Abstract

This study discusses the Samadiyah tradition or the practice carried out by the community to pray for the deceased person. The Samadiyah tradition in Aceh is based on an Acehnese understanding that death is a tough journey so it needs to be prepared, assisted and supported by living families. The purpose of this study is to look at the practice of the samadiyah tradition in Aceh, especially Langsa City and to review the hadiths that related to the samadiyah tradition. The type of research used is field research with a phenomenological approach and data collection methods by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that the practice of the samadiyah tradition in Aceh start by reading istighfar, shalawat to Rasulullah Saw, reading Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas, Surat al-Fatihah then reading tahlil (reading the sentence Laa ilaha illallah ) and ended with a prayer by asking and hoping that the prayer for the soul can be accepted and provide benefits to the deceased person. Samadiyah activities in Aceh, Langsa City, were led by Teungku who has specialty and who had implemented the samadiyah reading by profession and also had learnt a tarekat from specific tarekat scholars (Mursyid). This living hadith study found out that, this tradition is the result of community practice of the traditions of the Prophet taught by tarekat scholars. The Ulama or Teungku has an important role as a connector between the hadith text and society, which is then executed in the form of practice or practice continuously

Abstract

Social life can not be separated from a leadership even to the realm of the family. Leaders in the household have been regulated by state regulations, namely KHI and Law no. 1 year 74 states that "men are heads of families and women are housewives" and is reinforced by religious arguments, one of which is QS. Annisa: 34. However, the reality is that the women are the head of the family (PEKKA) in Asahan Regency, the wives are the heads of the family while the husbands are partly unemployed, die or are seriously ill. For this reason, this research was conducted to provide a religious understanding of gender traditions to the PEKKA group, and enlightenment on other religious arguments so that they understand their rights and obligations as a wife as well as husbands who are still there to know their rights and obligations as well. This paper uses a literature review and field qualitative research, where the main objective of this research is to contribute gender traditions to female heads of household (PEKKA) that religion also provides an explanation that leaders can also be held by women with existing provisions. Men and women are also partners with the applicable rights and obligations. The author finds that some of the PEKKA groups and their husbands do not understand the gender arguments, so that there are many inequalities.

Abstract

Books on takhrij hadith have appeared since the 6th century AH. In that century, people had no difficulty finding a hadith, because of their high level of knowledge and memorization. However, over time, hadith was cultivated not only by hadith experts, but also the general public. They have difficulties in searching for hadiths, especially since the previous figures did not inherit the steps of searching for hadiths. It was only in the 14th century AH, that there were figures who had concern for this problem. Experts are divided into two camps in determining who was the pioneer of the takhrij hadith method. Some say Maḥmūd al-Ṭaḥḥān, some others say Aḥmad al-Ghumārī. In this article, we discuss the pioneering debate on the takhrij hadith method. The research method used is inductive-comparative with the main references, namely the books Ḥuṣūl al-Tafrīj and Uṣūl al-Takhrīj. Apart from that, this article also discusses the takhrij hadith method which is offered by both of them. The results of this article indicate that the pioneer of the takhrij hadith method was Aḥmad al-Ghumārī, although Maḥmūd al-Ṭaḥḥān claims he has not found any figures who have written about the takhrij hadith method. As for their offer of the takhrij method, Aḥmad al-Ghumārī presents his offer in two ways, while Maḥmūd al-Ṭaḥḥān presents it in five ways.

Abstract

The Islamic Ummah has agreed that Aisha was one of the companions and wife of the Prophet. He is one of the seven most memorized hadiths. His enormous contribution to the development of Islam is proven by the more than two thousand hadiths he memorized. However, ironically, some Muslim minorities, especially the Shia school of thought, still doubt Aisyah's existence. Denying his existence so that it has implications for the history he conveys is unacceptable. It is these ideological differences that become academic anxiety, and it is necessary to conduct a study of Shia ideology in assessing friends, especially Aisyah. This was done to know the reasons and Shia foundations in assessing the existence of the companions of the Prophet. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative research methodology with the type of library research and data mining techniques with documentation. The results of this study conclude that Shia has its ideology in assessing the credibility of the companions of the Prophet. The basis used by Shia in building their ideology is the Qur'an and Hadith, with various interpretations. Thus resulting in the conclusion that all of the Prophet's companions after the Prophet died were apostates except for a few who were still saved in their religion. Included in the apostate category is Aisyah. He is a disabled person, and his transmission cannot be accepted.

Abstract

Scholars of hadith have mentioned that da'if (weak) hadiths can be used for Fadail Al-A'mal (virtuous actions), but it is uncertain which type of da'if hadith can be used as evidence. Although previous researchers have conducted numerous studies on this topic, this paper aims to discuss the validity of using da'if hadiths as evidence for Fadail al-a'mal by examining the types, conditions, and replacement hadiths of da'if narrations. The conclusions presented in this paper are based on the opinions of hadith scholars, taking into account both the advantages and disadvantages. The researcher employs an analytical study method, focusing on the da'if hadiths compiled in the book "Targhib wa At-Tarhib" in the chapter on Thaharah (purification). The findings of this study indicate that Syadid al-da'ifi refers to a category of hadith that cannot be rectified. Within the Thaharah chapter of the Kitab At-Targhib and At-Tarhib, there are 118 hadiths categorized as follows: 43 authentic hadiths, 16 hasan (good) traditions, 7 da'if traditions, and 52 traditions for which al-Hafizh al-Mundhiri (the author of the book) does not mention their authenticity. Researchers have attempted to identify da'if hadith substitutes to remove the prohibition on using da'if hadiths as evidence for Fadail Al-A'mal. Consequently, out of the seven hadiths, five da'if hadiths can be replaced. The first, third, fourth, and sixth hadiths, however, do not require replacement as they are not weak.

Abstract

Hadith has an essential role in the ethical guidelines for seeking halal sustenance. This article aims to trace the validity and quality of the hadith in Sayyid Utsman al-Batawi's work entitled "Islah al-Hal bi Thalab al-Halal", a book that discusses virtues and prohibition of people lawfully seeking sustenance with hadiths of the Prophet as its validation. The method used in this article is the Takhrij method by al-'Iraqi in his work "al-Mughni". The method involves citing hadith text, mentioning narrators from the Prophet's sahabah, and concisely listing the sources and qualities of hadith. The results are from 29 hadiths validating seeking halal sustenance in this book 19 hadiths have sahih quality, five hadiths have dha'if qualities, 17 hadiths have hasan quality, and two hadiths have not been judged due to lack of data and sources. On the other hand, the sources of hadith in this book are from Kutubuttis'ah and primary hadith books such as Mu'jam al-Thabrani and al-Mustadrak. Nevertheless, Sayyid Uthman did not appear to refer to these sources directly, but he quoted them from secondary references such as Ihya 'Ulumiddin by Imam al-Ghazali.
