Abstract

This research investigates Sharia green crowdfunding as a sustainable mechanism for halal Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. It addresses the gap between environmentally conscious financing and Islamic finance principles, demonstrating how this integration supports the objectives of a green economy. Through a systematic literature review, the study identifies the challenges faced by halal MSMEs. It evaluates the effectiveness of Sharia-compliant financing in improving access to capital. The findings indicate that Sharia-based crowdfunding platforms are crucial for advancing sustainable finance and are aligned with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. The proposed Sharia Green Crowdfunding model provides a new framework for acquiring capital, promoting responsible business practices, and enhancing collaboration between Islamic Financial Institutions and halal MSMEs. Ultimately, this contributes to national economic development. In conclusion, Sharia Green Crowdfunding is vital for Indonesia's ambition to become a global hub for a sustainable Islamic economy. Public interest statements This research enhances the discussion on sustainable development while following Islamic financial principles. It can act as a model for other emerging economies aiming to blend religious and environmental factors into their financial systems.

Abstract

The Sharia financial literacy and inclusion level in North Sumatra, Indonesia, is lower than that of conventional finance. This research analyzes the Financial Services Authority's (OJK) strategies to enhance Sharia financial literacy and inclusion. Utilizing qualitative methods, including interviews and document analysis, the study reveals that OJK has implemented initiatives like the Sharia Financial Literacy Safari program, developed innovative products like Sharia Student Savings, and partnered with Sharia fintech providers to leverage digital technology. While these efforts have improved public understanding and access to sharia financial services, challenges still need to be addressed, including lack of awareness and limited infrastructure. Public interest statements The study concludes that additional steps, such as improving cross-sector cooperation and educational initiatives, are necessary to promote sharia finance's growth in the region further.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing the intention to consume halal food and to assess its impact on physical well-being. The research is framed within the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which includes constructs such as attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, religiosity, food safety, nutritional quality, and behavioral intention, along with their effects on individual physical well-being. The analysis employs Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). It is based on responses from 307 participants in Tasikmalaya, West Java. The main finding reveals that religiosity, food safety, and nutritional quality do not significantly influence a Muslim's choice to consume halal food. This implies that the behavior surrounding halal food consumption is not necessarily dependent on religious beliefs, food safety, or nutritional content. Nonetheless, halal food consumption behavior can substantially positively impact the physical well-being of Muslims. Public interest statements This research is important for society as it highlights the role of consuming halal food in promoting physical well-being. This finding is valuable for both consumers and food producers. It underscores the health benefits of consumers choosing halal food beyond religious reasons. For producers and policymakers, the research stresses the need to improve access to affordable halal food and promote its health benefits, potentially leading to healthier communities.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of internship experience, motivation, and job interest on work readiness, with the campus atmosphere serving as an intervening variable among students at the Islamic University of North Sumatra. The sample consisted of 100 participants, and data were collected through questionnaires—the analysis employed regression techniques to evaluate the relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that internship experience positively influences the campus atmosphere. At the same time, motivation does not show a significant effect. Additionally, job interest positively impacts the campus atmosphere. All three factors—internship experience, motivation, and job interest—positively affect work readiness. However, the campus atmosphere does not significantly influence work readiness. The analysis results show that the campus atmosphere does not influence how internship experience affects work readiness. It also does not affect how motivation and job interest relate to work readiness.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate user perceptions of the performance of m-banking applications at Islamic banks by analyzing user reviews on the Google Play Store from 4 July 2023 to 4 July 2024. The research results show that the BSI Mobile and Jago Syariah applications are the most downloaded and have the most reviews, indicating a high number of active users. Analysis using the Bag of Words (BoW) and Support Vector Regression (SVR) methods shows excellent performance in predicting user sentiment, with an accuracy of more than 90% on six sharia m-banking applications, where the Aladin Syariah application achieved the highest accuracy of 98. 54%. Research findings show that positive perceptions of the app's ease of use contribute to user loyalty. At the same time, complaints regarding the login and registration process must be improved. Positive reviews such as "good job" and "steady" dominate the BSI Mobile and Jago Syariah applications, reflecting the popularity of both applications. Public interest statement The unique features such as gold transactions on the Pegadaian Syariah application provide competitive advantages that other Sharia banks can adopt. These results provide strategic insights for Islamic banks to improve and develop their m-banking services.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between Islamic Work Ethics (IWE) and organizational commitment (COM), with thriving at work (THR) as a mediating factor. Data were collected from 172 employees across various sectors in Jakarta and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the JAMOVI program. The findings reveal that while there is no direct relationship between IWE and organizational commitment, thriving at work fully mediates this relationship, highlighting the importance of fostering vitality and growth in the workplace. Furthermore, gender-specific analysis shows that the relationships among IWE, thriving, and commitment are significant only for female employees. This study contributes to the literature by uncovering the mediating role of thriving at work in the IWE-commitment relationship, a perspective underexplored in prior research. It also offers new insights into how gender influences the impact of Islamic work ethics on workplace outcomes, providing a nuanced understanding of these dynamics. Public Interest Statement The gender-specific findings further emphasize the importance of tailoring strategies to address men's and women's unique needs, ensuring a more equitable and supportive workplace for all.
