose- Arabic is a language that is rich in meaning, learning Arabic is one of the keys to reading the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam. Such is the case at STIBA Ar Raayah, a high school in which there are students who come from all over the island in Indonesia, to study Arabic. The purpose of this study is to analyze the mistakes of STIBA Ar Raayah students in Arabic dialogue. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research uses a qualitative approach and analytical descriptive method. The researcher acts as the main instrument. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data coding, data display and conclusion drawing. The researcher explained the grammatical errors by students and then proposed a new program to overcome this problem. Findings- Based on the results of the research, STIBA Ar Raayah is supported by an Arabic environment and good teaching methods so that none of the students speak except in Arabic. However, even though this school has an environment and is supported by good teaching methods, there are still shortcomings that need to be corrected, and the media used in correcting these errors are comics because comics are considered effective in correcting student errors in dialoguing in Arabic. Research Limitation/Implications- Students who make mistakes in dialogue in Arabic are quite large. Therefore, it is necessary to hold a language improvement program that is appropriate and fun for students. The researcher suggests comics to be a program in analyzing grammatical errors in daily dialogues.

Abstract

Purpose- This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the Bing Translator and ChatGPT websites in translating Arabic text into Indonesian using the lyrics of the song "Haawil Marroh Ukhro" by Humood al-Khudr as the translation instrument. Design/Methodology/Approach- The study employs a comparative method and adapted analysis of translation errors. Data collection involves translating lyrics using both applications, literature review, and translation references. Data analysis techniques include qualitative descriptive data analysis. Abstract

Purpose- This paper describes the implementation and evaluation system of the Tamyiz method in learning Arabic grammar to improve the skill of reading heritage books in the Dinul Qoyyim Islamic Boarding School, Gunung Sari West Lombok, Halaqah Mubtadi. Design/ Methodology/Qualitative - This field research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis approach, where the data sources consist of primary and secondary data sources, using observation, interview and documentation techniques. At the same time, data analysis is done by data reduction, presentation and verification. Test the validity of the data using validity testing in the form of extended observations, triangulation, increasing accuracy, negative case analysis, and organ screening. Findings- The research findings indicate that the Tamyiz method, implemented through repetitive and varied exercises such as reading, memorization, and singing, significantly enhances students' understanding of grammar and morphology. Using the book "Fathul Qarib" as the primary text facilitates students' comprehension of Arabic grammar. The rhythm of singing exercises, inspired by children's songs and popular prayers, makes students more active in learning. Improvements in understanding and memorizing sentences, as well as ease in reading classical texts (kutubut turath), demonstrate the effectiveness of the Tamyiz method in learning Arabic grammar to improve the skill of reading heritage books. Research Limitation- The study's limitations include its single-site focus at the Dinul Qoyyim Islamic Boarding School potentially limiting generalizability. The small sample size, focused on beginner students, may not fully represent broader educational contexts. Reliance on qualitative methods and a short duration restrict the depth of analysis and long-term impact assessment. Additionally, the specific cultural and religious context may affect applicability elsewhere. Future research should aim for broader sampling and longer-term assessments.

Abstract

Purpose- The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of using the animated cartoon film YouTube channel "Marhaban Academy" and to find out the students' response in using the animated film YouTube channel "Marhaban Academy" as Arabic learning media for seventh grade students at MTs Yayasan Cerdas Murni Tembung. Design/Methodology/Approach- The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research, data collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to students, the subjects in this research are seventh grade students of MTs Yayasan Cerdas Murni Tembung with a total of 31 students who carry out teaching and learning activities using media animated cartoon film Youtube Channel "Marhaban Academy". The instrument used is a questionnaire for student responses using a Likert scale with five assessment criteria, namely Very Good (SB); Good (B); Enough (C); Less (K); and Very Less (SK).The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of using the animated cartoon film YouTube channel "Marhaban Academy" and to find out the students' response in using the animated film YouTube channel "Marhaban Academy" as a medium for learning Arabic for class VII students at MTs Yayasan Cerdas Murni Tembung. Findings- Referring to the findings obtained in this study that the use of YouTube channel animated cartoon film "Marhaban Academy" in Arabic language learning shows that this media is an effective tool to increase students' interest, motivation, and understanding. Besides, students can build good cooperation ability among students, which is an important skill not only in academic context but also in daily life. This success confirms that learning with the creative media of "Marhaban Academy" YouTube channel animated cartoon film can support the development of students' social and collaborative skills effectively. Research Limitation/Implications- The problem limitation in this study is that it focuses on the effectiveness and student responses to the use of animated cartoon films on the YouTube channel "Marhaban Academy" in learning Arabic for seventh grade students at MTs Yayasan Cerdas Murni Tembung.
