Abstract

This research aims to investigate the historical heritage of Minak Braja Selebah as a social studies learning resource. By using a qualitative descriptive method the author carried out several techniques to collect data, namely by using interview methods, participant observation and literature study. From the results of research conducted by the author in the villages of Braja Luhur, Braja Mulya and Jepara Village, the results showed that Minak Braja Selebah is the oldest tribe from the formation of Braja Selebah sub-district and Way Jepara sub-district, which was first centered in the Braja Selebah area or more precisely, the government was centered in Braja Village. sublime. During the observations, several historical relics were obtained which local residents believe to be evidence of the reign of Minak Braja Selebah. Evidence of heritage found is; manuscripts, ceramic jars, ceramic plates, and tombs made from a collection of stones. The learning resources used in social studies learning cover various things in social life in society, one of which is ethnopedagogy, which views local knowledge or wisdom as a source of innovation and skills that can be used for the welfare of society. By using ethnopedagogy, social studies learning can better implement social values ​​in society.

Abstract

In the 21st century, education serves as more than a conduit for the mere transmission of knowledge; it evolves into a platform for nurturing diverse skill sets among students. Among these, creativity emerges as a pivotal asset in navigating the complexities of globalization. Nonetheless, the levels of student creativity often languish due to limited avenues for thorough exploration and expression of their ideas. To address this, innovative learning frameworks like the Project Based Learning (PBL) Model come into play, aiming to foster creativity among students. Seeks to examine the influence of employing a podcast-based PBL approach on student creativity. The study endeavors to compare the levels of creativity before and after implementing the podcast-based PBL model in experimental classes against control classes utilizing traditional recitation methods. Employing a pseudo-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design, the research engages two class cohorts: 8.A (control group, comprising 34 students) and 8.B (experimental group, comprising 34 students). Data collection methodologies encompass observation, documentation, and the distribution of student creativity questionnaires. Subsequent analysis is conducted utilizing SPSS software version 22.00 for Windows. The outcomes of the independent sample test indicate a significance value of 0.000, rejecting the null hypothesis (H0). Notably, the average creativity score of students in the experimental class registers at 36.53, compared to 34.29 in the control class, indicating a notable variance in student creativity levels between the two groups. In summary, the podcastbased project-based learning model proves effective in enhancing student creativity within social studies subjects, outperforming traditional recitation methods. The study showcases substantial enhancements across four dimensions of student creativity—fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration—with experimental classes yielding superior post-test grades compared to controls. This model fosters active student engagement, exploration, and experimentation, fostering a more significant boost in creativity compared to conventional recitation approaches

Abstract

The research aims to determine student perceptions of IPAS learning in the independent curriculum using qualitative research methods. Data was obtained through interviews with fourth semester PGSD students at Djuanda University using thematic analysis and data validity testing using source triangulation. The research results obtained four categories, which include: models, benefits, challenges and strategies in implementing IPAS learning. The research concluded that in the student perceptions, IPAS learning has various learning models, including Problem Based Learning, Discovery Learning, and Cooperative Learning which are useful in developing skills, forming character, and increasing students' scientific and social literacy. Even though there are challenges in implementing IPAS learning, teachers can develop learning strategies, such as conducting study visits, planning lessons, and forming Teacher Working Groups (KKG). This research contributes to supporting the implementation of IPAS learning in elementary schools

Abstract

A strategy is needed to develop an educational tourism village in Kajar Village to increase visitors and community interest, preserve and maintain the potential of tourist attractions, and support empowerment strategies. The objectives of this research are: 1) identify educational tourism activities in Kajar Village. 2) Describe the internal and external factors that influence the development of an education-based tourism village in Kajar Village. 3) To find out strategies for developing an education-based tourism village in Kajar Village. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. This research was carried out in Kajar Pine Park (Pijar), located in Kajar Village, Dawe District, Kudus Regency. Data was obtained by conducting interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques involve data collection, reduction, presentation, and then concluding. The results of the research explain that the strategy for developing educational tourism in Kajar Village includes collaborating with various communities and with the local government to develop tourism through APBDes assistance, developing potential education-based tourist attractions, and increasing educational experts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' interest in Karungut at SDN 4 Menteng, Palangka Raya City. The questions to be answered in this study are: 1. How is the Karungut learning process at SDN 4 Menteng, Palangka Raya City, 2. What are the factors that support students' interest in karungut at SDN 4 Menteng, Palangka Raya City, 3. What are the factors that inhibit students' interest in karungut at SDN 4 Menteng, Palangka Raya City. To answer these questions, this study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection used is observation and interviews. While in analyzing data, researcher uses interactive model analysis techniques. The results of this study are 1. Karungut learning once a week which is carried out on Wednesday accompanied by Manasai dance together from grade 1 to grade 6. Teacher who has expertise in the field of karungut and occasionally brings in people from the studio to play the kacapi, gong and gendang musical instruments. Karungut lyrics contain character education values, each karungut lyric has a meaning for students such as teaching about the value of life, respecting or honoring each other. 2. Supporting factors are the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure for students such as Kacapi, Gendang, Gong, or Speakers to accompany karungut, there is enthusiasm and joy during karungut learning and the teacher inserts karungut when teaching local content, school support for karungut by holding extracurricular activities. 3. Factors that inhibit students' interest in karungut are that some students do not understand the Ngaju Dayak language because it is not their mother tongue, when learning karungut students do not understand the meaning of the karungut lyrics so that sometimes it is difficult for teachers to teach karungut. In addition, teacher is not yet able to play musical instruments and there are no special local content teachers who specialize in karungut. This can be seen based on the results of research that has been conducted by researcher that students have a special interest in the art of karungut, there is enthusiasm and joy when learning karungut is equipped with supporting facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

In the era of Industrial Revolution 5.0, it is important to understand how social studies learning can build global awareness in students. This article explores the challenges and opportunities in implementing social studies learning in this changing era. Key challenges include technology integration, cultural diversity and understanding complex global issues. However, there are significant opportunities in the use of technology, project-based learning and the development of 21st century skills in social studies learning. The purpose of this study is to investigate how practical approaches in social studies learning can help build global awareness in students in the era of Industrial Revolution 5.0. The results showed that the integration of technology, project-based approach, and 21st century skills development significantly improved the effectiveness of social studies learning in building global awareness. The practical implementation of these strategies opens up opportunities to prepare students to be adaptive global citizens, responsive to change, and contribute to the development of a more sustainable world. In conclusion, social studies learning in the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 has great potential to be a driving force in shaping a generation that has a strong global awareness and is ready to face complex global challenges.

Abstract

This research emphasizes the importance of digital literacy in strengthening national resilience and maintaining the nation's sovereignty in the digital era. Using qualitative analysis of secondary data, this research reveals that digital literacy involves effectively using technology and critically understanding and analyzing information. The method used in this research is a qualitative analysis of secondary data that includes regulations, policies, and initiatives related to digital literacy. The results show that digital literacy is essential in improving people's ability to use information and communication technology effectively and in understanding, analyzing, and using information critically to counter propaganda and fake news. The research also emphasizes the importance of integrating digital literacy education in the curriculum, learning programs, development of educational digital content, and related regulations. The study concludes that developing digital literacy programs that are inclusive and accessible to all levels of society is essential to strengthening national resilience.

Abstract

This research evaluates the business feasibility of Café 1960 in Palangka Raya by analyzing its technical, financial, and market aspects. The study highlights strategic location, efficient operational management, and distinctive market characteristics as key contributors to the café's success. Financially, the café demonstrates strong feasibility, with a Payback Period of 7 months, a positive Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp107,550,555, and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 42.91%. The café leverages unique menus and locally oriented marketing strategies to sustain market share amidst moderate competition. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings underline the importance of local market dynamics in smaller urban settings, offering insights into sustainable business practices for similar ventures in developing regions. This research contributes to the field by presenting a comprehensive feasibility analysis that integrates technical, financial, and market perspectives, focusing on the specific context of Palangka Raya's growing café industry.

Abstract

When carrying out learning activities, a teacher or educator must pay attention to success in conveying the material correctly. As well as making learning activities more fun, interesting and not boring, for this reason a teacher must be able to use good learning models or methods such as relevant learning according to the material and not just one model that is done repeatedly. To improve better learning outcomes, teachers It is necessary to implement an appropriate learning system or model to attract students to be more active during learning. One of the learning models that can be used in social studies learning is the jigsaw learning model such as at SMP 5 Kudus which uses this learning model in delivering material. The aim of the research is to analyze the results of implementing the jigsaw learning model at SMP 5 Kudus grade VII. This research uses a qualitative approach with interview and observation methods. Data analysis was obtained using interviews, field notes and field practice. Based on the research results, it shows that this jigsaw model of learning is very effective and the results are very good when implemented at SMP 5 Kudus school.

Abstract

The teaching of Social Sciences (IPS) in elementary schools, particularly the material on economic activities, plays an important role in shaping students' understanding of social and economic life. However, many students have difficulty understanding basic economic concepts. Therefore, the implementation of effective learning strategies is highly necessary. Various studies show that appropriate learning strategies can enhance students' understanding of economic activities. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of various IPS learning strategies applied to enhance elementary school students' understanding of economic activities. The problem formulation examined in this article is: 1) How effective are IPS learning strategies in improving elementary school students' understanding of economic activities? 2) What are the challenges faced in its implementation? 3) What factors influence the success of the learning strategy? The method used in this article is a literature review. And using narrative analysis in analyzing the sources. The brief conclusion of this article is that there are at least 4 strategies to improve elementary school students' understanding of economic activities. And in applying them, there are also several problems and challenges. And external and internal factors greatly influence the success of these strategies.
