Abstract

This study aimed to develop a Canva assisted student worksheet (LKPD) based on the scientific approach that was valid, practical, and effective in improving junior high school students’ mathematical understanding of algebra. The study employed the ADDIE development model. The participants consisted of 30 junior high school students in West Bandung Regency. Data were collected through a pretest and posttest consisting of five algebra questions, questionnaires, interviews, and media validation. The data were analyzed using the normalized gain (N Gain) test. The results showed that the feasibility of the Canva assisted scientific approach based LKPD was categorized as very feasible. The N Gain analysis produced an average score in the high category with an effectiveness percentage classified as effective. These findings indicated that the Canva assisted scientific approach based LKPD was feasible and effective in improving junior high school students’ understanding of algebra.

Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low mathematical communication skills. The research aimed to develop an interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline 3 that is feasible and effective in improving students’ mathematical communication skills through a Problem-Based Learning model. This study used a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The subjects were tenth-grade students at a vocational high school in West Bandung Regency. Data collection instruments included media expert and material expert validation, mathematical communication skills tests, observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques consisted of normality test, Wilcoxon test, and Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that product validity reached 98,61% based on material expert validation and 94,44% based on media expert validation, both of which were categorized as highly valid. The practicality level of the product reached of 95,21% on-to-one trial, 81,50% small group trial, and 83,94% field trial, all categorized as highly practical. The effectiveness of the product was indicated by the N-Gain score of 0,76 in the experimental class and 0,49 in the control class. It can be concluded that learning using the SiTenar media is  more interactive and more effective in improving students’ mathematical communication skills compared to conventional learning.

Abstract

Canver (Canva-Animaker) is an innovative interactive learning media integrating Canva visual design and Animaker. This study develops this learning media combined with a Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities in statistics. The aim of this study is to produce interactive learning media that meets validity, practicality, and effectiveness criteria. The research method used is the ADDIE model. The study involved 25 eighth-grade students at a junior high school in Cimahi. The instruments included expert validation sheets, student responsse questionnaires, interview guides, documentation, and problem-solving ability tests. The results indicate that the media is highly valid, with average validation scores of 89.58% (media) and 89.74% (material). Practicality is shown by student responsses with an average score of 89.74%, categorized as very practical. The media is also effective in improving students’ problem-solving abilities, with an N-Gain score of 0.77 (high category). The t-test shows a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05). Thus, Canva-Animaker media with a PBL approach is an innovative alternative for mathematics learning.

Abstract

The creation of animated videos for mathematics lessons has so far focused solely on visual presentation, without linking the subject matter to students’ everyday experiences. Furthermore, the use of animated videos to teach relations and functions is still rarely discussed in media development research. Given this situation, a study will be conducted using an R&D method based on the ADDIE model to describe the development process, test the feasibility, and determine the effectiveness of the VACON media at a junior high school in West Bandung, involving 6 students in a pilot test and 25 students in a classroom test as the experimental sample. The study results showed a feasibility rating of 90.00% from the media expert, 92.50% from the content expert, and 87.50% from the language expert. The average N-Gain score was 0.82, which falls into the high category. Additionally, student responses to this media reached an average of 88.40%, indicating a “Very Practical” level of practicality in its implementation. Thus, the VACON media, utilizing Doratoon and Canva, has been proven to be valid, practical, and effective as an innovative solution.

Abstract

This reseacrh aims to develop SmartStat Web based on Problem Based Learning and test its effectiveness in improving students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The research subjects consisted of 6 students in one-to-one trials, 25 students in small-group trials, 22 students in field trials, and 22 students in each experimental and control class. Data were collected through validation sheets, observations, interviews, response questionnaires, and mathematical critical thinking ability tests. The results showed that SmartStat Web was very valid with a percentage of 92.17% in the media aspect and 88% in the material aspect, and very practical with a percentage of 85.25%, 87.70%, and 88.20% at each trial stage. The media was also proven effective with an N-Gain value of 0.78 in the experimental class which was higher than the control class at 0.60 and the t-test results showed a significant difference. Thus, SmartStat Web based on Problem Based Learning is declared valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This investigation centers on the creation of interactive educational resources utilizing Canva, specifically those integrated with the Discovery Learning model. Furthermore, the study examines the media's validity, ease of use, and effectiveness in enhancing the mathematical reasoning capabilities of junior high school students. The chosen research methodology is R&D (Research and Development), which adheres to the ADDIE model. Data collection involved expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and mathematical reasoning ability assessment instruments in the form of pretests and posttests. The results verification indicated that the developed media achieved a "very good" standard and was suitable for use in teaching and learning environments. The implementation of this media demonstrated an increase in mathematical reasoning abilities among students in the experimental group, notably outperforming students in the control group. Based on statistical analysis, it can be concluded that the Canva-based interactive learning media, which incorporates the Discovery Learning model, has proven effective in improving the mathematical reasoning skills of junior high school students.
