This study aims to determine students' cognitive ability and self-efficacy level through diagnostic assessment of business and energetic material in grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Tambang. This research is a survey research with a quantitative approach. Data was collected by administering test instruments for cognitive diagnostic assessment questions on effort and energy material consisting of 20 multiple-choice question items and self-efficacy questionnaires consisting of 30 statement items. The collected result data is then analyzed using descriptive analysis. Descriptive analysis is used to obtain students' cognitive abilities and self-efficacy in science learning. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that students' cognitive abilities in the cognitive diagnostic assessment of students in class VIII business and energy material of SMP Negeri 4 Tambang were included in the good category with an average score of 51.80. Meanwhile, the results of the self-efficacy analysis of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Tambang are included in the high category with an average score of 3.32. For this reason, researchers recommend teachers conduct cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments periodically to determine the level of student abilities and various student conditions.

This research aims to describe the improvement in students' cognitive learning outcomes in substance pressure material through the ARIAS learning model and to determine the differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the ARIAS learning model and conventional learning models in substance pressure material. The research method used was a quasi experiment with a posttest-only control design. With data collection techniques in the form of a posttest. The sampling technique in this research used randomization. The sample in this study included classes VIII 1 and VIII 2. The results of descriptive analysis in the experimental class obtained an average cognitive learning outcome of 49.09 which was in the quite good category. Meanwhile, the control class obtained a score of 37.27, which is in the poor category. The hypothesis test result was obtained at 0.001, which means it is smaller than 0.05. There are differences in cognitive learning outcomes that apply the ARIAS learning model and apply conventional learning on substance pressure material in class VIII SMPN 2 Tanah Putih.

this study aims to determine the differences in students cognitive learning outcomes between using heuristic models and puzzle assisted media and conventinonal models in class X global warning material at SMAN 2 Pekanbaru. The research method used is a quantitative method, the population in this study is all class X students of SMAN 2 Pekanbaru and for sample selection using simple random sampling. The sample in this study was two classes, where one class consisted of 43 student. Class X.4 is the control class and X.6 is the experimental class. The instrument in this research was a written test in the form of a post-test consisting of 20 questions. The result of the data obtained are that the average value of cognitive learning outcomes for the experimental class is 87 and the control class is 75, so it can be concluded that the application of the heuristic vee learning model assisted by puzzle media is able to improve the learning outcomes of class X students on global warning material.

This research aims to describe students' cognitive learning outcomes by applying the scientific approach assisted by KIT hydrostatics and heat in heat material and to determine the differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes between learning using the scientific approach assisted by KIT hydrostatics and conventional learning in heat material at SMAN 4 Pekambaru. The research method used is quasi-experimental with data collection techniques in the form of a posttest. This research uses a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The sample in this study included class XI Engineering 1 as the experimental class and class XI Engineering 3 as the control class. The analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of research using descriptive analysis showed that the experimental class obtained an average cognitive learning outcome of 83.30 in the very high category, while the control class obtained an average cognitive learning outcome of 70.67 in the high category. The results of inferential analysis in hypothesis testing obtained a value of 0.000 with the condition p < 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in student cognitive learning outcomes between classes that apply the scientific approach assisted by KIT hydrostatics and heat and classes that apply conventional learning on heat material.

This research aims to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of students through the application of quick on the draw learning strategies. This research design uses posttest only control group design. The population of this study were all students of class XI IPA SMAN 6 Pekanbaru in the 2023/2024 school year with a sample of 71 people from class XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 5. The data analysis techniques used in this study were descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis. This research instrument is a cognitive learning outcome test consisting of 20 multiple choice questions. The results of the research in the experimental class showed an average value of 74.03% and the control class amounted to 60.71%. Based on these results, it can be seen that the cognitive learning outcomes of students increased by 13.32%. The normality test on the research data has a value of Sig. 0.180 for the experimental class and 0.81 for the control class. While the homogeneity test obtained a Sig value. 0,464. So that the quick on the draw learning strategy can be applied to Physics learning to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes.

This research aims to describe the application of the ICARE learning model assisted by PhET simulation to improve students' conceptual understanding and to determine the differences in students' conceptual understanding between classes that apply the ICARE learning model assisted by PhET simulation and classes that apply the conventional learning model in class VIII of Taruna Pekanbaru Middle School on light material. and optical instruments. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method with a nonequivalent post-test control group design. This research uses a sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The samples in this study included Tiger Kumbang 3 class as the experimental class and Macan Kumbang 2 as the control class. The results of the descriptive analysis in the experimental class obtained an average conceptual understanding of 75.8 in the good category, while in the control class the average conceptual understanding was 63.8 in the quite good category. The hypothesis test results obtained were 0.000, which is a value smaller than 0.05. There is a significant difference in student understanding of concepts between classes that apply the ICARE learning model assisted by PhET simulation and control classes that apply conventional learning models on light and optical devices.

In the era of technological and information development in the 21st century, it is important for students to improve their critical thinking skills in order to compete with the demands of an increasingly advanced era. Therefore, guided inquiry teaching is needed to train students to solve problems, make decisions, and develop critical thinking skills. This study aims to evaluate the effect of guided inquiry model with the help of PhET simulation on critical thinking skills of students of SMAN 5 Pekanbaru on dynamic fluid material. The research method used was Quasi Experiment with Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population of this research was all students of class XI SMAN 5 Pekanbaru, with samples of class XI Engineering 1 as the control class and XI Engineering 2 as the experimental class. The results showed a significant difference between the critical thinking skills of students taught using guided inquiry model assisted by PhET simulations with students taught using conventional learning models.

In physics learning, students are expected to be able to understand physics concepts thoroughly and be able to relate them to the phenomena they encounter. Based on SMAN 6 Pekanbaru, researchers highlighted that educators often find that students have concepts that are different from scientific concepts. So it is necessary to research on understanding concepts with the help of innovative learning models. The aim achieved is to determine the effect of Experiential Learning on increasing class XI students' understanding of concepts in light and optics. Quasi Experiment is the method used with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The results of the posttest understanding of concepts in the experimental class were superior to those in the control class. We can conclude that understanding of concepts in class XI light and optics at SMAN 6 Pekanbaru can be improved through the application of the Experiential Learning model.

This study aims to analyze students' needs for teaching materials in disaster mitigation learning. This research method uses quantitative descriptive research. Then analyzed and described to answer the existing problems. The subjects of the study were 53 students of the Science Education study program, University of Bengkulu, semester V. The instrument used was a questionnaire, with 3 aspects (disaster mitigation, teaching materials and learning process) and 24 questions. The results of the analysis showed that 95% of students chose the need for education about natural disaster mitigation. 11% of students did not know the Evacuation Location (gathering point) for the earthquake disaster at the University of Bengkulu and 22% of students did not know the flow map showing evacuation signs at the University of Bengkulu, so teaching materials that contain this are needed. The teaching materials needed by students are interactive and easy-to-use teaching materials, the contents of the material are clearly described in accordance with the facts in life, teaching materials that are audio-visual based (there are videos and animations), equipped with things that need to be considered in disaster mitigation and have a suitable color combination.

Understanding Physics concepts in the Physics Education Study Program at PGRI Silampari University is very important to support their field of expertise in understanding more complex material. Modern physics courses consist of various abstract concepts, including special relativity. The use of e-modules is very important to explain abstract material. The aim of this research is to determine students' interest in learning after implementing scientific-based special relativity e-modules in learning. The research method that will be used is a descriptive method, and data analysis that will use quantitative descriptive analysis regarding interest in learning after learning. The test subjects in this research were third semester TA students. 2024/2025 Physics education study program at PGRI Silampari University. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, and the data collection instrument is a learning interest questionnaire sheet. The research results obtained after implementing the scientific-based special relativity e-module, the average student learning interest questionnaire score reached 73.17, with a percentage value of 94%, so it can be concluded that the application of the scientific-based special relativity e-module made students' learning interest very good.
