Abstract

This research aims to find out the lingual forms and cultural meanings that appear in place naming and is studied based on the formation process, use, characteristics, and also the history of the Tontemboan language form, the local language spoken in Ranoyapo sub-district which is used as the research location. Place naming refers to the study of anthropological linguistics, which studies language and history. This research is qualitative and uses a descriptive approach. In the field of linguistics, this method is used by researchers to find out about many things related to society through language and its terminology. In collecting the data, the researcher used the method of simak and cakap from Mahsun (2007), with the aim of collecting data in the form of lingual forms and the phenomenon of naming places that appear in an utterance. Meanwhile, the commensurate and distributional methods were used to analyse the lingual form data to its smallest level. Based on the results of the research, root words dominate place naming besides being caused by affixation, reduplication, and composition. For example: Danda' [dandaɂ] 'name of the creek', Sukuyon [sukuyon] 'name of the creek', Kayong [kayoŋ] 'name of the creek', Sasano [sasano] 'name of the creek', Gawayas [gawayas] 'guava tree', Pahlawan [hero] 'hero', pa'boseng [paɂboseŋ] 'name of the creek', Ma'tenem [maɂtenəm] 'drying'. Land names with the lingual forms above are location identities in which there are aspects of domination such as water, plants, people, land, objects, stones, and animals.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in culture and local wisdom of its people, it is not surprising because Indonesia is blessed with many tribes and ethnic communities. This diversity makes Indonesia more colorful and remains intact under the guise of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. One of the unique cultures in the Indonesian capital region is the local wisdom of the Paser people, namely Mayar Sala. This tradition is part of the community's traditional conflict resolution ceremonies and has been carried out for generations. This research is a qualitative research method that describes the local wisdom of Mayar Sala and its contribution to conflict resolution in the IKN area. Data collected through in-depth interviews with the community and traditional actor as well as collection from written sources from articles, books and archives in the regional library of East Kalimantan Province. During the research process, researchers discovered many new things, such as the meaning of Mayar Sala, which means paying wrongly. Furthermore, researchers also discovered how this tradition began to exist as well as the types of Mayar Sala ceremony traditions. Researchers also discovered the inheritance from generation to generation of this tradition and its contribution to maintaining peace in the East Kalimantan region so that ideally the region was chosen as part of the new National Capital (IKN) because of the lack of conflict in the region.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how the hegemony of the Majapahit kingdom was and how trade was during the Majapahit kingdom, with the aim of the research being to find out the hegemony and trade of the Majapahit kingdom. The research method used is the library study research method, which means collecting information that is relevant to the topic or problem that is the object of research. The research results show that the Majapahit kingdom was the largest Hindu-Buddhist kingdom in Indonesia which was founded by Raden Wijaya in 1293-1527 in the 13th to 16th centuries. During the Majapahit kingdom, trade was not carried out freely. To regulate the rhythm of trade, along with taxes, in the royal bureaucracy there was a rakryan kanuruhan or "grand chancellor" who was tasked with managing foreign traders or merchants from other islands in the archipelago. The development of maritime trade in the Java Sea was closely tied to India in the early days, then expanded in the 3rd to 6th centuries with China. Specifically with China, trade is carried out by selling or purchasing unloaded cargo destined for or originating from foreign markets, or selling local products. Trading activities are focused on ports. Most imported goods are channeled into the country through a dense market circulation network.

Abstract

The maritime kingdoms in the Nusantara region hold significance in being preserved for future generations through history textbooks as sources and learning media. The challenge lies in how the local maritime kingdoms in Nusantara are presented in the high school history textbooks for Social Studies subjects. The research method employed is qualitative and descriptive, utilizing documents from the 1994, 2006, and 2013 editions of the IPS History textbooks as the data source. Data analysis is conducted by applying Teun A. van Dijk's three dimensions of text, social cognition, and social context theory. The findings reveal that several local maritime kingdoms emphasized in the high school History textbooks are the Kingdoms of Srivijaya, Majapahit, Demak, Samudra Pasai, and Makassar. These kingdoms held strategic positions in maritime regions, with ports serving as trade hubs and transit centers, alongside active community participation in maritime trade activities. A key characteristic of these kingdoms was their strong naval fleets, crucial for maintaining security and order in the sea waters.

Abstract

The conquest of Malacca in 1511 by the Portuguese became the gateway for Portuguese trading ships to the Maluku and Banda islands in search of spices. This shipping route continued to the islands of Timor and Flores with the same mission until finally capturing important ports in the archipelago as a stepping stone to controlling the spice trade in the archipelago. The mission of spreading religious teachings was also one of the important tasks of the colonialists, and to maintain their existence they built various forts as a defense mechanism. One of the forts that was considered part of Indonesia's spice route was the Portuguese fort on Ende Island. By using a historical approach, this research is intended to reveal historical events in the context of the establishment of a fort by the Portuguese on Ende Island and examine the position of this historical site for the people of Ende Island today. In this way, it is hoped that this historical relic from the past can continue to maintain its existence as a characteristic and proof of the struggle of the Indonesian people to win the independence of their homeland.

Abstract

This research endeavors to analyze two crucial aspects within the legal framework of Indonesia, primarily in response to Constitutional Court Decision Number 18/PUU-XVII/2019. First, it delves into the coercive power of debtors regarding the surrender of fiduciary guarantee objects and examines the implications of the Constitutional Court's ruling, which allows debtors the choice not to voluntarily relinquish collateral objects, thus introducing ambiguity regarding the obligations outlined in Article 30 of the Fiduciary Guarantee Law. Consequently, this decision extends the execution process, increases costs, dampens the business climate, and diminishes potential Non-Tax State Revenue. Furthermore, creditors are challenged in executing defaults, now necessitating court orders and rendering the once-efficient process laborious. Second, the research navigates the intricacies of conducting auctions for executed fiduciary guarantee objects, elucidating the legal framework governing auctions in Indonesia, where transparency, competition, certainty, accountability, and efficiency are paramount. The study unveils the procedure for initiating auctions, the criteria for prospective participants, and the guiding principles of these auctions. In conclusion, this research calls for comprehensive studies by policymakers prior to any revisions in the Fiduciary Security Law, given the growing diversity of collateral objects and the complexities stemming from Constitutional Court Decision Number 18/PUU-XVII/2019. It underscores the need to modernize movable property security laws to adapt to evolving societal dynamics, consolidate fiduciary security regulations, and streamline the procedures for auctioning executed fiduciary collateral objects
