Abstract

The real performance faced by most businesses, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, which is most prominent is the low level of productivity, low added value and low product quality. Among the various contributing factors, the low level of mastery of technology and entrepreneurial skills among MSMEs is the issue that is currently surfacing. Therefore, the objectives to be achieved through entrepreneurship training activities for MSME actors in the Jakamulya Village, Bekasi City are to develop and enhance the entrepreneurial spirit of MSME actors, and increase marketing management knowledge of MSME actors. Among the various contributing factors, the low level of mastery of technology and entrepreneurial skills among MSMEs is the issue that is currently surfacing. Partial MSME development so far has not provided maximum results for improving MSME performance.

Abstract

The background to the implementation of the Community Service Program was the difficulties teachers and prospective math teachers in East Flores City had in designing and managing interactive learning online. So, the main purpose of this service is to increase the competence of teachers and prospective teachers according to the needs of the target community. The dedication stage consists of (1) the Preparation Stage; (2) the Implementation Stage, and; (3) the Practice, Monitoring, and Evaluation Stage. All stages of the service are carried out in the period 1-30 August 2021. The implementation stage of the service is carried out through the webinar method and the implementation of interactive learning designs using the Quizizz and Mentimeter platforms. The target community is 20 people. The Service Team consists of 3 students and one supervisor. One mathematics education expert from Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) was involved in the implementation stage. Based on the Practice, Monitoring, and Evaluation Stages, it is known that all participants have implemented the webinar material, and more than 85% of participants stated that this service program was very useful and increased competency in designing and managing interactive learning online. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of community service has achieved the stated goals.

Abstract

The Interdisciplinary Study-Based Islamic Religious Education Doctoral Study Program conducts community service activities in the form of curriculum workshops based on religious moderation values at the Salahuddin College for Islamic Studies (STAIS), Pasuruan. The workshop is designed to assist in the curriculum development process, particularly for the Islamic Education subject and other courses based on religious moderation values. This community service project adopts the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) concept of community empowerment as its strategy. Material for the construction of higher education curricula, curricula based on religious modernization, and the local curriculum model of STAIS Pasuruan based on religious moderation and Islamic boarding schools were disseminated because of this project. The Islamic Religious Education of STAIS Pasuruan Study Program is expected to implement planned follow-up activities in the form of curriculum insertion practices.

Abstract

The school students and teachers are national assets, they are given priority when it comes to community service projects that emphasize teaching about organic vegetable growing and using natural spices in cooking to benefit kids' and instructors' health. The method used is Active and Participatory Learning, emphasizing discussion, practice, and demonstration. The results of this service have added to the understanding of students and teachers by planting organic vegetables and cooking vegetable ingredients using natural spices. It has successfully instructed pupils from a young age on how to maintain health by eating organic vegetables and herbs and carrying out the most basic tasks, such as growing plants. Vertical organic vegetables, then practice cooking with spices. The decision to adopt this viticulture planting method was made since only a small 2.5 x 4 m plot of land can be used to grow organic vegetables with the highest yields. The viticulture method itself can produce a lovely environment and economic significance. To treat students and create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere in the classroom (i). Besides that, using vegetable cooking techniques can increase students' understanding of knowing natural spices that can be used as cooking spices that guarantee the long-term health of students and teachers.

Abstract

Moringa plants have the potential as raw materials for value-added products, such as processed foods, beverages, health supplements, cosmetics, and others. Citali Village has the potential to become a Moringa village. However, it has obstacles in the mindset of the community toward Moringa. They still think that Moringa is for mystical things. This service aims to change people's attitudes about Moringa and make people able to process Moringa into a product. This service method uses the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) approach. As a result of this dedication, the people of Citali village have understood the benefits and how to cultivate and process Moringa into a product; it is hoped that it can improve the welfare of the people of Citali village. The impact of this community service activity is that the people of Citali Village can understand and better understand what Moringa is in a more positive and modern way and can process Moringa into a valuable product.

Abstract

As one of the industries engaged in the business and financial sector, banks are certainly required to keep abreast of developments by advances in technology and information. The application of digitalization in the banking industry, especially Sharia Banking, is expected to create speed, convenience, flexibility, and convenience in non-cash transactions in society. This service activity aims to educate the public regarding the benefits and advantages of Sharia Digital Banking products and non-cash transactions. The participatory community empowerment method uses the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) model. As a result of this activity, the public will receive new and accurate information on the use of Digital Banking products and be careful in non-cash transactions to avoid various financial crimes and increase public perception and knowledge of the development of Islamic Financial Literacy.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a national priority to accelerate poverty reduction. One of the PKH Beneficiary Families' (KPM) obligations to improve this is to attend Family Capacity Building Meetings (P2K2). This study aims to describe the empowerment of KPM PKH through P2K2 in the Karawaci sub-district. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are through in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. The study results show that empowerment through P2K2 for KPM in the Karawaci sub-district has been going well, but until now, there has been no independent graduation of KPM PKH due to P2K2. PKH assistants obstacles in empowering KPM PKH through P2K2, namely the participation and level of understanding of KPM. For this reason, the ability and number of assistants, P2K2 operational funds, facilities, and P2K2 module materials need attention to maximize self-graduation efforts, especially comprehensive attention related to economic aspects in empowering KPM.

Abstract

Instagram administrators @ponorogo.update, @setenpo, @iloveponorogo, and @infoponorogo have played an active role in an organic movement of citizen journalists in Ponorogo. This Instagram admin has actively amplified Ponorogo locality-themed information that residents need, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instagram in Ponorogo has been accessed with a high engagement rate. Besides that, the Instagram admin acts as a curator of information and has been able to determine the behavior patterns of netizens in Ponorogo. The social media literacy assistance service uses the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method, which consists of laying the foundation, planning research, gathering and data analysis, and acting on findings. The CBPR method is then synthesized with a theoretical framework for digital literacy levels. The result of this service program is that the Instagram Ponorogo admin and the service team succeeded in formulating a guidebook for managing Instagram as a medium for disseminating information on Ponorogo residents. This social media literacy guide booklet has been synchronized based on social media regulations and can be used applicatively. All stages of community service are practical strategic steps so that Ponorogo residents are accustomed to receiving credible and valid information (a well-informed society) and minimizing the occurrence of misinformation, disinformation, and hoaxes.

Abstract

Beji Village is one of the villages in Beji District, Depok City. Currently, Beji Village is quite dense with residents. Most of the land is used as housing for residents, so it has an impact on depleting the availability of vacant land as water catchment areas. This causes the area to become prone to flooding. This service aims to assist the people of Beji, Depok, build rainwater infiltration wells through Rain Water Harvesting to overcome flood proneness. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) is used in this assistance by inviting the community to participate in Extension and Education, Training and Guidance, Field Assistance, Community Involvement, Research and Monitoring, and Partnership Development. This service resulted in rainwater harvesting, which has absorption two times faster than before. It can be illustrated that rainwater will usually recede within half an hour at the service location. With this infiltration well, incoming rainwater can recede within 10-15 minutes for a field area of approximately 80 m2. This shows the success of community service in reducing the risk of flooding in Beji Village and providing effective solutions to address the problem of water availability and water management in the area.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a degenerative disease with an increasing number that continues to grow from year to year. Data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) shows that the prevalence of diabetes patients will increase to 84%, from 82 million to 151 million. Uncontrolled blood sugar levels can cause serious diseases that affect the heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves. Aim: Knowing the effectiveness of the Telehealth DM Group application in controlling blood sugar levels in DM type 2 patients. Method: This study uses Research and Development (R&D) and quasi-experimental development methods with a pre-post control group design and uses a random sampling technique. Results: The Telehealth DM Group Smartphone Android application is feasible based on expert validation tests with marks of 93.33%. There is a difference in blood sugar levels before being given pre-intervention (219 mg/dl). After being given post-intervention (160 mg /dl) with a value of 0.002, the Telehealth DM Group application can control blood sugar levels of 58.6 mg/dl with a value of 0.004. Conclusion: Telehealth DM Group Android smartphones are effective as an educational and health service media in controlling blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
