Abstract

In the course of weekly fabric procurement from suppliers, Cahaya Sandang frequently encounters challenges in determining the optimal quantity of fabrics to be ordered. The uncertainty surrounding order quantities has led to a loss of consumer confidence for Cahaya Sandang. To address this issue, a research initiative was undertaken, focusing on the development of an information system for forecasting fabric sales at the Cahaya Sandang Store. The fabric sales forecasting system was designed using Python, incorporating various forecasting methodologies such as moving average, exponential smoothing, linear regression, Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA), and Long Short Memory Term (LSTM). These designated forecasting methods are exclusively applied to predict cloth sales for the subsequent week. The determination of forecasting methods was based on the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) values derived from the existing forecasting models. The findings affirm the efficacy of the five employed methods, demonstrating a maximum error value below 10% for the prediction of Cahaya Sandang fabric sales. By implementing this fabric sales forecasting system, the decision-making process regarding fabric orders from suppliers is expected to become more streamlined and targeted.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a generalization of a phenomenon found during the research process by collecting various kinds of library source material. The variables used in this study are education, discipline (work ethic), and work (technical) ability to drive employee performance. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach. The basic postulate (basic assumption) in this study is that higher education/training (as a hard skill competency) and discipline (as a soft skill competency) play a role in improving employee performance. This basic postulate or basic assumption is based on an empirical study of past research. The results of the study show the same symptoms where the level of education, discipline (work ethic as a manifestation of soft skills), and technical abilities (hard skills) can drive employee performance improvement.

Abstract

In recent years, the issue of employee performance has become crucially important to the development and achievement of organizational goals and objectives. This study investigates the elements influencing job satisfaction to enhance employee performance at MTN Rwanda and establishes relationships between the independent variable, mediator variable (job satisfaction), and supportive employee performance. The primary tool for collecting data for this study will be questionnaires. We will review theoretical and empirical studies to identify the variables that could affect employee performance. Purposive sampling involved 198 selecting from (subordinate, lower management, middle management and senior management). The study will employ quantitative methodology to analyze the variables using the SMART PLS software. The findings of this research are several. First, salary and reward have a positive and significant influence on employee performance in Rwanda's telecommunications industry. Second, the development of talent has no significant effect on employee performance. Third, the impact of managers has no significant effect on employee performance. Fourth, organizational structure has a positive and important influence on employee performance. Sixth, job satisfaction does mediate the relationship between (the development of talent, salary and reward, the effect of managers and organization structure) and employee performance.

Abstract

Loan mobilization must be a component of any development effort because it is thought to be the most efficient way to raise productivity and living standards while attempting to end teacher poverty. The study aimed to investigate how SACCO cooperative strategies impacted members to get a loan and look into factors influencing teachers’ socio-welfare in Rwanda. A sample of 15 SACCOs out of 30 in the Rwanda region and 180 SACCO members out of 72,334 were used in the study. These were chosen using straightforward random sampling techniques. The data was collected using a questionnaire, which 100 respondents answered. Data were analyzed using an SEM with AMOS to test relationships and assess the factors influencing teachers’ socio-welfare in Rwanda. According to the correlation coefficient, model fitness, regression weights, and hypothesis, the loan requirement positively impacted socio-welfare. In contrast, loans and intervening variables had a significantly positive effect. Loan and intervening variables were the most significant variables at a 100% confidence level. Therefore, most of them are seen as SACCOs, similar to cooperatives, because they impact members’ socio-welfare of teachers.

Abstract

Purpose, The aim is to understand the influence of good corporate governance and professional management through sustainable business on organizational performance. Case study in the family business environment of an Indonesian autobus company. Study design/methodology/approach, the population in this research are PO bus company owners in Indonesia who are members of the Indonesian bus owner community. The total population is 180 companies that are members of the PO bus business community in Indonesia. Analyzing data using the SmartsPLS program, it is Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).Findings, the results of hypothesis testing, both direct and indirect effects, first, are positive and significant; second, positive and significant; the third is negative and not significant; fourth, positive and significant; fifth, positive and significant; sixth, positive and significant; and seventh , positive and significant. Originality/value, it is hoped that the results of this research will increase the amount of literature related to the title of this research and will also be useful for further researchers related to PO bus companies, with a provincial and national level scope. Therefore, the researcher suggests that future researchers use or replace or add other variables that have not been studied.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of financial performance on stock returns by considering sustainability as an intermediate variable. This study uses Structural Equation Model analysis to assess the relationship between ROI, PER, PBV, and OPM variables as a representation of economic fundamentals, ESG variables as a representation of sustainability, and the relationship between Stock Return. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of financial reports and accountability reports of public companies. The research sample consists of companies that meet the criteria set out in this study. The results of SEM analysis show that there is a significant direct influence between financial performance (ROI, PER, PBV, and OPM) and stock eturns and there is a significant direct influence between ROI, PER, PBV, and OPM and sustainability (ESG). In addition, this study also found that ESG acts as a mediator between economic fundamentals (ROI, PER, PBV, and OPM) and stock returns. The results of this study have important implications for understanding the relationship between economic fundamentals, sustainability and stock performance. This study provides empirical evidence that companies with good financial performance tend to adopt better sustainability practices, which in turn can affect stock returns. Business stakeholders, regulators and investors can use this impact to make more informed and sustainable decisions.

Abstract

This research delves into the online consumptive behaviour of Generation Z in Parangjoro Village, exploring it through the lens of Islamic economics. While Islamic teachings emphasize the importance of adhering to ethical consumption practices, the study reveals that the online shopping habits of Generation Z in Parangjoro are not fully aligned with these principles. The inclination to purchase based on desires rather than needs, coupled with a lack of consideration for product quality, underscores the existing gap between Islamic teachings and consumer practices. Factors such as convenience, affordability, and a wide array of choices in online stores significantly influence their behaviour. The impact of this consumptive behaviour manifests in social envy, financial strain, and a diminishing interest in savings. This conclusion highlights the urgency of addressing this misalignment by promoting Islamic economic education, awareness campaigns on mindful consumption, financial management training, and active involvement of parents and society in guiding Generation Z towards more conscientious and Islamically-aligned consumption practices. The findings contribute to the ongoing discourse on harmonizing contemporary consumer behaviour with the principles of Islamic economics.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and implement a strategy for determining the cost of production using cost plus pricing. The basic assumption of this research is that there are several MSMEs that still use conventional methods to determine the cost of production. The implication is that MSMEs have the potential to lose profits because the prices set are still far from actual profits. The application of the cost-plus pricing method in MSMEs can not only increase profit potential but also be used to promote products with price discounts. The research results show that there is a 640% increase in profits when MSMEs apply the cost-plus pricing method. In addition, at certain moments, MSMEs can provide discounts of up to 20% without losing profits. The limitation of this research lies in the scale of the object which is still small. Thus, this research cannot be generalized to be applied to different objects. However, this research provides recommendations for further research with larger objects, so that the differences can be seen.
