Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Literacy Camp program in improving the Minimum Competency Assessment results of grade V students at SDN Geritan, Pati District, Central Java. The background of this study is based on the low literacy and numeracy skills of students, as indicated by the pre-test results, which showed 70% for literacy and 43% for numeracy. The Literacy Camp program was designed as a strategic intervention involving various creative and interactive learning activities, including reading sessions, educational games, and group discussions. This study employed a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, involving 28 Grade V students as research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and pre-test and post-test. The results showed that after participating in the Literacy Camp program, there was a significant increase in students' minimum competency assessment results. Specifically, the percentage of students able to answer literacy questions correctly increased to 77%, and the percentage of students able to answer numeracy questions correctly rose to 72%. These findings suggest that the Literacy Camp program is effective in enhancing students' literacy and numeracy skills while also offering a fun and engaging learning experience. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the development of similar programs in other schools to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to find out in depth about the impact of playing online games on changes in student attitudes and interest in learning, both positive and negative impacts. The type of research method used is phenomenological qualitative research, which observes the impact of the phenomenon of online gaming among fourth grade elementary school students on changes in their attitude and interest in learning. The subjects in this finding are fourth grade students of SDN Rangkapan Jaya Baru with a total of 28 students. This research was conducted for 3 meetings at SDN Rangkapan Jaya Baru. The data collection techniques in this study were interviews with teachers, students, and parents of fourth grade students of SDN Rangkapan Jaya Baru in Depok City, questionnaires, and documentation regarding the impact of online games on changes in attitude and interest in learning which were conducted for 3 days. From the results that have been carried out, all fourth grade students of SDN Rangkapan Jaya Baru play online games. With various types of online games that they play. Students in class IV have different frequency and duration of time. The results of this study have a negative and positive impact on changes in student attitudes and interest in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop and test the feasibility, effectiveness, and practicality of the Lacer (Lagu Ceria) media assisted by the Think Pair Share model with the hope of improving student learning outcomes. This study falls under the category of research and development (R&D) using the Bord and Gall model. A total of 40 students from grades IV and V at SD Negeri Bringin 02 for the 2024/2025 academic year participated in this study. A small-scale pilot test was conducted with 12 students from grade V, while the large-scale trial involved 28 students from grade IV. Data was collected through various non-test techniques, such as interviews, observations, questionnaires, grade sheets, and documentation. Additionally, test techniques, including pre-tests and post-tests, were conducted. The validation results from subject matter experts, language experts, and media experts indicated that the Lacer media was deemed “highly suitable” with an average score of 81%, reflecting the media's suitability. The level of satisfaction, categorized as “very good,” was evident from the survey responses filled out by teachers and students, with scores of 91% from teachers and 88.5% from students, indicating the practicality of the media. The effectiveness of the Lacer media was proven by the t-test results, which showed a significance value of 0.001 (<0.05) and an N-gain test value of 0.58, which falls into the “moderate” category. The criteria for feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness in improving learning outcomes in Pancasila Education for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Bringin 02 on the topic of the history of the formulation of Pancasila have been met by the Lacer media assisted by the Think Pair Share model.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang penting dan harus dikuasai oleh siswa sejak pendidikan dasar. Namun, fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis siswa sekolah dasar masih tergolong rendah, terutama dalam menghasilkan teks yang terstruktur dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pendekatan genre-based terhadap keterampilan menulis teks sederhana siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-experimental dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen (n=30) dan kelas kontrol (n=30). Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes menulis yang dianalisis menggunakan rubrik penilaian holistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan menulis siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol (t=4,87; p<0,05). Nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen (78,4) lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan kelas kontrol (63,2). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan genre-based efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks sederhana siswa sekolah dasar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penerapan pendekatan berbasis genre dalam pembelajaran menulis di sekolah dasar sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi literasi siswa

Abstract

The use of the learning model is based on a teaching that involves the conscious action of controlling the learning process of students. The learning process of students is a fundamental action in all forms of education where learning not only involves results but also the process of acquiring knowledge and the quality of learning outcomes is determined by the quality of the process with the interaction in the learning process.This study discusses the following problems: (1) The form of implementation of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model in social studies learning in grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Cempaga Bangli, (2) Obstacles and efforts made in its implementation, (3) Implications of the implementation of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model in learning. This qualitative descriptive research aims to find out the form of implementation, obstacles, efforts and implications of the implementation of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model in science learning in grade V students at SD Negeri 1 Cempaga Bangli. This research was analyzed using constructivism theory, behaviorism theory, and motivation theory. The data collection method uses observation, interview, documentation studies, and literature studies. Based on the results of the study, it shows that (1) The form of implementation of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model in social studies learning refers to several stages that are carried out, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. (2) The obstacles faced include difficulties in guiding students with different abilities, difficulties in monitoring group members evenly, limited time, lack of courage of students in communicating and limited classrooms for group discussion activities. Efforts to overcome these obstacles include arranging the division of assignments in groups, providing written discussion guides, managing time and utilizing infrastructure, and organizing classrooms. (3) The implementation of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model has positive implications for students' learning attitudes and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop an innovative and effective learning media in learning activities using the KOKELOJO (Jombang Local Wisdom Comics) media that can be used by teachers and students in improving the ability to identify residential environments that focus on the value of local wisdom of the residential environment, especially in Jombang Regency which is integrated into the Pancasila Education class IV elementary school learning subjects. The background of this research is based on the low integration of local cultural values and the development of learning media based on local wisdom values that are integrated into learning activities. The type used in this study is that this type of research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The test subjects amounted to 42 elementary school grade IV students. The data collection technique was carried out at the effectiveness test stage through pretest and posttest tests through a one-group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis with N-Gain calculation to find out the improvement in student learning outcomes after using media. The results showed an increase in the average score from the pretest of 67.33 to 84.61 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.53 which was classified as a medium category. This indicates an improvement in students' cognitive abilities, especially in identifying the living environment with a local cultural value-based approach. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that KOKELOJO media is effectively used in learning Pancasila Education in fostering students' appreciation of the diversity of local cultures in the residential environment.
