Abstract

Purpose- This research covers the organization of management and the division of tasks in the Arabic language program at KSK Fathimatuzzahro’ institution. The article aims to provide a clear and concise analysis of program management and task allocation to enhance effectiveness. Design/Methodology/Approach-This study uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data sources of this research are the results of interviews with the head of the institution, the curriculum department, teaching staff and several documents related to organizing activities. Data analysis was carried out using the Milles and Huberman method, namely: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. Findings- The scientific findings highlight the effective management organization in the Arabic language program at KSK Fathimatuzzahro’ institution, which involves determining and classifying activities, giving authority, selecting teaching staff, creating an organizational structure, and establishing work guidelines through instruction and coordination. The study reveals two levels of structural management: the institution’s management, which centrally coordinates the foreign language program, and the ORDIKA management, which provides a forum for students to develop organizational skills and assist in coordinating the activities of the institutional. Research Limitation/Implications- This research faces limitations due to narrow variable scope and methodological challenges in objectively measuring speaking skill improvements. However, this study provides in depth insights into the Arabic language program at KSK Fatimatuzzahro', offering practical guidance for enhancing students' speaking abilities.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aimed to analyze tests based on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in assessing reading skills, as well as the innovations contained in the form of HOTS-based question development and variations in teaching techniques within the Arabic language textbook for grade X published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2020. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research employed a library research method with a content analysis approach. The primary data source was the Arabic language textbook for grade X, while secondary data were obtained from relevant studies. Findings— The study found that the Arabic textbook for grade X published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs included six types of HOTS-based questions, though they were still limited. This research identified nine HOTS instruments, seven of which were new, such as identifying main ideas, analyzing information, evaluating ideas, and generating new ideas. These innovations were designed to support the development of Arabic reading skills. Research Limitation/Implications- This research was limited to a theoretical analysis of the 2020 Arabic Language textbook for grade X from the Ministry of Religious Affairs without field testing. However, this research served as an initial step in assessing the implementation of HOTS in Arabic language learning.

Abstract

Objective- Insya Thalabi is a word or sentence that has nothing to do with honesty or lies. The purpose of this study is to find out the sentences of Insya Thalabi in the historical novel "Andalusi Akhir" by Ahmad Amin. And knowing the meanings contained in the sentence insha thalabi.   Design/Methodology/Approach- This study uses a literature research method with the data collection method used, namely written documentation. Written documentation is a method used to collect data related to the variety of sentences insha thalabi and their meanings in the final historical novel Andalusi Akhir by Ahmad Amin. And the content analysis is a data analysis method used in this study to analyze the sentences and the content of the meaning of Insha Thalabi in the novel.   Findings- The results of the research found consist of: first, Insya Thalabi's sentences contained in the novel amounted to 184 sentences consisting of amr 14 sentences, nahy 10 sentences, istifham 86 sentences, tamanna 27 sentences, and nida 47 sentences. Second, the meanings contained in the entire sentence Insya Thalabi in this novel do not all have the original meaning of the sentence but there are also a meanings that is not original in it.  Research Limitations/Implications- In this study, the researcher focuses on researching or analyzing the content of the novel "Andalusi Akhir by Ahmad Amin" with a focus on the meaning of the sentence insya thalabi contained in it.

Abstract

Purpose- It was a research aiming at finding out the effect of implementing Show and Tell method toward student speaking ability at the eleventh grade of State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru. Design/Methodology/Approach- It was an experimental research. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. All of the the elevent grade of State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru were the population of this research, and the sample were the eleventh frade students of Social Science 1 as the experimental group and the students of Social Science 2 as the control group. The subject of this research were students at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru. The object was the effect of implementing Show and Tell method toward student speaking ability at the eleventh grade of State Islamic Senior High School 1 Pekanbaru. Findings- The results of this research are seen from the analysis of the data obtained and conclude that there was an effect of implementing Show and Tell method toward student speaking ability. It was proven from the result of testing the hypothesis by using Mann-Whitney test, the score of Asymp.sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 was lower than 0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It mean that there was a significant effect of Show and Tell method toward student speaking ability. Research Limitation/Implications- Therefore, from this research it is concluded that the show and tell method can be used in learning Arabic to improve speaking skills.

Abstract

Purpose-. This research aims to determine conventional and contemporary Arabic language learning methods, as well as recommendations for teachers to use learning media. Design/Methodology/Approach- This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a comparative analysis approach to compare conventional and contemporary Arabic language learning methods. Data collection uses literature reviews with references to scientific journals, books and relevant previous research. Findings- The research results show that there are many conventional and contemporary Arabic language learning methods. The methods displayed are grammatical and translation, audio lingual, direct, eclectic, communicative, and technology based learning (TBL) methods. All methods have their own characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. Teachers can choose learning methods that suit the conditions and material being taught. Research Limitation/Implications- The limitations of this research are that it focuses on conventional and contemporary Arabic language learning media with comparative analysis and is limited to a literature review where it goes to the field to collect data.

Abstract

Purpose—This study aims to examine the relationship between the implementation of higher-order thinking Skills (HOTS) and the success in enhancing speaking skills, focusing on social contexts and practical applications. It also seeks to identify the challenges encountered in Arabic language learning and the impact of HOTS implementation on improving students' ability to engage and communicate effectively at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Qur’an Al-Aziziyah. Design/Methodology/Approach - This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation to examine the implementation of higher-order thinking Skills (HOTS) in Arabic language learning at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Qur’an Al-Aziziyah. The data collected are analyzed using thematic analysis, where emerging patterns or themes are linked to HOTS theory to provide a deeper understanding of the impact of HOTS implementation on improving students' speaking skills. The findings from this analysis will reveal the challenges, successes, and contributions of HOTS in Arabic language learning at the pesantren. Findings:  The findings indicate that the implementation of HOTS in Arabic language learning to enhance speaking skills among students (santri) at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Qur’an Al-Aziziyah is carried out through systematic steps involving analysis, evaluation, and creativity. However, the challenges faced by the students primarily revolve around their motivation and mental state, including feelings of embarrassment, fear of making mistakes, lack of motivation, and the students' desire to learn Arabic and apply it in their daily lives. Research Limitation/Implications - The limitation of this research lies in its narrow focus solely on Pondok Pesantren Nurul Qur’an Al-Aziziyah, which may limit the generalizability of the findings to other educational institutions. Additionally, the depiction of challenges students face is based on their perceptions and experiences, potentially influencing the objectivity of the research outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose- This research aims to find out how to increase the motivation of teachers and students at MI Islamiyah Sawojajar through the actualization of the book Adab 'Alim wa Muta'llim in learning Arabic. Design/Methodology/Approach- The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative.  Researchers act as the main instrument, namely researchers who create data collection instruments such as researchers creating interview questions, observation instruments and document data instruments. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation which are then reduced and verified and then presented. Findings— Research on the Actualization of the Book of Adab 'Alim wa Muta'llim in Arabic Language Learning to Increase Teacher and Student Motivation produced data in the form of increased motivation in learning Arabic for both teachers and students in accordance with the contents of the book Adab 'Alim wa Muta'llim with details ; for teachers: 1) Professional (B>>A), 2) Initiative (A>>A), 3) Prioritizes teaching tasks (B>>A), 4) Likes to increase knowledge (B>>A) and 5) No easily complacent (C>>B). For students: 1) Desire to succeed (B>>A), 2) Encouragement to learn (B>>A), 3) Hope and aspirations (C>>B), 4) Reward for learning (B>>A) , 5) Attraction of learning (C>>A) and 6) Conducive learning situation (B>>A). Research Limitation/Implications- Due to limited time, this research was carried out once but was still able to produce valid and reliable data which represents the research objectives.

Abstract

Purpose– Vocabulary is one of the main keys to being able to learn a foreign language because without vocabulary learning a foreign language will be very difficult to implement. Among the learning resources are books that also study vocabulary, with various presentations. However, the system for presenting vocabulary in books still requires a deeper review in terms of the concept of presentation. Design/Methodology/Approach– Through mixed methods based on literature studies, this article reveals how the concept of presenting vocabulary in Abdur Rahman bin Ibrahim Al-Fauzan's perspective book. The data is processed from the book "Al-'Arabiyyah li Al-Najah Book 1" using an integrated reading technique which is then linked to the concept of Ibrahim Al-Fauzan as well as facts on the presentation of vocabulary in other books from various sources of articles or news. Findings– This article produces 7 principles for presenting vocabulary in books, namely: 1) amount 2) practice questions 3) level of difficulty 4) reinforcement 5) structure 6) purpose and method of introduction 7) topic selection. Some of these principles are accompanied by descriptions and facts used in existing books and articles, and this makes an assessment based on the concept of Ibrahim Al-Fauzan with an assessment of the research book "Al-'Arabiyyah li Al-Najah Book 1" which is 85.7. These findings can form the basis for the concept of writing vocabulary in books as a source of student teaching as well as efforts to develop textbooks. Research Limitation– The limitations of this study are focused only on vocabulary in a teaching material, to find out how the quality of vocabulary in the book "Al-'Arabiyyah li Al-Najah Book 1" using the perspective of Ibrahim Al-Fauzan's concept. This study does not discuss the contents of the book as a whole, but only on the form of vocabulary that will be studied in depth.

Abstract

Purpose – This article analyzes the components and implementation of the Arabic curriculum at Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Banjarmasin, focusing on how it addresses the evolving needs of students while integrating traditional Islamic knowledge with modern education. Design/methodology/approach – The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation to collect data. Findings- The findings reveal that the Arabic curriculum at the pesantren combines classical Islamic texts with general education, offering a balanced educational model. This integration allows students to understand religious texts in Arabic while acquiring modern knowledge. Despite the benefits, challenges arise in adapting to technological advancements and meeting the demands of a rapidly changing global context. The study also identifies that the curriculum model at Al-Hikmah aligns with a holistic approach, which integrates intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and physical development. The research highlights the need for continuous curriculum evaluation to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Research Limitations/Implications – This study is limited by its specific focus on a single pesantren, which may not fully represent other pesantren models in the region. Further research is recommended to explore broader implications for the integration of Arabic language education within semi-modern pesantren systems.

Abstract

Purpose- This study aimed to implement the Arba’in method in qawaʿid learning to bring significant improvement in students’ Arabic language acquisition at MTs Ibtidaul Falah Dawe, Kudus.  Design/Methodology/Aproach- This research used a descriptive qualitative methods, with the researcher serving as the primary instrument. The data included both primary and secondary sources. Data analysis was conducted in four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification.  Finding- The study showed that the Arba’in method helped students learn Arabic, particularly in understanding grammar. This method provided a more structured learning process through the use of a textbook incorporating mind mapping techniques.  Reseah Limitation/Implications- This study examined the application of the Arba’in method in teaching qawʿid at MTs Ibtidaul Falah Kudus. The findings were specific to this educational context and may not be applicable to other institutions. The participants were seventh-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The study relied on a descriptive qualitative method involving observation and interviews. The results might have been influenced by the perspectives of both the researcher and the respondents. The time and location of the study could also have affected the context and outcomes.
