Abstract

To successfully host the 2022 FIFA world cup, Qatar is recruiting migrant workers using the kafala system. However, this system was criticized by international organizations because it was considered contrary to human rights, and asked Qatar to reform it. This study aims to discuss the role of the 2022 FIFA World Cup as a catalyst for the reform of the Kafala System in Qatar. This study uses a qualitative methodology through literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the 2022 FIFA World Cup has succeeded in encouraging reform of the Kafala system, both in terms of regulation and implementation. Positive responses were made by various international human rights and labor organizations, although some did not respond and even responded negatively, especially organizations that support LGBT.

Abstract

The research purpose was to develop and determine feasibility of interactive multimedia instructional game model. The research method used R&D with 4D stages. The reseach was conducted grade V in SD NEGERI 3 Batudaa Kabupaten Gorontalo Provinsi Gorontalo. The result was average score of 91% from media design experts was very feasible criteria, the material experts obtained an average of 85% was very feasible criteria and the practitioner experts obtained an average of 98% was very feasible criteria. Based on this, the interactive multimedia instructional games model was suitable for use for grade V in water cycle concept.

Abstract

The Malay ethnic community of Rawak Sekadau still practices traditional medicine with the Sintak Pedorak method, especially to cure diseases caused by spirits/unseen beings. This study aims to explain the process of traditional medicine carried out with the Sintak Pedorak method. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that before the treatment process was carried out, it was preceded by preparing materials that would be given spells with the intention of treating those who recovered. This traditional healing method still exists and is trusted by the Rawak Malay community as a powerful method.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study what drives the people in Batam City to travel/tourism after the recent pandemic, with a focus on the mechanism of citizens perceptions of Covid-19 that influences tourism intentions to travel abroad. The primary data was taken from an internet questionnaire based on Google Form. The number of valid questionnaire data to be processed is 188 questionnaires. The study is a quantitative research with the Structural Equation Model (SEM) as the analytical technique applied. The research model develops a Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) with several other variables considered relevant to this study. According to the findings, post-pandemic travel plans were significantly influenced by participants attitudes, subjective norms, and perceptions of their own behavioral control. Then perceptions of Covid-19 were also stated to have a significant influence on non-pharmaceutical interventions, while non-pharmaceutical intervention variables could not yet be declared capable of mediating relationship between perceptions of Covid-19 and post-pandemic travel intentions.

Abstract

The research objective was to see changes in elementary school students' mastery of the concept of the water cycle using the RADEC model. This study uses a quantitative method with true experimental pre test-post test control group design. Based on the research results, score mean pre test and post test Mastery of concepts using the RADEC model achieves a score of 62 for pre test and 79 for post test. Meanwhile, using the conventional model achieved a score of 66 for pre test and 77 for post test. This shows that the use of the RADEC model makes a significant change in students' mastery of concepts.

Abstract

Government utilized outbreak s fear to construct obedience, it was similar to Nganjuk’s Government. Nganjuk’s society experienced a repression during this situation, they were not be able to do their daily collective activities. This research is aimed unpacked analysis of society’s strategy during the repressive situation during the existence of PSBB policy. Ethnography and interview was conducted to recognize the aspects and details, also descriptive qualitative research are used in order to build a fundamental arguments. The result showed that Karang Taruna Cahaya Indah Rembol produced (encoding) and interpreted (decoding) ghost cosplay parade as a strategy to deceive PSBB policy. Those process are the forms of resistence and resilience toward PSBB policy or goverment as stakeholders. Kata kunci: masyarakat desa; pandemi; modernisme; spiritualisme; dan lokalitas

Abstract

There are various issues faced by college students while learning in college, which is why it is important to conduct evaluations to measure the success rate of the learning system. This research purposes to intended to analyze the problems encountered in learning so that solutions can be found, moreover the evaluation aims to assess the success of leraning that has been implemented. This research uses a qualitative and evaluative method of approach (discrepancy model's) with 4 evaluation dimensions (design, installation, process, and product). The result shows that overall, that design evaluation and installation evaluation are in the good category, process evaluation needs to be improved due to decreased attendance in the learning process, and product evaluation is considered good.

Abstract

Pitung dal is one of the arts of the Alor people which is less well known and appreciated by the people. This study aims to describe the organology of Pitung dal. The method used is descriptive qualitative through unstructured interview techniques, direct observation and documentation. The results of the study concluded that Pitung dal is an art that is played together consisting of wind instruments, namely: a) kanui pup, b) ma tawa, c) kelifang and d) feting taba inflatable. And consists of percussion instruments, namely: bo’bo and feting taba at. The art of Pitung dal music is part of the culture of the Alor people which must be preserved and appreciated through culture-based education.

Abstract

The history of local interaction between the Minahasa people and the Javanese Tondano because of the many similarities between many aspects of the life of these people, especially peaceful family ties, it is predicted that there will be no ripples of conflict in the future in Kampung Jawa Tondano which is too significant. This research will describe how the Javanese Tondano people and the Minahasa people interact in the Jawa Tondano Village. This study uses a qualitative research approach. According to the findings of this study, the relationship between the Tondano Javanese Muslim community and the Minahsa Christian community has never experienced conflict since the first time the Javanese arrived in Minahasa, all communities are very harmonious and respect each other among religions and also through marriage, kinship, and also their currency. as a social forum to meet two different cultures. The findings of this research are expected to be of use to academics, particularly in the fields of sociology and culture, as well as the general public.

Abstract

Increased exploration of coastal and marine areas can damage the environment and threaten ecosystem sustainability. Renewal of governance based on local values is needed. The article seeks to introduce local values in the Letu Ai and Lara Lowa rituals while offering a local value-based governance model. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Ritual analysis unravels local values: ecosystem harmonization; religiosity, social integration and the existence of customary institutions. Governance reform is directed at improving conservation points and systems; increasing ethical awareness in the form of environmental respect attitudes and behaviors; local government intervention to protect the existence of customary institutions, involving the active role of young people in maintaining ancestral heritage.
