Abstract

Soil water availability is the basis for plant growth, so its availability is the main key for coffee plants growing in South Malang. Fluctuations in groundwater content, especially in the dynamics of climate change, must be managed so that plant water needs are always met, while remote sensing is able to provide aspects of estimating the condition of soil water content in coffee plantations in South Malang. This research was conducted from July 2019 to October 2019. The water content in coffee plantations can be estimated by combining the vegetation index value and soil surface temperature because coffee plants have shade. The method used in this research is to make a tentative map obtained from the overlay between the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Land Surface Temperature (LST) maps, the data is then regressed with the field results. The selection of research locations is based on the area of the coffee plantation using the smallest pixel, which is in an area of 3 km square meters. Each location of the research location was carried out four times for sampling the soil moisture content. The results showed that the correlation value between water content and the estimation results had a correlation of 0.814, with a regression value of 0.663 and a probability value of 0.9226.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influences of soil processing and giving straw mulch then interaction between these two factors on the growth and yield of soybeans. The first factor were soil processing which consisted of three treatment levels : without tillage, one time tillage, and twice tillage, The second factor were giving straw mulchwhich consisted of three treatment levels: without giving mulch, giving mulch 4 tons per hectare and giving mulch 8 tons per hectare. The number of replicates was three times, there were 9 treatment combinations and 27 experimental units. This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). This research had observed there were height plant, fresh and dry weight Stover, number of pods per stalk, dry weight seeds per plot and dry weight 100 soybean seeds. The results showed that Soil Processing and giving straw mulch had a significant effect on soybean growth and yield. The best growth and yields were obtained by twice tillage it was 212.52 g/plot, while due to the application of mulch, the best growth and yields were 8 tones/ha it was 222.12 g/plot. There was no significant interaction between soil processing and giving straw mulch on all observed to the growth and yield of soybeans.

Abstract

Conventional propagation of patchouli plants has not met the demand for superior seeds. Propagation of superior seeds in a relatively short time can be done using in vitro culture techniques. This research aims to determine the induction of patchouli shoots of Tapaktuan, Lhokseumawe and Sidikalang varieties with Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) concentrations in vitro. This research was carried out at the Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University. This research used a Randomized Block Design with a 3x4 factorial pattern consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was patchouli variety which consisted of 3 levels, namely: Tapaktuan, Lhokseumawe, and Sidikalang. The second factor was BAP concentration which consisted of 4 levels, namely: 0 (control), 0.5, 1, and 1.5 mg L-1. The results showed that the percentage of live patchouli explants was 100% in all treatments. The time and percentage of shoot emergence tended to be faster in the Lhokseumawe + BAP 0.5 mgL-1, namely 17.5 days after planting (DAP) and 100%. The number of patchouli explant shoots tended to be high in the Sidikalang + BAP 0.5 mgL-1, namely 12 shoots. The number of patchouli explant leaves tended to be high in the Lhokseumawe + BAP 1 mgL-1, namely 13 sheets. Patchouli explants tended to be taller in the Sidikalang + control, namely 8 cm. The percentage of callus formation tends to be high in the varieties Tapaktuan + BAP 1 mgL-1, Sidikalang + BAP 0.5 mgL-1, Sidikalang + BAP 1 mgL-1, Tapaktuan + BAP 1.5 mgL-1, Sidikalang + BAP 1.5 mgL-1 and Sidikalang + control were above 50% at 4 WAP. The number of patchouli explant roots tended to be high in the Tapaktuan + control, namely 16.50 roots. Keywords: Aceh Patchouli, BAP, Cytokinin, Explant, Patchouli Shoots

Abstract

Eggplant (Solanum melongena .L.) is a type of annual annual vegetable. Efforts that can be made to increase eggplant production apart from extensification, diversification and rehabilitation efforts are also through agricultural intensification efforts. One of the intensification efforts is fertilization. The use of organic fertilizers has a major influence on the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil. The application of organic fertilizers is considered to be very supportive of efforts to increase the productivity of agricultural crops. This research was conducted in the experimental field of Alwashliyah University in Simalingkar B from August to November 2022. This research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK), Factor I, namely solid organic fertilizer (P) which consists of 5 factors including P1 = Kasgot Fertilizer, P2 = Vermicompost Fertilizer, P3 = Cow Manure, P4 = Chicken Manure, P5 = Rice Husk Biochar. Factor II is variety (V), including V1 = Mustang variety, V2 = Reza variety. The results showed that the use of organic fertilizers had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter and number of primary branches. The highest eggplant plant height was in the treatment of using cassava fertilizer, which was 58.78 cm. The use of eggplant plant varieties had no significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of primary branches and stem diameter. The highest number of leaves was found in the Reza variety, which was 11.44 leaves.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the growth and yield of ginger are affected by the growing media and varieties, and how they interact with each other. This research was conducted at the Gayo Lues Laboratory and PSDKU at the University of Syiah Kuala Gayo Lues. The design used in this study was a 4 x 2 Factorial Randomized Block Design with 3 replications, so there were 8 treatment combinations and 24 experimental units with a total of 72 plants. Plant height, number of tillers per clump, main stem diameter, fresh chestnut weight, tuber weight, tuber diameter, and dry chestnut weight were the parameters observed. The results of this study indicated that the media and variety treatment had a very significant effect on plant height at 120 HSPT. Stem diameter and fresh chestnut weight were significantly affected by the varietal treatment, as well as plant height and tuber weight, but not by other parameters. In ginger growth and yield, there was no significant interaction between growing media and varieties. The treatment of citronella waste and coffee peel waste planting media with red ginger varieties produced the best plant growth.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana konsentrasi pupuk hayati mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan produksi kembang kol dataran rendah. dampak pemanfaatan banyak kultivar kembang kol terhadap produksi dan pertumbuhan kembang kol dataran rendah. interaksi antara kultivar kembang kol yang berbeda dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi kembang kol dataran rendah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan pola faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun parameter tinggi tanaman pada 20 HST, diameter bunga, dan berat brangkasan tanaman per sampel dipengaruhi secara signifikan oleh konsentrasi pupuk hayati, tinggi tanaman pada 10 dan 30 HST, jumlah daun, dan produksi per hektar tidak berpengaruh signifikan. terkena dampak. Sedangkan diameter bunga, bobot brangkasan tanaman per sampel, produktivitas per hektar, dan jumlah daun pada umur 20 HST sangat dipengaruhi oleh varietas. Di sisi lain, dampaknya dapat diabaikan pada semua metrik tinggi tanaman dan dampak besar pada parameter jumlah daun pada 10 dan 30 HST. Kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Samudra Kota Langsa Provinsi Aceh dijadikan sebagai lokasi penelitian ini. Lokasinya berada sekitar 10 meter di atas permukaan laut. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2023 dengan jangka waktu tiga bulan.

Abstract

Wereng coklat merupakan salah satu hama utama tanaman padi karena dapat menimbulkan kerusakan yang parah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepadatan populasi dan tingkat intensitas serangan hama wereng coklat di Distrik  Tanah Miring Kabupaten Merauke. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sampel serangga diambil dengan menggunakan aspirator pada lima ubin yang berukuran 2x2 meter, kemudian diamati seluruh populasi tumbuhan pada setiap ubin. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 3 varietas padi yang dominan di 5 kampung. Data dianalisis berdasarkan rumus kepadatan populasi dan intensitas serangan hama wereng coklat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepadatan populasi hama wereng coklat tertinggi terdapat pada varietas RL sebanyak 145 individu di Kampung Sumber Harapan, dan terendah pada varietas MR 308 sebanyak 91 individu di Kampung Yasa Mulya. Selanjutnya intensitas serangan hama wereng coklat tertinggi terdapat pada varietas RL di Kampung Sumber Harapan dengan persentase sebesar 8,91%, dan intensitas terendah pada varietas Inpari 70 di Kampung Isanombias sebesar 2,25% yang termasuk kategori “ringan”. pada tingkat kerusakan yang di alami.

Abstract

     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi pupuk hayati dan penggunaan beberapa varietas kedelai serta interaksi antara penggunaan konsentrasi pupuk hayati dan beberapa varietas kedelai terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu: Faktor Konsentrasi Pupuk Hayati Feng Shou  (K) ada 4 taraf: K0= 0 ml/l air, K1= 5 ml/l air, K2=  10  ml/l air, K3=  15 ml/l air dan faktor jenis varietas kedelai (V) ada 3 taraf: V1= Varietas Gobogan, V2 = Varietas Agromulyo, V3 = Varietas Dega 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi pupuk hayati hanya berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter berat biji/plot dan berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter lainnya hasil pengamtan terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan K2 (10 ml/l air. Perlakuan varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter  tinggi tanaman 15 HST, parameter umur berbunga, jumlah cabang produktif, dan berat biji/plot. berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman 30 HST dan berat 100 biji  hasil terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan V2 (Varietas Agromulyo). Interaksi antara konsentrasi pupuk hayati dan beberapa varietas kedelai memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parmeter yang diamati.

Abstract

Penggunaan benih berkualitas tinggi merupakan salah satu faktor yang menentukan keberhasilan budidaya tanaman. Oleh karenanya, penentuan waktu panen yang tepat ketika benih berada pada fase masak fisiologis merupakan faktor krusial yang menentukan daya simpan dan daya berkecambah benih. Percobaan ditujukan untuk mengamati korelasi parameter-parameter fisiologis (kadar air, indeks vigor, dan daya berkecambah) terhadap parameter-parameter biokimiawi (total karotena dan kandungan klorofil benih) untuk menentukan tingkat kematangan benih cabai (Capsicum sp.). Percobaan yang menggunakan 3 taraf kemasakan benih berdasar warna kulit buah cabai ini memperlihatkan kemungkinan deteksi kemasakan benih secara fisiologi maupun biokimiawi. Masak fisiologi benih cabai yang diuji tercapai pada saat kulit buah berwarna oranye, ketika parameter-parameter pengamatan fisiologi (IV dan DB) serta biokimiawi (karoten dan klorofil) mencapai titik tertinggi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik agronomi beberapa varietas padi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi, serta untuk mengetahui pendapatan usahatani padi sawah di Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini diadakan di Desa Aneuk Glee Kecamatan Indrapuri dan Desa Teudayah Kecamatan Kuta Malaka kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Mei 2022. Objek penelitian ini adalah padi varietas inpari 45 dan inpari 30 yang diambil dari dua hektar lahan sawah beririgasi teknis milik petani, dan sawah beririgasi semiteknis seluas 1400m2 milik petani. Analisis pendapatan dalam penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengetahui besarnya pendapatan yang diperoleh petani responden pada usahatani padi sawah di desa Aneuk Glee dan Desa Teudayah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa usahatani padi di desa Aneuk Glee dan Teudayah layak untuk di usahakan, hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai R/C yang diperoleh sebesar 3,16  dan 2,47.
