Abstract

A myriad of traditions underlie the local wisdom of Sasak tribe (the indigenous people in Lombok), namely tradisi merarik (wedding), nenarih (proposing), sorong serah ajikrame (dowry negotiation), langar, begawe (party) , banjar (the community body), begibung (eating together), berayan mangan (eating together), and nyongkolan (wedding parade). Such local customs in general entail the value of mutual concession or tolerance, compassion, dependency, social solidarity, sympathy, communal work for peace, and prosperity. The local wisdoms are strongly relevant to the theory of chemical bonding such as electrostatic stability and configuration, the positive and negative ions, theory of chemical bond formation, polar and nonpolar covalent, coordinate covalent bond, metal bonding, and intermolecular forces comprising hydrogen and Van der Waals bond. The interface and relevance of both are actualized in the religious and social values of Sasak Lombok tradition equivalent to the theory of chemical bonding. Therefore, this paper demonstrates that the theory of chemical bonding is strongly relevantly associated with the tradition of local Islamic wisdom of Sasak Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

Pendidik dan peserta didik merupakan komponen penting dalam sistem pendidikan. Kedua komponen ini saling berinteraksi dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan yang diinginkan. Peserta didik merupakan raw material atau bahan mentah dalam proses transformasi pendidikan. Ia juga merupakan komponen masukan dalam sistem pendidikan, yang selanjutnya diproses dalam  proses pendidikan, sehingga menjadi manusia yang berkualitas sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi Kepala Madrasah dalam merekrut peserta didik baru di MAN 3 Lombok Tengah. Secara teoritis-praktis penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi keilmuan bagi kepala madrasah secara umum dan secara khusus bagi MAN 3 Lombok Tengah sebagai locus penelitian menyangkut objek penelitian. Adapun tahapan strategi yang digunakan kepala sekolah berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini yaitu  mulai dari formulasi strategi, implementasi strategi dan pengendalian/evaluasi strategi. Pada tahapan formulasi strategi dilakukan perencanaan, identifikasi dan analasis faktor pendukung, juga penghambat internal-eksternal dalam lingkungan, analisis alternatif strategi yang bisa dilakukan dan terakhir penetapan strategi yang akan diterapkan. Pada tahapan implementasi strategi, hal-hal yang sudah dihasilkan pada tahap sebelumnya diimplementasikan sedemikian rupa. Sedangkan pada tahap pengendalian/evaluasi strategi kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah mereview faktor internal dan eksternal yang merupakan dasar strategi yang telah ada, menilai preformance strategi, hingga akhirnya melakukan langkah koreksi.

Abstract

This research examines the correlation between the utilization of Sasak's indigenous knowledge in the learning process and the development of critical thinking abilities among students of Islamic education in the region of West Nusa Tenggara. The present study employed a quantitative research approach, utilizing a survey design methodology to gather data. The primary instrument employed for data collection was a critical thinking abilities questionnaire. The data underwent analysis by the application of a regression test, employing a significance threshold of .05. The findings indicate that there exists a statistically significant correlation between the implementation of learning based on Sasak's local wisdom and the development of critical thinking abilities among Islamic education students in West Nusa Tenggara. Furthermore, the study demonstrates that the utilization of Sasak's local wisdom-based learning contributes to a 30% improvement in critical thinking skills. Therefore, it is imperative for higher institutions to promote the integration of local wisdom-based learning approaches in order to effectively attain the learning objectives associated with 21st-century capabilities.

Abstract

This research aims to study and analyze modern linguistic studies in Arabic language learning. This research is a type of library research, the data in this research are journals, articles, websites and books that discuss modern linguistics from the aspects of meaning, objects, objectives, scope and benefits of studying modern linguistics. This research is a library research study, so the data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis technique and the data is presented in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of this research are that linguistics is a science that studies and examines language, sounds, human signals related to language phenomena, then the scope of study of modern linguistics is first, phonology, where language is a spoken form, not written. Second, morphology is a science that studies the methods of word formation and the verbal changes that occur in these words. The third is semantics, namely the science that studies meaning and examines the branch of linguistics that is related to the theory of meaning. Fourth is syntax, which is the study of how to form sentences from different words. Then the benefits of linguistic theory in developing Arabic language teaching such as sociolinguistics, contrastive and psycholinguistics. The role of linguistics in developing Arabic language teaching is an important tool for determining language teaching targets and explanations, because linguistics is a tool used by language teachers to describe and analyze language which of course will help the language teaching process. A good learning process always starts with a thorough plan. Careful planning will show optimal results in learning. Planning is the process of preparing something that is carried out to achieve predetermined goals.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low proficiency in Arabic speaking skills among 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Praya. To address this issue, the research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing a project-based learning model to enhance Arabic speaking skills. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative methods. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and speaking ability tests. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the project-based learning model significantly improves students' speaking skills. The conclusion drawn is that this model is effective in enhancing the Arabic speaking competency of 11th-grade students at SMAN 1 Praya. The implications of this study highlight the importance of adopting innovative teaching methods, such as project-based learning, to improve students' language abilities. Therefore, the results of this study can serve as a reference for teachers and educational institutions in selecting appropriate learning models to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

Islamic education in the National Education System of the Republic of Indonesia has an integrated relationship, including having goals and functions that are complementary and mutually supportive. Islamic education is a major part of achieving the goals of national education. This article presents the form of Islamic education implemented in public schools as an implementation process of Islamic education policy in the implementation of the national education system. Through observations, interviews, and descriptions of books, articles and documentary data collected, the researcher tries to deeply analyse and group similar data so as to produce a clear and in-depth description of the data analysis. Some of the obstacles that occur in schools indicate patterns of education that tend to be an obstacle to Islamic Education and the National Education Goals, making education stakeholders try to optimize patterns of religious education that refer to the optimization of Islamic Education Goals in national education programs in education units. This research produces several important points to strengthen the implementation of the Islamic education process in education units and concludes the importance of Islamic education in the national education system as a form of education and human development.

Abstract

This research aims to determine stakeholder governance in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Wathan Suela. This governance includes the management of teaching staff and educational staff in improving the quality of secondary education at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Wathan Suela, management of students in improving the quality of secondary education at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Wathan Suela, governance of partner communities and graduate users in improving quality. secondary education Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Suela. The methodology in this research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research include observation, in-depth interviews, document review. And visualization and representation of findings. The research results show that stakeholder governance in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Wathan Suela includes management of teachers and education personnel, student governance, and how the madrasah manages the role of stakeholders in improving the quality of secondary education. Education at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Wathan Suela is carried out very well so that the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah Nahdlatul Wathan Suela is very good.

Abstract

Background. Character education is a value education that emphasizes moral or ethical aspects. The term character is known as morals which not only emphasizes moral knowledge (moral knowing/learning to know), but also moral formation (moral feeling/moral loving) and application or actualization of values (moral action/moral doing).   Purpose. The purpose of this study is to describe the types of Islamic religious education activities that become a medium for strengthening character, forms of character that are strengthened through Islamic religious education activities and models of strengthening character values through Islamic religious education for students in public high schools in Mataram City. Method. This research is a qualitative research with data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model starting from data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusions. Data validity was carried out with observation persistence, extension of participation, reference and triangulation. Results. The results showed that the model of strengthening character values through Islamic religious education at school was carried out through three process/stage models, namely: a) Knowledge of morals, b) Moral formation, c) Application or moral actualization which emphasizes the actualization of character values both in the school environment and in the wider environment. Conclusion. he character education model in this school is carried out with two models, namely the hidden curriculum model and the integration model.

Abstract

Background. The paradigm of religious moderation (wasathiyah Islam) is a style of understanding and practice of Islam or an approach in contextualizing Islamic teachings in the midst of modernization and globalization. Purpose. This study aims to study and find a model for internalizing the value of religious moderation in higher education. Religious moderation is not a new teaching, not a new idiology and also not a new flow, but religious moderation is a way of view, attitude and behavior or religious practice by taking the middle way, acting fairly, balanced and not extreme or not excessive in religion. Method. This research is a qualitative research with data collection using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model starting from data collection, data condensation, data display and conclusions/verifying. Data validity was carried out with observation persistence, extension of participation, reference and triangulation. Results. Second, the inculturation model is carried out through exemplary and habituation or habituation in the campus environment. Third, the religious culture model is to create an Islamic campus environment by creating Islamic study centers such as the Qur'an study center and campus da'wah institutions as the basis for the movement to ground moderate Islam in the college environment. Conclusion. In the world of education such as universities, religious moderation becomes a necessity in shaping the character of moderate students.
