Abstract

The change in the national curriculum policy from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum requires readiness and strategic adaptation from educational units, particularly in the aspect of leadership. The participatory leadership style is considered relevant in supporting the successful implementation of this curriculum because it emphasizes collaboration, teacher involvement, and joint decision-making. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the participatory leadership style of the head of the madrasa and to examine its influence on the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Ruhul Islam Anak Bangsa (RIAB) Aceh Besar. The research method employs a quantitative approach with survey techniques through Likert questionnaires to 27 respondents consisting of teachers and madrasah principals. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability and is deemed suitable. The results of descriptive analysis show that the participative leadership style is categorized as "Effective" (80.2%), while the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is classified as "Fairly Effective" (78.7%). However, the results of simple linear regression testing indicate that the participative leadership style does not have a significant effect on curriculum implementation (t hitung 2.009 < t tabel 2.060; p > 0.05). These findings suggest that there are other more dominant factors in determining the success of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation in madrasah

Abstract

The moral crisis plaguing modern society requires a philosophical reference that can offer ethical and profound solutions. One important figure in the classical Islamic philosophy who is relevant in this context is Ibn Miskawaih. This research aims to deeply examine Ibn Miskawaih’s ethical thought and its relevance to contemporary moral education. Using the library research method and a descriptive qualitative approach, this study reviews Ibn Miskawaih's main work, Tahdzīb al-Akhlāq wa Taṭhīr al-Aʿrāq, as well as relevant secondary literature. The research results indicate that Ibn Miskawaih's ethical thought emphasizes the integration of Greek philosophical rationality, especially Aristotelianism, with Islamic moral values. He underscores the importance of reason, moral habituation, and the purification of the soul as the foundation for the formation of the ideal human character (insān kāmil). His rational and spiritual approach makes ethics not only a guideline for individuals but also a pillar of harmonious social life. The implications of these findings suggest that Ibn Miskawaih's concept of ethics is still very relevant in shaping sustainable and transformative character education in the modern era

Abstract

Parenting patterns have an important role in increasing student learning motivation, this affects student activities both at school and student habits for studying at home. This study aims to determine the effect of differences in parental parenting patterns on the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at Sam-Sam 017 Public Elementary School, as well as to determine the effect of each type of democratic, authoritarian, and permissive parenting patterns on student learning motivation. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto research design. The sample in this study was all 45 students in grades IV-A and IV-B, taken through a total sampling technique. The data instrument in this study was a questionnaire. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that parental parenting patterns significantly influence student learning motivation with a significance value of 0.002 <0.05, meaning that parental parenting patterns influence student learning motivation. The differences in parenting styles of each parent have different influences which are analyzed by the respective ANOVA tests, namely authoritarian (0.000<0.05), democratic (0.019<0.05), and permissive (0.082>0.05) so that authoritarian parenting styles in this digital technology era have a very significant influence compared to democratic parenting styles on learning motivation. However, permissive parenting styles do not affect the motivation of fourth grade students at Sam-sam 017 Public Elementary School. The implications of these findings indicate that the parenting styles applied by parents have different impacts on children's learning motivation, thus requiring parents' awareness to choose parenting approaches that optimally support learning motivation.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of financial literacy education in strengthening the character of students at Islamic Boarding School SMPI Al A'la Loceret Nganjuk. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that financial literacy is effectively integrated through three dimensions: financial knowledge, attitudes, and behavior, all grounded in Islamic values such as qana’ah (contentment), amanah (trustworthiness), and responsibility. The school's contextual approach, including pocket money management systems and savings practices, has successfully fostered disciplined and ethical financial habits among students. While the program focuses on basic financial concepts, it demonstrates the potential of Islamic Boarding Schools to develop value-based financial literacy. This study contributes to the literature by highlighting an alternative model of financial education that combines practical skills with character building, offering insights for Islamic educational institutions seeking to enhance their students' economic and moral competencies.
