Many studies have discussed the Think-Pair-Share strategy to increase students' learning motivation in various scientific fields, especially in learning English. However, it still requires more exploration concerning TPS implementation for seventh-grader students to improve their proficiency when engaged in narrative reading. This research departs from the student's opinion about the struggle to read and understand the narrative text, and the class was so boring. Therefore, it is assumed that the use of TPS can increase the student’s motivation in reading narrative text. The design chosen is classroom action research (CAR) implemented at MTs. Darul Hikmah Jabon. The participants were 26 students. This research is done with one pre-cycle for need analysis and two cycles to see the increase of the student's score. In the pre-cycle, only three students reached the success criteria. In the first cycle, the scores did not significantly increase; only eleven students succeeded. In the second cycle, twenty-three students showed improvement. It resumed that the TPS technique is very effective for increasing student motivation on reading narrative text. This study was conducted at Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang using a convergent-parallel design, a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Eighty students of the first semester from the accounting department who were involved in a video-based learning process became the participants of this study. The data was gathered through the use of a questionnaire that included closed-ended and open-ended questions. The data from the closed-ended questions were quantitatively analyzed using descriptive statistics in SPSS. Additionally, a narrative method was used to analyze the open-ended questions. The results of this study indicate that the non-English major students have a positive perspective toward video-based learning utilization because it increases their motivation to learn and makes it easier for them to comprehend the material. This research was conducted to know the influence of the Visualization Strategy on students' reading comprehension of recount text. This study aimed to identify and describe the impact of the Visualization Strategy on students' reading comprehension. The researchers utilized a quasi-experimental method in this study. There were 283 students in nine classes. Cluster Random Sampling Technique was used to collect the sample. The sample consisted of two classes, with the following details: the first class was an experimental class of 31 students, while the second class was a control class of 31 students. The primary technique of this research was a reading test in multiple choices, which consisted of 40 items with four options. In analyzing the data, the researchers used the t-test formula. The findings show that the Visualization Strategy impacted students' reading comprehension at SMP Negeri 32 Bandar Lampung in 2021/2022. It can be seen from the result that the mean score of post-test in the experimental class (84.42) is higher than the mean score of post-test in the control class (72.54). Therefore, using a visualization strategy as a learning model is more effective than a conventional strategy. On the other hand, the pre-test score in the experimental class is 67.42 before utilizing the visualization approach, and the mean score for the post-test in the experimental class is 84.42. It indicates Visualization Strategy had a beneficial impact on reading comprehension, so the students can improve their reading skills using this learning strategy Keywords: Visualization Strategy, Reading Comprehension, Experimental Research

Direct Instruction is an approach where a teacher becomes the center of the teaching process. This teaching strategy is suitable to teach reading comprehension skills. In the process of using the Direct Instruction, a teacher needs to apply three basic concepts those are delivery, design, and documentation which means the teacher must prepare a creative lesson plan that can support students to adapt to a new concept during the ongoing process, the teacher must monitor students’ development using assessment. Some studies show that this method is effective by combining strategies or media and it can improve students’ skills. However, criticisms also hit this method. Some scholar proves from their study that this method is not always effective and is used only for students with low-level knowledge.
