Abstract

This research investigates the influence of airport experience on passenger satisfaction and the perception of green image at Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). The study utilizes the Experience Economy Theory, examining the roles of entertainment, education, aesthetics, and escapism in shaping passenger satisfaction and contributing to YIA’s green image. Data were collected from 327 passengers using a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to analyze the relationships between the dimensions of the airport experience and their impact on passenger satisfaction and green image. The results indicate that educational and escapist experiences significantly enhance both satisfaction and green image, whereas entertainment and aesthetic dimensions have a less significant impact on the perception of YIA’s sustainability efforts. This study provides insights for airport managers on how to improve airport experiences and green initiatives to foster stronger passenger loyalty and environmental awareness.

Abstract

The tourism industry plays a significant role in Indonesia's economy, particularly in regions with strong tourism potential. One notable cultural tourism destination in Jakarta is Kampung Betawi Setu Babakan, renowned for its unique Betawi cultural heritage. The area showcases diverse local wisdom, including Betawi architecture, cuisine, arts, and traditions, which hold considerable potential for integration into tourism development. Enhancing the career development of tourism employees at Kampung Betawi Setu Babakan is crucial to sustaining service quality and maintaining the destination’s appeal. This study aims to: (1) analyze current career development practices for tourism employees in Kampung Betawi Setu Babakan; (2) identify Betawi local wisdom that can be incorporated into employee career development; and (3) propose a career development model grounded in Betawi local wisdom. Employing a case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. Findings reveal that career development practices in Kampung Betawi Setu Babakan remain suboptimal and lack integration of Betawi local wisdom. Key elements of Betawi culture, such as traditional architecture, culinary arts, and performing arts, were identified as potential resources for employee career development. The study formulates a career development model incorporating these cultural elements, featuring local wisdom-based training, culturally aligned career pathways, and a remuneration system that values contributions to cultural preservation. The proposed model offers managerial implications for improving service quality, enhancing destination competitiveness, and ensuring the sustainability of Betawi cultural heritage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze social media activity in influencing voting intention through various mediating factors, such as political branding, virality (e-WOM), opinions, trust, and religious beliefs. The study employs a Structural Equation Modeling approach based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the relationships between variables in the research model. Data were collected from 226 respondents selected based on specific criteria. The findings indicate that Social Media Marketing significantly influences candidate image, party image, voter trust, voter opinion, virality (e-WOM), religious beliefs, and voting intention. Moreover, party image, voter trust, and voter opinion have significant effects on voting intention, while candidate image, virality (e-WOM), and religious beliefs do not show significant effects. In terms of mediation, voter opinion and party image are proven to mediate the relationship between social media activity and voting intention, whereas other variables do not demonstrate significant mediation effects. This study is expected to provide new insights into how social media interactions affect voting intention. The findings also suggest that the success of political campaigns in the digital era requires strategies tailored to specific audiences based on their demographics, social media usage preferences, and religious beliefs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationships between digital leadership and person-job fit on job performance through work commitment as a mediating variable in the public sector context. The research was conducted at BBKKP (Center for Leather, Rubber and Plastic) Yogyakarta, employing a quantitative approach with survey methodology. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that digital leadership significantly influences work commitment but does not directly affect job performance, while person-job fit demonstrates significant effects on both work commitment and job performance. Work commitment emerges as a crucial mediating variable, showing the strongest direct effect on job performance and significantly mediating the relationships between both digital leadership and person-job fit with job performance. This study extends the current understanding of digital leadership effectiveness by demonstrating that its influence on performance operates primarily through employee commitment rather than direct effects, contributing to the growing body of literature on digital transformation in public sector organizations. The findings have important implications for public sector management, suggesting that organizations should focus on building employee commitment as a key mechanism for translating digital leadership initiatives and person-job fit considerations into improved performance outcomes, particularly in the context of digital transformation.
