Abstract

This research aims to develop an interactive flipbook learning medium named TRADISIBUKU (Kudus Cultural Literacy through Legend Stories) to enhance the reading comprehension abilities of fourth-grade students at SD 1 Gondangmanis. This developmental research employs the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects comprised 8 fourth-grade students from SD 1 Gondangmanis. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and tests (pre-test and post-test). Validation results from media experts and material experts indicated that the TRADISIBUKU flipbook is highly feasible and good for use as a learning medium, receiving positive responses from the teacher. Small-scale trials demonstrated an improvement in students' reading comprehension, evidenced by an average N-Gain score of 0.6063 (60.63%), categorized as "medium". This suggests that the TRADISIBUKU flipbook is quite effective in improving students' learning outcomes and has the potential to be an engaging and culturally relevant learning tool. For further development, it is recommended to conduct large-scale trials and incorporate interactive game features.

Abstract

Mata kuliah Metodologi Penelitian Pendidikan (MPP) merupakan mata kuliah wajib bagi mahasiswa, khususnya mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan. Mata kuliah ini memberikan pengetahuan kuantitatif kepada mahasiswa. Sejalan dengan uraian tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil analisis kebutuhan awal dalam pengembangan buku teks untuk mata kuliah MPP bagi mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif pengembangan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Observasi dilakukan selama perkuliahan MPP. Wawancara dilakukan dengan mahasiswa. Analisis dokumen dilakukan dengan menganalisis dokumen dalam bentuk RPS. Setelah itu, data dianalisis kembali berdasarkan teori dan pendapat ahli. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: (1) mahasiswa sangat menginginkan pengembangan buku teks untuk mata kuliah MPP sebagai referensi utama perkuliahan; (2) buku teks yang diinginkan mahasiswa adalah buku teks yang memuat petunjuk langkah demi langkah penggunaan program SPSS; (3) mahasiswa lebih menyukai buku teks yang didesain rapi dan minimalis, sehingga memudahkan mereka belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian untuk mengeksplorasi cara menerapan model pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri dapat meningkatkan hasil buku PJOK pada siswa di program studi UPMI. Ada dua kelompok siswa yang diberi perlakuan berbeda: kelompok eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran interaktif, sementara kelompok kontrol menggunakan metode pengajaran tradisional. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dan eksperimental. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa penggunaan model pengajaran interdisipliner dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan, terutama dalam berpikir kritis dan pemecahan masalah. Ide ini berasal dari penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berdasarkan Inquiry dapat membuat siswa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar dan membantu mereka memahami konsep yang dipelajarinya (Zheng, Warschauer, & Zheng, 2018; Furtak et al., 2012). Gagasan pokok penelitian ini adalah agar model pembelajaran berbasis Inquiry dapat digunakan secara efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khususnya pada bidang pendidikan kesehatan.

Abstract

Self-confidence and learning motivation are affective factors that are thought to contribute to elementary school students' mathematical literacy. Mathematical literacy is an important skill in learning such as AKM, but it is still low in this school. This study aims to examine the effect of self-confidence and learning motivation on the mathematical literacy of fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Rendeng Kudus. The research approach used is quantitative with a causal associative type and explanatory design. The sample consisted of 30 students with a saturated sample technique. The research instruments were Likert scale questionnaires and mathematical literacy tests based on AKM questions. Data analysis techniques included prerequisite tests and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the F test showed a significance of 0.019 (<0.05) which means there is a significant effect simultaneously. The t test showed a significance of 0.005 for self-confidence and 0.03 for learning motivation. The R² value of 0.200 indicates that both variables explain 20% of the variation in mathematical literacy. This finding confirms the importance of strengthening the affective aspect in mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penyandang disabilitas sensorik netra menghadapi tantangan kompleks dalam penguasaan soft skill yang berperan penting bagi kemandirian, partisipasi sosial, dan kesiapan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manajemen soft skill serta mengidentifikasi kendala implementasinya di lembaga rehabilitasi. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan sepuluh penerima manfaat, empat staf pembimbing, dan dua pengelola lembaga. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan telaah dokumen program pelatihan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan soft skill mencakup perencanaan kurikulum pelatihan, pembimbingan terstruktur, dan evaluasi berbasis kompetensi sosial serta emosional. Namun, implementasinya terkendala oleh keterbatasan sumber daya manusia terlatih, minimnya sarana pembelajaran adaptif, dan rendahnya dukungan kebijakan berkelanjutan. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya strategi penguatan kapasitas manajerial, penyediaan media pembelajaran inklusif, dan sinergi lintas sektor untuk memastikan keberhasilan program pengembangan soft skill bagi penyandang disabilitas sensorik netra.

Abstract

Reading ability is a fundamental foundation for learning across subjects in elementary school. Preliminary observations in a public elementary school in Grobogan Regency revealed that some fifth-grade students still experienced difficulties recognizing word structures and understanding text meaning because reading instruction lacked systematic and staged strategies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method to strengthen reading skills in upper elementary grades, extending SAS use beyond initial literacy learning. The research employed a qualitative descriptive design involving fifth-grade students as participants. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities and student work. Data analysis followed the stages of reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to capture patterns of change during the learning process. The findings show that the SAS method improves students’ reading ability through three interconnected phases: structural (introducing meaningful word and sentence patterns), analytic (guiding students to break down structures and identify relationships among parts), and synthetic (supporting students to reconstruct meaning as a coherent whole). The learning process became more interactive, contextual, and motivating, helping students develop better reading fluency while also enhancing comprehension. These results indicate that SAS is an effective instructional alternative for reading development in higher-grade primary students and has practical implications for lesson design and teacher training focused on reading comprehension improvement.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of implementing Project Based Learning (PjBL) through poster design activities to improve fifth-grade elementary school students’ learning outcomes on compound equal sentences in Indonesian language instruction. PjBL was selected for its student-centered orientation, which emphasizes active participation, collaboration, and the creation of meaningful products as part of the learning process. Mastery of compound-equal sentences is often challenging for elementary students because it requires an understanding of syntactic equivalence, clause relationships, and appropriate connectors within complex sentence structures. This study introduces poster design as a project medium that integrates grammatical understanding with visual literacy and authentic communication tasks. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and document analysis of student-created posters. Analysis focused on identifying patterns related to student engagement, understanding of compound-equal sentence structures, collaboration, and learning motivation. The findings reveal a clear improvement in students’ understanding and application of compound-equal sentences, as evidenced by the accuracy and contextual relevance of sentences presented in their posters. Increased student engagement and motivation were also observed, supported by active group discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and sustained participation throughout the project stages. The poster design activity enabled hands-on learning experiences that encouraged critical and creative thinking while fostering social interaction and responsibility within groups. These results demonstrate the practical value of PjBL in transforming abstract grammatical concepts into meaningful learning experiences. The study highlights the potential of PjBL to be adapted and scaled in similar elementary language learning contexts. Future research may explore its application across different language topics, grade levels, or through mixed-method designs to examine long-term impacts on students’ literacy development.

Abstract

Folklore is an integral part of oral tradition that not only serves as entertainment but also embodies noble values that play an important role in shaping the character of society. In the educational context, folklore has great potential as a contextual learning resource because it contains moral, religious, social, and cultural messages that are relevant to students’ lives. This study aims to analyze the cultural and religious values contained in the folklore “Desa Pamotan” and to examine its implications as a source of character education in formal education. This research employs a qualitative approach using content analysis of the text of the folklore “Desa Pamotan” found in the book Cerita Rakyat Pesisir Timur Jawa Tengah. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing to reveal the meanings and values embedded in the text. The findings indicate that the folklore “Desa Pamotan” contains moral values such as honesty, hard work, patience, and self-control; religious values such as prayer, belief in God, and spiritual practices; social values such as mutual cooperation, solidarity, and care for others; as well as cultural values including respect for nature, local traditions, and the origins of village toponymy. These values are highly relevant for integration into character education learning at the primary and secondary school levels. This study affirms that folklore can be utilized as an effective contextual learning resource for instilling character values while simultaneously strengthening cultural literacy and preserving local wisdom amid the challenges of globalization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penggunaan media audio visual berbasis cerita terhadap kemampuan memahami teks pada siswa disleksia kelas III SD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas tujuh siswa disleksia yang diberikan pretest sebelum perlakuan dan posttest setelah pembelajaran menggunakan media audio visual berbasis cerita. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pemahaman teks berbentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak sepuluh soal. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji Paired Sample t-Test, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 48,57 pada pretest menjadi 77,14 pada posttest. Hasil uji Paired Sample t-Test memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,6656 termasuk kategori sedang, menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media audio visual berbasis cerita cukup efektif meningkatkan kemampuan memahami teks pada siswa disleksia. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media audio visual berbasis cerita berpengaruh signifikan dan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memahami teks siswa disleksia di sekolah dasar

Abstract

One aspect of language skills that is very important in learning and student success in participating in school is writing ability. However, nowadays, many students are found to have difficulty writing (dysgraphia). To overcome the problem of dysgraphia in children, researchers used teaching materials in the form of LKPD (Learning Worksheets) containing worksheets designed for children with dysgraphia to practice writing. This study used a mixed method, where this study combines qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative data collection was obtained through interviews and observations related to children with dysgraphia. Meanwhile, quantitative data collection was obtained through questionnaires given to the subject's homeroom teacher to measure the effectiveness of LKPD designed for children with dysgraphia in improving their understanding of recognizing and forming letters of the alphabet. From the results of interviews and observations, it can be seen that the subject experienced writing difficulties due to a lack of literacy introduction in the home environment, a lack of interest in reading from the subject, and hereditary factors from the subject's parents. From the results of the questionnaire assessment conducted by the subject's homeroom teacher (a child with dysgraphia), it can be seen that the analysis score for the student's understanding development aspect obtained a score of 25 points with a percentage of 72% which is in the category of Developing as expected.
