Abstract

This research aims to analyze the use of information technology in improving administrative service performance at the Hilihambawa Village Office, Gunungsitoli Idanoi District, Gunungsitoli City. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the use of information technology at the Hilihambawa Village Office is not yet optimal. Although technological tools such as computers and the internet are available, their use is still limited due to a lack of training and understanding among employees, as well as infrastructure challenges such as unstable internet connections. Additionally, there is resistance to change among employees and insufficient outreach to the community regarding technology-based services. The study recommends enhancing digital literacy for village employees, improving technology infrastructure, and developing more targeted managerial strategies to support the optimal use of information technology in administrative services. The results are expected to serve as a reference for village governments and other researchers in developing more effective information technology implementation strategies in village administration.

Abstract

The food crisis is a serious problem in many countries, especially developing countries, even though various steps and policies have been taken to overcome it. Population growth, the intensity of environmental changes such as floods, droughts, extreme variability in temperature or rainfall are triggers for food crises. The threat of a food crisis has an impact on food scarcity, limited food supplie , drastic increases in food and energy prices, high inflation and leading to malnutrition and poverty rates that are difficult to control. However, for Indonesia, apart from the food crisis being a threat, on the other hand the current food crisis could be an opportunity, because Indonesia has substitute food ingredients, one of which is sago, the potential and development of which is in the Meranti Islands Regency, Riau Province. The data analysis technique used to describe the potential of sago and its derivative products is analyzed through SWOT Analysis. The results of this study state that sago is a superior regional product that has enormous opportunities to be developed technically, economically and socially. Technically, the Meranti Islands Regency area is very suitable as a place to grow sago trees with the best quality results in Indonesia. The threat of a food crisis does not apply to Meranti Islands Regency; in fact, the threat has the potential to turn into an economic opportunity. The development of sago as a food substitute requires the role of a government with an entrepreneurial spirit. In the sago development policy and program, the Meranti Islands Regency Government, which has an entrepreneurial spirit, has a Core Strategy, Consequence Strategy, Customer Strategy, Control Strategy and Cultural Strategy. Where this strategy is an embodiment in the form of a technical strategy of the strategy in quadrant II (Diversification) of the SWOT analysis where this position indicates an organization (Meranti Islands Regency) that is strong (sago potential) but still faces big challenges

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of strategic human resources practices and operational efficiency on business performance within the aviation sector, with a focus on Employee Engagement and Organizational Culture as mediating factors. The study utilized a quantitative approach with a sample of 82 staff members from Juanda International Airport, applying a random sampling technique and employing SmartPLS for data analysis. The research examined how Recruitment and Selection and Training and Development influence Employee Engagement, which in turn affects Business Performance. It also explored how Process Optimization and Resource Management impact Operational Efficiency and, subsequently, Business Performance. The findings indicate that both Recruitment and Selection and Training and Development significantly enhance Employee Engagement, which positively influences Business Performance. Operational Efficiency, influenced by Resource Management, also affects Business Performance, though Process Optimization did not show a direct significant effect. Organizational Culture emerged as a critical mediator, linking Operational Efficiency to Business Performance. The study underscores the importance of integrated strategic human resources practices and efficient operational processes in optimizing business outcomes. These results provide valuable insights for organizations aiming to improve their performance through effective human resources and operational strategies. Future research is suggested to explore additional variables and contexts to deepen the understanding of these relationships.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of job design, organizational culture, and job satisfaction on innovative behavior at the Indonesian Aviation Academy Banyuwangi. Using statistical analysis and SEM-PLS, we examined direct and indirect relationships between these variables. The results indicate that both job design and organizational culture have significant positive effects on innovative behavior. A well-structured job design enhances employees' involvement and responsibility, which in turn boosts innovative behavior. Likewise, a strong organizational culture fosters an environment where innovation is valued and promoted. Job satisfaction also positively influences innovative behavior; however, it does not mediate the relationship between job design and innovative behavior or between organizational culture and innovative behavior. Consequently, while job satisfaction contributes to innovative behavior, it does not act as a mediator in these relationships. The findings suggest that for API Banyuwangi, focusing on comprehensive job designs and a supportive organizational culture is crucial for fostering innovation, with job satisfaction playing a supportive role rather than a mediating one.

Abstract

The development of tourist villages depends on the involvement of local communities and their social capital relationships. Social capital describes social life in which people collaborate to increase income. On the other hand, Bonjeruk Village has not succeeded in utilizing its social capital effectively to build and develop its potential. The aim of this research is to study how social capital impacts the income level of people in Bonjeruk Village. Social capital, which consists of the components of social networks, participation, norms, and trust, plays an important role in rural economic development. This study used an associative quantitative approach and involved one hundred respondents with random sampling. Data analysis used the SEM-PLS 4 program. Structural equation model analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between variables. The research results show that the level of participation, social networks and norms in Bonjeruk Village are very positive. However, in contrast to the trust variable in Bonjeruk Village, it is still low, which shows the relationship between social capital and community income. The results show that increasing trust in society is an important component of social capital.

Abstract

Understanding the factors influencing bank efficiency is crucial for maintaining the health of financial institutions and fostering broader economic growth. From a strategic management perspective, suboptimal bank performance often stems from specific internal and external factors, such as inefficiencies in resource management, organizational development, and competitive strategy implementation. Over the past two decades, scholars, practitioners, and policymakers have increasingly focused on analyzing the complexities of bank performance. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach to provide a comprehensive analysis of bank efficiency, focusing on cost and profit functions. The cost function examines the relationship between input prices and output levels, illustrating that costs vary with changes in output quantity and input prices. Conversely, the profit function assesses how profits are influenced by variations in both input and output prices, offering a more nuanced understanding of how banks can optimize their financial performance. By integrating these two critical functions, the research makes significant contributions to the literature on bank efficiency, providing practical insights for bank management and regulators. It underscores the importance of closely monitoring and optimizing cost and profit functions to ensure sustained efficiency within the banking sector. Additionally, the study advances theoretical understanding by bridging traditional economic models with modern strategic management theories, offering a more holistic view of bank efficiency. The research also suggests avenues for future studies to explore the interplay between cost and profit functions across various banking environments, thereby enhancing both the theoretical and practical knowledge of bank performance.
